Understated Additions/Differences per Book’s Final Cut & All what Learned in Life for The Complete MH Process, vs. what Learned from Lucinda’s Self-Help Program (i.e. the Positivity Tools/Skills Process I Initially Learned)…

I locked into a Tremendous & Proven  1999 Self-Help Program purchased in 2002… Unmatched I Strongly felt, at that time , or thereafter which flat out SAVED MY LIFE! This Positivity Process adheres to Every human being regardless of their Issues for the most part… It is all about how Best to change negativity to Positivity which is a game every one of us tries or plays, but we Don’t Do A good Job at all really & certainly not even close, compared to the Self-Help Program which took 16 yrs in essence for a X-Sufferer as I am now, and her Trusted Pros to formulate.

That Program formed the core of the Positivity Process I wrote of… This Process allowed me to Crack open the negative shell which Consumed me for 25 yrs dealing with Anxiety, Depression, & OCD Issues as a Worse Case Sufferer by yesterday’s standards! By today’s MH standards who knows??  This Process would serve the same purpose for most Sufferers as well… could not imagine not… And Generally this Process teaches us to appropriately Change the way we think, operate (our actions), & how we react, or underreact to everything really… But as Life proceeded, being a Sufferer with DEEP Depression, I realized this Process  encompassing the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, Eating Well, Exercise, & :)s & laughs,  combined stacks up to about or close to Only 1/2  the Game in Life for  our MH Needs…  Since Learning this Process back in 2002, there were lots of Experiences I lived through, including additional down times, where it became Obvious, I Needed  More to Satisfy a Total MH Process to Best Deal with Our Issues… whether matters fall within Our Control (i.e. our thoughts, our actions, & how we react to things), or outside our Control!… Inevitably, All the Experiences, Growth, Maturity, I’ve gone thru, allowed me to share to All This, culminating in the “4th/Final Edition– “The Final Cut”” of the Book written over 7yrs. 4mos.

& Just recently, since I had a Serious Yearning to reach out and HELP a 12 yr old (Child still) Struggling with depression issues, I took another 4 months to publish an Equally Important Book for Our Youth since the Youngins, depending on their age & mental maturity likely would  not have the ability to Read & Work on themselves & would need the Help & Guidance from Parents granted they have the proper road map to work to/with… i.e.  This Guide: “Rise and Shine Parents Self-Help Guide for the Youngins” :).

So here are the Key Additions & Differences which exists within the Main Book & now in the Guide, since they do go hand in hand, being based on the same Principles.  Note that the included blue text is  additional info provided for clarity which extends beyond what is included in the Book:

A) “Rise and Shine Anxiety & Depression & Life Management Tools”, “The Final Cut” includes the following Additions/Differences information identified in a General form in e.g. sections 1., 1.1, 1.5, 1.8, 1.9, & 4 with some pasted below in item C):

1) Something up front I would like to clear up per what I state in section 1.1 & conversely what identified in section 1.9 of the Book when I wrote, up front, per the Original, 6/19/14 Edition of this Book:

    • In section 1.1 I wrote “…Written material alone was not good enough since I was so desperate, anxious, and perplexed, and I was not really in a state of mind to be able to read or comprehend things in my A & D saturated mind.  Of course, I did not have this Book in hand.  But even if I did, as bad as I was feeling, I would likely have fallen into this category 2), and ordered Lucinda’s (Midwest Center’s) program which is consistent with the fact the “Attacking Anxiety and Depression Program” was geared to and was advertised for those most afflicted.” 
    • Although as written in 1.9 ( in C) below): “An Individual’s reading comprehension ability, associated with their struggles with Anxiety and Depression, may be a deciding factor in determining the effectiveness of working this Book vs Lucinda’s (Midwest Center’s) program, although the program has a workbook which needs to be read and worked similarly (?).  Section 1.1, item 1), includes an approach which I believe would support improved reading comprehension  for sufferers, up front, to allow them to initiate the Process via this Book (i.e. to start off with  the Relaxation media,  as instructed in 1.1, from the get go).”

Well, I need to say Now, I take back what I wrote in section 1.1, considering for one thing I did go thru Lucinda’s Program where I did need to Read & Work on myself just like what we need to do when Reading & Working the Book I wrote… No real difference really!  Besides, based on the GROWTH of this Book & the Huge Impacts I’ve witnessed with Book in Hand,  for Worse Case individuals, or close to as bad as I was myself… e.g. the 9/1/15 & 3/3/20 Reviewers, it identifies noted 1.1 text is unwarranted!…  Blog post identified in item 7) below addresses the Effectiveness I’ve seen with Book in Hand… Here are the Links directly to the 3/3/20 Reviewer :“Life Changing!” , & the 9/1/15 Reviewer: “This book literally saved my life.”… You may want to read my Comment to the 3/3/20 Review. as well..

