Parents Self-Help Guide for the Youngins… Guide’s “Introduction” on General Overview of Contents.

This is the General Overview of Contents contained within this Guide:

1) Recommendations/Considerations for adjustments to the household/environment  supporting the Child’s/ Early Adolescent’s Healthy Upbringing, & Real Life’s Tidbit/Information flow-down to them when very young, and as they mature.  As the Preface/Summary identifies: “Importance of this Guide’s Household/Environment adjustments & Tid Bit/Info flow-down to the Youngins, as they mature, is to ward off potential MH Issues, or reduce the extent of Issues in their future which Otherwise could occur .”   

Recommended Household/Environment Adjustments, & Tidbit/Information flow-down, briefly addressed below, are expanded on in Guide’s section 1.2:

a) It is Highly Recommended to implement Faith/Faith Formation within the Household as this serves to be the Initiator for development of a Strong Foundation within the Youngins. As the Reference Book clearly addresses, One’s Foundation, Our Faith, & Our #1 Dependence (God in Essence) is the Basis of Our Positivity in light of a Strong Foundation, and conversely, would likely be the Basis of negativity if live Life un-righteously with a  weakened Foundation… Just like a tall building with a weakened Foundation, over time it will likely Topple… In Sum, as written in the Ref. Book, Section 4 is at least half the game in Life if consider Life a Game.  All That supports a Healthy Upbringing & Well-Being… So many personal Experiences… & as I have witnessed in/from Others, made this Perfectly Clear!

In case Faith Formation is not considered feasible within the household, for whatever reasons (?), I do provide Important secondary considerations as follows and as expanded in Guide’s section 1.2:

  • Consider bringing God into the Life of your Child or Youngin indirectly by bringing them out into Nature, & acknowledging & conveying to them the Magnificence of all that was Provided/Created by Our Supreme Being (God). 
  • Consider possible needs for adjustments in character (e.g. maybe Living Life more Righteously, and living Life with more Integrity (?)), as necessary, being the Youngin’s Parents/ Role Models)…  As Parents/Role Models, we are setting examples for the Youngins & they do mimic the Parents early on.  So I Urge you as Parents, to consider how you operate around them and the language you choose to use!… Remember, Actions are worth a thousand words here… Living examples don’t work if Live by, “do what I say, and not as I do” as that Never works! And I totally dislike the F-word and its overuse at whatever age, this day and age… It is Very Ugly in my opinion!

b) If you are a Parent, or a Parent to be, and Struggling/Suffering yourself, now it would be a Very Important time to amend Issues for yourself & for those in your family and around you ! Take it from someone who lived, barely at times, thru 21 years of PAIN while being Dad, before I really got a Handle on all I Learned & wrote of!… So many Beautiful Moments I missed in a sense since I could never Feel or View them as they Actually were…! As a Parent, Please tune into what I am saying here…! Good God, do I know what that road was all about, which almost came to a dead end for me actually…!  Work on Yourselves the Proper/Natural Way per the Ref. Book, which does provide Beautiful Permanent Results! Truly Enjoy the moments bringing up your Child/Children as we only are given one cycle thru which we get to Enjoy!

c) [[Blog post Note only: These Tidbits & Information flow-down are significantly expanded on in section 1.2, items per a) thru o). Besides 1.2 , 3) a) thru o) goes beyond what is provided below in c) here to a certain extent. The following 1.2 paragraph is Important here for you to fully comprehend whats involved with such flow-down]]:

(Ref: Section 1.2, 3) 2nd paragraph): Before providing this content, something important to mention here… As already identified, the included Tidbits/Information flow-down are  what one learns going thru the Ref. Book’s Positivity Tools/Skills Process.  For those who Suffers/Struggles, It Takes a Process to do it Right for Life & Learn these Life Adjustment Needs to amend the way one thinks and operates, based on Proven repetitive training to form new habits.  Also, it is clearly stated in the Ref. Book, what we learn is likewise Important for the average individual (emotionally)… for  Anyone really… for the Youngin with Parents Help & Guidance, & likewise for the Parents as well… Providing the included Life Adjustment Tidbits & Information provided in this section will be Positively Impactful as the Parents educate their Youngins on a consistent & repeated basis, indicative of repetitive training needs necessary to accommodate Important Life Changes for Sufferer.  As I address in the Reference Book, “…as a parent can attest to, in order to teach your children something in particular, you need to repeat an action or what you say, constantly (or consistently/repeatedly… a better way to address this), for it to be sponged into and embedded in that child’s mind, and in their subsequent behavior.”… And in this case, we are talking about Children here as Parents flow down to them the included Tidbits/Info, related information, etc. identified in this section.

c) Highly Recommend Tidbits/Information flow-down to the Youngins in Life including:… “Life is not Fair” often, …Such is Life, but Yet “Life Is Good :)”… always look for the Good in Everything…. Provide “Reality Checks” in Life Preparing the Youngins for when they leave the household, when Life becomes Real! Spoiling the Youngins which has been a general norm in more modern times raising our Youngins, does not bode well when they leave the household & attempt to fend for themselves… Address to them, Always, “Do your Best” within reason depending on their ages, of course, & provide them Positive inputs/affirmations thru their Lives, which is So Good for their Confidence… Inhibit Laziness in behavior!… & Inhibit excessive Gaming… Have them go outside & Play & expend their energy instead, or go on a hike in Nature with them…