2) The Impacts & Importance of section 4 (Our Faith, Our Foundation, & #1 Dependence for our Well-Being) & the Importance & Power of combining Positivity Self-Talk we Learn to say to Ourselves, along with Prayer statements (ref: section 4.4), make our Self-Talk as Powerful as anything we can say to ourselves, as we allow our Faith to Grow with age!  I address in various areas of the Book,  based on all I have Learned & All I have been thru & Experienced, Our Faith/Our Foundation & #1 Dependence is at least 1/2 the Game in Life if consider Life a Game…  So there is the balance of what it Takes in Life for Life, for a Complete MH Approach!  As stated in section 1.5: “What I always say about Lucinda and what she accomplished, is that she Nailed the process allowing us to Recover from A & D, by converting us to Positive Thinking People in Life; this allows one to have an “easing of the mind and body” and relative Peace of Mind.  Personally, I feel I was able to give those Nails a few taps of assurance per the additions made, and based on the inclusion of the section 4 material, in effect, additional Nails were applied to help Amend, or Reinforce our Foundation/Core necessary to allow us to continue to Build-Up Our Positive Selves in Life and Solidify Matters.”

And as 1.1 ID’s, & as repeated in other areas of the Book: “… section 4 matters (… allowing Our Faith to Grow with age),  just may turn out to be at times, our primary means to appropriately cope with Very Difficult situations whether matters stack up within, or outside of our control.  At times, our Positivity which we can develop extensively via the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process, can only take us so far, until we reach that threshold within us, when we likely need More (i.e. Our Faith…) to Help; help from another human is very much limited.”  … And to HELP Sufferers when matters fall outside our Control… or for DEEP Depression Issues as I Suffered with, or Bipolar 2 (at least) conditions as my Son Suffered with, Our Faith/Our Foundation, & Reliance on Our #1 Dependence is HUGE!!!  I also address within the Preface of the Book & in the Main Book text: ” The Importance of Faith in dealing with Issues, Certainly does not apply to me Only, needless to say… How Often have We heard from So Many who have gone through some Seriously Difficult & Tough/Rock Bottom times with e.g. Addictions, Depression, or other, where the Common Denominator for Recovery was Their Faith #1…  How SO TRUE as I Felt It and Lived It myself first hand, especially when matters fall outside Our Control.  As previously mentioned, you may want to Read “Unbroken” (a terrific Overall Book!), or see the “Unbroken” sequel “Unbroken: Path to Redemption”, which addresses an extreme case where Faith ultimately Saved The Life of Louis Zamparini, who suffered, understandably and terribly, with PTSD, and consequently, alcoholism.”.” 

What I provided in support of the “4th/Final Edition — The Final Cut” in the Preface & repeated in the main text, I address & provided “…another level of definition tying both the Positivity Process, and section 4 (Our Faith … allowing Our Faith to Grow) together, addressing the parallels/commonality between, and the complimentary relation of Both… and when Summed Up, this clearly defines All We Really Can Do to enhance Our Positivity, and Total Wellness & Well Being.”  In support of this there were numerous paragraphs provided on behalf of this, included in the 1. Introduction of the Book & repeated in section 4, &/or 4.X subsections.  These updates were also included in a Blog post as well, entitled: ” Importance of Combining Book’s Optimum Positivity Tools/Skills Process (Only Psychology We Need to Know), with Our Foundation, Our Faith, & #1 Dependence cannot be understated… https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2019/09/17/

3) I make it Clear, contrary to what Lucinda provided in her program, this Positivity Tools/Skills Process can Help Anyone really!… She advertised her Program was intended for those specifically suffering with Anxiety & Depression only really…  But considering the total scope of what Learned & written, we just have to be human really with the ability to Read & Work on Selves to Benefit Significantly from this Process…  This Process could Definitely be beneficial for those Emotionally Average, who do struggle at times with negative thinking ways.  If they were to Read this or Work it to some extent, but to a lesser degree of Repetitive Training (e.g. maybe 1/2 the extent vs. a Sufferer’s suggested Training suggestions), or just Read it like any Book, they could shore up their Game Plan in Life to what have in this Book, & their Lives would Inevitably Improve!  Besides, contrary to Lucinda’s Program, this Book also addresses, this Process is not Only for Sufferers with Anxiety & Depression, but is Hugely Helpful for any negative thinking based conditions… As the Book says in the Preface & 1. Introduction:

    • “…. is likewise Important/Solid in dealing with all negative thinking based conditions People suffer from.  These include, PTSD, OCD, ADD, ADHD, Other acronyms (?), and Addictions (Recovery), as long as Bi-Polar or Schizophrenia based conditions are not involved, which necessitates different/unknown (to me) solutions, including the apparent needs for medication for Life (?)…” However, as I also address in the Introduction which follows:
    • “I have been wondering why I am coming across so many cases of people diagnosed with Bi-Polar type II disorder, rather recently only it seems…? … Haven’t really seen much, if any of that in the past!?  But it sure seem as far as Bi-Polar type II vs. those that suffer with Anxiety & Depression, they seem so very close in the relevant symptoms… I often wonder, that maybe in Truth, Bi-Polar II is really Anxiety & Depression, with some bad choices being made, maybe associated with Issues with One’s Foundation…  Since Professionals will never consider One’s Faith/Foundation, as being linked to  any of the conditions they deal with (…Wow..), then it would be easy for them to come up with that Bi-polar type II condition, with maybe the key underlying reason being, that condition is identified as requiring medication for Life…hmmm?!  I’ll leave it at that…” …  Actually, about the time the Book was published, my Son was diagnosed with this Bi-polar Type 2 , medication for Life they said ?!  As realized soon after, he just had to Lock into both aspects of the Book’s Process to Amend his Issues… He locked into the Positivity Tools/Skills Process  years before & did well/good with that for some time as most would do, but ignored my section 4, indicating to me, I don’t get that part of the Book “allow FAITH to Grow with age, & Importance of Our #1 Dependence (God & Jesus since we’d be Christian)… Well, when he finally realized he ought to Try that since he hit a very low point in his Life taking the meds & all, he did open up his Heart & Mind to this, & relinquished Control, reading the Bible (1) Chapter a day from Matthew & on thru New Testament, & a Daily Devotional daily read along with... Within a month he Flew/Catapulted & Dadio couldn’t be any more Pleased :)! He is Doing Beautifully, minus those meds, & I never have to worry about him again regarding his Spiritual/Emotional Strength!  Regarding Issues with Bipolar Type 1, since this Book is Everything we can do for Ourselves Naturally, with Permanent Results, couldn’t imagine this Book not Helping to a Great Extent!.. Actually the suggestions I provided to my Son, I’d provide to Anyone who was not sure of their Faith… These specific suggestions were not provided in the Main Book but were included in section 1.2.1 in the Parent’s Guide for the Youngins… where this information is not only provided on behalf of the Youngins, but Certainly for Parents as well!

4)  I provided mistakes I made in the process of going thru Lucinda’s Self-Help Program, so that no one makes the same mistakes as I did! I address such things as, like a broken record I ID the IMPORTANCE of ya Gots to be Patient in Process of Working this… Don’t go Faster than what the Instruction set IDs as I tried to go thru the Process in Record time causing me to miss some subtle but Very Important things in Process; this made me struggle beyond much more than necessary subsequently for just about 10 yrs before realizing what the Instructions actually said!…  Another matter I bring up a number of times, like a broken record, is the needs to diligently Read & Work on ourselves, & to stick to It, because this Has To Be The Answer to Our Issues… Not that I didn’t do this needless to say, but It’s IMPERATIVE to bring this up for All!… & Remember Don’t let the words “I Can’t” control & dominate your Life, because most of you Can Do This! … “The only time we should use “Can’t” in our vocabulary, is in the Positive Statement, There is Nothing I Can’t Do :)!”

5)  I do address Experiences going thru the Process, where I provide Personal Positive Self-Help Talk in a number of areas to Help Amend Matters/Issues…  I make it Clear, All will desire to adjust & Personalize Positivity Self-talk statements at times so that they would be most fitting to the Individual themselves, & besides it is likely individuals will come up with other ones on their own… Between  Lucinda’s Positivity Self-talk statements, as well as my own provided in the Book, this provides an Excellent starting point in the Process for Anyone!

What I included were  (4) Uplifting/ Positivity Self talk statements which I found Very Important & Beneficial when dealing with Depression aspects in Life…  Additionally, in section 4.4, I provided these (4) Positivity statements and combined them with a common & Deep & Powerful ending Prayer statement which you would Understand that to be, as you allow Your Faith to grow with age…, which is the Main Message in section 4 in Effect.   I came up with these statements, as I wrote, when dealing with DEEP Depression at a time in Life when realized the Process of Positivity alone was not cutting it… I realized I needed MORE… That is when I realized for the First time How Powerful FAITH comes into play in our Lives when dealing with matters that push beyond our breaking point.  I included these Powerful (4) Positivity/Prayer statements in the Blog post addressed per item 8) below.

6) Besides the above noted Experiences, I provide text addressing Experiences going thru 4 Xs in the Psych. wards, subsequent out-patient care, while dealing with numerous MH Professionals, besides, Private Sector MH Pros… Where…  “I felt like a hamster running on those spinning wheels in a cage, going nowhere, really, when I was caught up in that professional web.”Such a Hopeless situation I was caught up in with no hope in sight I felt!!  … I Learned Absolutely NOTHING during those times on How to deal with my Issues Naturally, which I eventually Learned & Wrote of… THANKS GOD!!!!It was All About The Meds where Sufferers feel, maybe the only route we can take when dealing with MH Issues is thru the meds???!!!… So Wrong!!!  Wrote an associated Blog post addressing all this & entitled it : “Numbing=s State of Our Mental Health from what personally Witnessed during Trying Times, & Objective View when took a step Back and Observed; Likely, MH Issues not much different now…” https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2019/09/05

7)  Book provides the Positivity Tools/Skills Process I Learned in a amended, “compressed & condensed” format, using my own words for the most part but provided Lucinda’s “quoted” words which I couldn’t match in a few areas  (e.g. regarding Anger towards to others which was not part of my make-up but can be a Key Source of our Issues for Others)… I altered Lucinda’s 15 week program to approx. a 12 week program, with Nothing Amiss at all :)!…  Went over what written Countless times thru the 4 Editions generated, Ensuring Content Integrity, inside and out!…. Take a look at section 1.9 text below which breaks down the differences between Lucinda’s Program which includes a Workbook & Audio to go along with, vs. this Book. But just to let you know based on what I witnessed for those who were willing to put the Read & Work on themselves, for 100% of those, the Impacts witnessed were Not just Good, but Tremendous… “Life Savings”, “Life Changing”…as I also addressed in item 1) above.  In effect, it became Obvious the Effectiveness of the Book was just as Strong & Definitely More Effective in the Long run with the Addition of  section 4 material & related vs. Lucinda’s Program… I wrote a rather elaborate Blog Post on this … “Truth be told (goes without saying…) which  IDs Book/Book’s Process Substance & Effectiveness Known & Witnessed with Book in hand…It All Sums Up :)!…”  https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2020/03/10

8)  “Logical undertones” were provided, I call them, which really amounted to an analytical breakdown of Lucinda’s Process & furthermore per the corresponding but Amended Process included in the Book, indicating & identifying how Logically & Factually Based this Process Is, & Hence why So Effective!… Also, in the Book’s 1. Introduction, and as repeated in section 4, I included a complete breakdown of the True “Importance of Combining Book’s Optimum Positivity Tools/Skills Process (Only Psychology We Need to Know), along with Our Foundation, Our Faith, & #1 Dependence which cannot be understated!”… Wrote corresponding blog post on this which was included in the Parents Guide for the Youngins, where copied/pasted these same word per the Main Book text:  https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2019/09/17/ 

Positivity Process “logical undertones” were provided  so that I could present the Program in Layman’s terms, addressing, again how Logically & Factually based this Process is and Why it is So Effective! So I bring up such things s the fact the 21 day rule of thumb to form a new habit was used/considered in the Repetitive Training Process needs... & address the Importance of Proven Repetitive Training process associated with the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, Faith Formation, & in the latest publishing… “Rise & Shine Parents Self-Help Guide for the Youngins”, I address its Importance as well as Parents flow-down to their Children as they mature, “Real Life” tidbits & information, to them on a “Consistent & Repeated” basis to Prepare & Ready them as stresses begin to amount,.. & as the Parents continue this, the Youngins will then will be Ready when they leave Moms & Dads to begin their Life’s Journey with a Secure/Independent make-up.

9) Per  1.8 a) as  included in C) below,  meaning of the various formatting provided in the Book is identified.  As written…”The italicized text addresses information that goes beyond what Lucinda’s Attacking Anxiety and Depression program identifies as far as the tools/factors necessary to help our recovery. This includes all of section 4, for the most part as identified, my personalized approach/affirmations, self-talk, or thoughts in light of the subject skills/tools.  But anything that is marginal material is considered a fallout or extrapolation of the information Lucinda provided through sections 2, 3, 5,& 7,  so all credit to her Program and Her Efforts which Saved My Life!  FYI: Pretty much all of section 1.  Introduction/Rationale text, is deserving of italicized format addressing why the Positivity Tools Process, and section 4 matters separately, and combined, are So Important and Effective when Caring for Ourselves. You will find this repeated text, fit for and included in section 4, italicized.”… So Yeah, actual contributions I provided in formulating this Total Process was understated within the Book… No Real Matter because again, Lucinda Saved My Life :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10) Something Very Important which was subtle in thought at the time when I Originally wrote the Book is how I broke down the Positivity Tools/Skills Process & Instruction set in terms of section 5 being entitled “BASIC/KEY TOOLS  NEEDED TO COMBAT AND RID ONE OF ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION.”, which culminates in section 5.5 entitled “Converting Negatives to Positives is Paramount and the Key To Success & Recovery.”  … As I now address in the Book’s 1. Introduction: “The Book’s approach is Self-Personalized, as the process appropriately Conditions a Sufferer, allowing them to drill down to their individual negative thoughts (and their mindset in sum) [[in Sum that’d be what section 5 in the Book is All about]]), and sources of their negativity as Best as they can, to unravel and then amend matters Positively.  What can be more personalized than that, especially since, negative thinking is the root cause of most A & D, or related, Issues?!  When properly Conditioned, who knows more than the Sufferer does about their own negativity?… No One!”… Then there is  section 6, entitled: “WHERE DID/DOES ALL THAT NEGATIVITY COME FROM, RESOLVING SOURCES OF OUR NEGATIVITY, AND SPECIAL TOOLS TO AMEND MATTERS.”  … & as I address later address in the Book’s Final Cut, in 1. Introduction:…”What I learned and what that Self-Help program and this Book boils down to, is if you properly deal with the root cause and the lowest level of problems we have with Anxiety & Depression, or related, i.e. our negative thoughts, and the sources of those thoughts, and change that up and our mindsets to be Positive, well that is the Logical if not Factual solution… a solution I did not here of any time when dealing with Professionals (?); these thoughts, control our mind/body chemistry, and hence our feelings resulting in the A & D, or related conditions… 100%!“… So YES, this Process completely allows us to whittle down to our Individual negative thoughts & sources of our negativity, which involves the Root Cause of Our Issues 100%, & then Amending things Positively… POWERFUL Breakdown not identified directly in Lucinda’s Program…  Yeah, much more than “logical undertones” :)…

11)  Intended Relaxation Media which was included as a Youtube link in the Main Book is now unavailable… I mention this up front in all sites the Book, “Rise and Shine Anxiety & Depression & Life Management Tools” Book is provided on as a heads up as I refer to a Blog post to look into for alternate options, or…  e.g. In case the Individual chooses to use an alternate Relaxation Media, in which case Key Details which separates the Intended Relaxation Media from others I am aware of, are Included such that the Individual can make adjustments in Process of using an alternate more appropriately/effectively, up to 3 times a day when kick off this Positivity Tools/Skills Process from the get go as addressed per the Process’s First Step (5.2)… Great care was provided in noted Blog post such that there is even  a possibility an individual could potentially just do the Relaxation Routine on their own considering the Details & Clarity of what provided… But for a Significant Sufferer, I address it would be Best to order the Intended Relaxation Media to eliminate All Confusion!   The Blog post also clarifies & corrects information  contained in the Book which was intended at the time of  the Intended Relaxation Media Youtube availability, words of explanation to maybe help an individual personalize their own Relaxation routine.  Here is the Blog post: https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2020/08/23

12) On the minor side of what provided but thought it would be worthwhile to address in Book’s 1. Introduction, & provide in this Blog post as well:

    • “Regarding the Importance of Positivity from other People’s perspectives, the Book “The Secret”, published in 2006, which is understood to be the #1 Motivational/Self-Help Book of all time, selling more than 19,000,000 copies, addresses it’s Importance.  The Secret essentially identifies, in the eyes/thoughts of famous people in the past, the common understanding is that we need to think Positive to Aspire in Life; how True that is!  As Wikipedia addresses about that Book: “It is based on the law of attraction and claims that Positive thinking can create life-changing results such as increased happiness, health, and wealth…… as we think and feel, a corresponding frequency is sent out into the universe which attracts back to us events and circumstances on that same frequency. For example, if you think angry thoughts and feel angry, it is claimed that you will attract back events and circumstances that cause you to feel more anger.” And of course on the flip side, when we exude Positivity, we get Positivity back in return from the Universe.   In a related DVD I saw “What the Bleep Do We Know Anyway”, highly educated People/Scholars discuss Positive thinking and the Positive return phenomena based on quantum physics and the mysteries of the universe, and some still wonder if there is a God;  (? :)); hmmm, so who created or designed our Universe and quantum physics :)?   Anyway, “The Secret” sounds to be a real Good Book, although, from my understanding, it does not address to the reader How To think Positive in Life.  23 years earlier, the Lady I learned from, started her business to determine the Best Approach to Deal with Anxiety and Depression. That Approach which she and her experts developed is, I am Convinced to be, How Best To convert our negative thoughts and mindset to Positive Thoughts and Mindset in Life, considering the way we are, think, and operate as humans.  And again, this is what I funneled into this Book along with a few Key Elements I was able to provide, which I Know can Only Help.”

B) These areas of the Book, in a very indirect way, are a spinoff from what I’ve Learned from Lucinda’s Program, but as I addressed in the Book, again in section 1.8 as it states… “Bottom line, this marginal material is considered a fallout or extrapolation of the information Lucinda provided through sections 2, 3, 5,& 7,  so all credit to her Program and Her Efforts which Saved My Life!” … But yeah, what I provided in the Book in these areas was Understated as far as provided contributions to the Total Process & Considerations… 

1)  Section 5.2 being the First Step  per the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, which is a Very Powerful way to kick-off the Process to Improve & Amend Our Issues,  provides up front Conditioning Needs for those who Struggle. For Great reasons I entitled It: “You need to start Loving Yourself Unconditionally today and thereafter no matter what and no matter how you feel in the process to improve!” & Felt it Very fitting to name this First Step in Process as such :)… So after going thru Lucinda’s Process several times actually, I realized the Best way to kick off this 1st Step Process is to apply the following first 5.2 Action:

“Actions: 

    • Write down all the Positives that you can think about yourself. Every day, during the initial process of improvement/recovery, and/or if you are feeling down, take out that list of Positives and re read it and believe in it.   
    • As you progress through the process, amend or add to this list. …”

2) Additional Content /Sections which goes beyond what Lucinda provided… maybe a mere mention of what provided but decided to Expand on based on the Understood Significance of :

    • Section 6.1, entitled: “Our Environment and How We Were Brought Up During Those Formative Years.”  Actually, I don’t recall any of this being mentioned in the Program I learned from but, I did not want to Ignore such Important Factors in Life! … As partially ID’d only: “Our environment and how we were brought up during those formative years is obviously a huge factor in determining what negatives or Positives we have and what we will be carrying into our lives as adults.” ….     • Section 6.9, entitled: “Under-analyze instead of Over-analyzing everything” … Where provide pertinent & important thoughts on such matters… As written & as partially ID’d only …”If you have A and D you are likely a very analytical / detail-oriented type, and a perfectionist.  When we get into an A & D negative mind set we often over analyze anything and everything…. Furthermore… “When you have a situation where you find yourself analyzing/overanalyzing things which you do not need to do, just like every negative we come up with, you need to put up that stop sign and challenge it.   Then hit that mental switch and use the self-talk necessary to tell yourself (e.g. Hey (name), chuckle, you don’t need to analyze how that works...) to under analyze it, or not analyze it at all.  We certainly don’t have to figure out everything, but sometimes we think we need to.” Suggestions to amend related issues not provided here… Sorry…
    • Section 6.10, entitled: “People in our Lives.”  … This is an Expansion from what was subtly & indirectly identified in the Program I learned from.  As written & as partially ID’d only … “Our lives, how we are brought up, what environment we were raised in, what environment we are in now, influence of the media that demonstrates how Life and people should be in a sensationalized/unreal manner, and the confrontations/situations that we have had with people in the past, have resulted in our current attitude toward our fellow man/woman and how we react towards them.  People are for the most part very good natured, but there are those interesting (loaded word) few out there in the world that can leave us with, generally, a sour/tainted taste and attitude towards people in general.  Consequently, this impacts how people think of others and how they think others think of them.” Furthermore … “It is common for people to be concerned about what others think of them for various reasons.  This is especially true with sufferers from Anxiety and Depression.  Sufferers constantly worry about what other people think, going overboard in believing that others are always paying attention to them and that they are constantly being critiqued and evaluated by others.  This feeling is accentuated when this negative/unreal thinking is accompanied by all those body symptoms setting oneself up for potential panic; they become fearful of everyday Living and their interaction with people.” Suggestions to amend related issues not provided here… Sorry…
    • Section 6.14, entitled: “Avoid being Ritualistic/Regimented and Be Flexible and Non-Rigid”… As written & as partially ID’d only… “People often become more Ritualistic/Regimented, and less flexible with age.  Being Ritualistic is also a character quality of those that suffer from Anxiety and Depression.  Reason being is that sufferers from Anxiety and Depression do not like change including changes from their regular daily routine. “… And as Suggested …Other than using the tools/skills identified in this process of recovery, as identified, try to avoid being ritualistic and regimented in what you do in a given day.  This actually caters to more willingness to go with the flow, and not being so impacted when changes in the course of the day to your routine does occur.  This makes it easier to underreact (that magic word) when daily tweaks and changes occur or when you need to adapt to changes in Life.  So, mix up the day, your exercise routine, what you eat, changing when you do what in the course of the day to remain flexible, or maybe do something out of the ordinary every now and then.”
    • Section 6.15, entitled: “Stay Active, and if you can, follow your Dreams & Passion/Purpose.” … As written & as partially ID’d only… “Based on our circumstances and responsibilities we have in our lives (family, children, etc.) we may not be able to follow our dreams in what we do at certain times in our lives.  However, when we have families, to fend for, then that should be Our #1 Passion/Purpose during that time in Life.  Although, if you can work toward a personal Passion/Desire/Goal eventually, this is extremely powerful and Positive. And Yes, this Passion/Desire/Goal likely could turn out to be your Purpose. Finding Purpose in Life, is something I would think we all strive for.” Furthermore…

      “If you have a Passion/Goal which you desire to achieve then generate a written plan to achieve that Goal, but regarding your expectations of achieving your goal, refer to the Tidbit/last paragraph identified in section 5.2.4

      Goal setting is an extremely important tool in Life.  It is crucial to establish a course of action for ourselves whether how far in the future they may be geared to, or if it just happens to be for the next day or week ahead.

      Laziness and boredom and just pondering things just does not serve us well to say the least. Lack of activity can produce very high levels of Anxiety and Depression.  We need to keep our bodies and minds active in our lives….”

Per section 1.1:

“Book, which again, has Additional Key Supplemental Information that can only Help.  Based on what I have learned through the many years of my Life (62 years now), I strongly feel section 4 material is paramount in Solidifying ones Recovery, Well Being, and Peace of Mind which is everyone’s goal in Life.  Besides, section 4 matters (… allowing Our Faith to Grow with age),  just may turn out to be at times, our primary means to appropriately cope with Very Difficult situations whether matters stack up within, or outside of our control.  At times, our Positivity which we can develop extensively via the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process, can only take us so far, until we reach that threshold within us, when we likely need More (i.e. Our Faith…) to Help; help from another human is very much limited.

I included Positive self-talk that I found to be Very Important in my recovery and everyday Living. This included merging Positivity self-talk together with section 4 elements, as addressed in section 4.4, empowering the self-talk statements and Ourselves, as we talk to ourselves :).  Additionally I included those mistakes I made, when I initially jumped into the program… mistakes you do not want to repeat (Believe Me!).  Subsequent to Recovery and Self-Improvement, this Book would satisfy your needs for as required refreshers, which certainly can be very beneficial at times in Life!”

Per section 1.5:

This Book provides a condensed/compressed form of the Attacking Anxiety and Depression program material plus additional material including Section 4, Key elements and Positive Self-Talk which I found to be Very Important in my recovery and everyday Living; this included merging Positivity self-talk together with section 4 elements, as addressed in section 4.4, which may double up the Power in self-talk we provide to ourselves :). The core information per Lucinda’s program is presented in this Book in a slightly different manner, mostly expressed/explained using my own words, but with no sacrifice in its meaning.   And again, I have included those many mistakes I have made in the process to educate one on what they do not want to do.  The additional key elements I provided were, in part, Very Important for me when dealing with matters which tended to pull me down towards the depressive side of the Anxiety and Depression fence.  Regarding section 4 material, I am convinced this is at least half the game in helping solidify recovery from A & D, our Well Being, and our Peace of Mind.  I strongly feel the order and approach/format provided is extremely effective in its approach to Help you (and Help you significantly if you really work it!).

Additional logical undertones have also been added to this Book, which I was able to provide after having the opportunity, based on the mistakes I made, to filter and analyze the information continuously over the course of 10 years. ……….. 

What I always say about Lucinda and what she accomplished, is that she Nailed the process allowing us to Recover from A & D, by converting us to Positive Thinking People in Life; this allows one to have an “easing of the mind and body” and relative Peace of Mind.  Personally, I feel I was able to give those Nails a few taps of assurance per the additions made, and based on the inclusion of the section 4 material, in effect, additional Nails were applied to help Amend, or Reinforce our Foundation/Core necessary to allow us to continue to Build-Up Our Positive Selves in Life and Solidify Matters.”

Per section 1.8 :

a)  The italicized text addresses information that goes beyond what Lucinda’s Attacking Anxiety and Depression program identifies as far as the tools/factors necessary to help our recovery. This includes all of section 4, for the most part as identified, my personalized approach/affirmations, self-talk, or thoughts in light of the subject skills/tools.  But anything that is marginal who did what, well I will never take any credit for it, so all this information will be in plain text.  Bottom line, this marginal material is considered a fallout or extrapolation of the information Lucinda provided through sections 2, 3, 5,& 7,  so all credit to her Program and Her Efforts which Saved My Life!  FYI: Pretty much all of section 1.  Introduction/Rationale text, is deserving of italicized format addressing why the Positivity Tools Process, and section 4 matters separately, and combined, are So Important and Effective when Caring for Ourselves. You will find this repeated text, fit for and included in section 4, italicized.”

Per section 1.9:

“Again, the Core material for recovery from A & D, provided in this Book, is from her program.  I have included additional information that I feel can only help you.  The key differences between this Book and Lucinda’s (Midwest Center’s) program, are the audio media sessions provided in Lucinda’s program.  In summation the audio sessions address:

  • That you are not alone in your struggles with A & D based on examples of all those A & D  issues and symptoms one can have as addressed by the members of her panel (customers who went through her program).
  • Testimonials of the Recovery process and its Effectiveness, from the perspective of these same panel members. ( Blog Post Info for Clarity: Well, me being an X-Worse Case Sufferer, having gone thru those 4Xs in Psych wards, & having tried to end it all twice, was worse off than any of her panel members, including Lucinda herself… So being as such, I was able to not only provide such a Testimonial as well, besides, I was able to add some Invaluable Additions along the way, especially regarding Depression aspects in Life… That is one area I could Certainly shore up on, along with the Huge Influence of tying in the Positivity Tools/Skills Process along with Our Faith which amounts to, as I have realized over time dealing with DEEP Depression, & my Son as he was dealing with Bipolar 2, THAT is at least 1/2 the Game in Life…
  • Lucinda’s introduction and final comments for each session.

An Individual’s reading comprehension ability, associated with their struggles with Anxiety and Depression, may be a deciding factor in determining the effectiveness of working this Book vs Lucinda’s (Midwest Center’s) program, although the program has a workbook which needs to be read and worked similarly (?).  Section 1.1, item 1), includes an approach which I believe would support improved reading comprehension  for sufferers, up front, to allow them to initiate the Process via this Book (i.e. to start off with  the Relaxation media,  as instructed in 1.1, from the get go).  

As far as the understanding you are not alone in your struggles, twitter hashtags, e.g. #Anxiety, #Depression, #PTSD, #OCD, #AddictionRecovery,  certainly do support more than enough of that…  As far as testimonials, well, really, only have a few Amazon reviews really to speak of as of now.  All I could do to satisfy this area somewhat, was to address what I personally witnessed at an apartment complex I lived at which I share in section 1. Introduction/Rationale; i.e. 100% of those I witnessed who received the Book, and who Obviously Read  and Worked It (with Book in hand only), the Positive Impacts were Impressive, and apparently, to the extent of even Life Savings in a couple cases!” 

Per sect. 4:

“Lucinda does briefly touch upon her Spirituality and Her Belief in God in her Program, but purposely, having a business and all, does not address it as being a Key Factor for Recovery from Anxiety and Depression for All, as she does for all the other Tools & Skills addressed in her Program.  She does not directly identify the importance of Spirituality, or related, in her written material (workbook), other than including a few program related letters containing a few “Thanks God”, and an indication to “Pray gratefully” in a daily list of affirmations to make for Good days (ref section 6.16).  However, she does mention Spirituality as being a factor in her Life in her audio series.  She indicates she is Spiritual, and believes in God, indicating at times when things are not going well, she would “let go and let God”.   Besides this, she identifies she reads a Spiritual based Book (mentioned below in section 4.1) that helps lift her Spirits at times.

There appears to be (2)  reasons for Lucinda’s brief coverage of Spiritual matters for recovery etc.,  even though she is Very Sincere when she does talk briefly about these matters. For one thing, the Attacking Anxiety and Depression program indirectly conveys that Spirituality and faith and belief in God alone, likely will not help a significant sufferer recover from A & D.  This certainly is something I personally related to in my Life.  Besides this, Religion/Spirituality is known to be controversial in nature and can cause conflict when discussed in the public eye.  Religion/Spirituality is advertised as being one of the three issues to not discuss in the office or business world, to avoid conflict.  Politics and Money are the other two items that fit this bill.  How I think Politics should be handled is addressed in  section 6.7 , item 5).   As far as Money is concerned, this is discussed in section 4.4.

I am convinced that Our Belief system, Spirituality/Mindfulness, Living Life with inner Child Like Exuberance and Enthusiasm, and maintaining a solid sense of the Basics of Life and the “Big Picture” (encompassing God and All His Creations), is at least half the game in One’s Goal to achieve that True Peace of Mind/Tranquility through Life. Otherwise, I strongly feel, there would be a missing link in our efforts to get There. 


Well that pretty much Sums up this matter… Just something I wanted to eventually provide in one way or another except in the Book itself…