Later in Life, as the Youngins mature, here are additional Key Tidbits/messages to flow to the Youngin which, like those mentioned above, are indicative of the Reference Book’s Positivity Tools/Skills Process we Learn if we were to go thru the Recovery Training:  “When TRY in Life, you cannot Fail”!… Remove the word Can’t from your vocabulary other than, using it in the phrase, “There is nothing I Can’t do!” … Instead of using the term “Happy” this or that 24 hrs a day, which is not the norm in Life with the normal ups and downs in Life, use the word “Peaceful” instead, for your daily/Life’s goal for demeanor… Avoid the word “Perfect” unless it pertains to what was Provided to us.  We are only human and to be human is to err & what we do is not “Perfect”! …Convey to them the Importance of being Positive vs. negative in Life!…as Positivity vs. negativity Controls Our Well-Being 100%!… Also, whenever in life, let them know of the power in a smile :), & is like taking a free natural pill to lift one’s Spirits and Well Being… As they get a bit older, wouldn’t hurt to address to them, when you think/feel Excitement vs.  Fear (i.e. if afraid of something), your body will actually have the same body symptoms (& chemistry). It is only a matter of perception, and how one perceives matters…Additionally, Preach the Importance of living life with Integrity… and develop a strong bond of Trust with them! … & one more Important thing to teach the Youngins Teach them to be Respectful of All People, having Good Manners, & have them use those words that used to be commonplace it seems, but is not these days…i.e.  “Thank you”, “Please”, & “Sorry” when appropriate… It is So Pleasant when I hear these Niceties from the Youngins (younger generations), or any generation!

Additionally, that Lady G addressed an excellent hint: Try to avoid saying No this , No that, No to whatever, all the time to your child vs. Educating & talking to the child/Youngin appropriately handling things with a twist as further discussed in section 1.2.

Other matters addressed include:

  • Inhibit overuse of those Cell/Smart Phones, & Social Media!… Also consider computer censorship software although, unfortunately in this world we live in, they will be hearing and seeing things whether we like it or not …
  • Education of the Youngins begins in the Home+, & no reason to stop there…

2) Guidance & Training Needs for the Youngin in case they Struggle/Suffer; this is fairly in-depth but add’l related information is provided in section 1.3.

If the Youngin is Struggling/Suffering, they have reached a point where they need Education/Training to deal with their stresses/negativity which have amounted over time resulting in their Issues; i.e. most likely Anxiety & Depression or possibly related negative thinking based conditions such as OCD, PTSD, Addiction (Recovery), BPD, Bipolar 2 (couldn’t imagine this Process not working to maybe a Great extent for Bipolar 1 Sufferers as well),  … & Yes ADD, ADHD issues as well.  If go down the standard paths thru the MH Professional Community, based on what I have been thru myself,  it all seemed to point to the meds for their solution/approach, which is So Wrong as meds Never get down to the Root Cause of our Issues which is Key and is what this Guide/Ref. Book focuses on.  During those times dealing 4Xs thru psych wards, subsequent out-patient care, and private sector Professionals, I never learned anything about the Proper Natural way of dealing with my PAINS as I finally LEARNED and wrote of… Never! The meds are way overprescribed & never part of the Permanent Solution which is obtained thru Educating & Training as written in this Parent’s Guide & in the Ref. Book… Specifically, getting to the Root Cause of our Issues, involves drilling down to our Individual negative thoughts and sources of our negativity which Self-Personalizes this Process for Anyone/All!  This is what the Positivity Process within the Guide/Ref. Book is All about! … It takes a Cognitive/Behavior modification approach to do it Right for Life indicative of the Intended Approach.

So as the Preface/Summary addresses… Of course if Changes to the Household (Ref: Item 1 above) are made later on in Life, in case the Youngin Struggles or not, that makes the Process much more Difficult…e.g. you have a 14 year old and they are beginning to Struggle/Suffer appreciably. Based on the norm they have been living with during those 14 years, to now having to change & swing that momentous pendulum of Life, likely Opposite to how it has been…Yeah, WOW(!), a Shocker!… Hardly easy to say the least to initiate such Changes! Needless to say, in such a case, Motivation will be Key, such that they will then have the Desire to accept & accommodate Necessary Change including in the way they think and operate via this Guide’s specified Guidance & Training. Simply put, without such Change, there can be No Change!

So Motivating your Youngin who is Struggling or Suffering is Crucial up front to initiate the process of amending matters and instituting Change! They Need to be Inspired such they will have the Desire to move forward and Accept noted Changes… i.e. for one thing, Consideration of Change in their Environment/Household to Help amend matters including, as Highly Recommended, implementing Faith/Faith Formation as addressed above in Item 1), a) and expanded in section 1.2 & 1.2.1.  Additionally addressing the Importance of implementing Mandatory Change within themselves, in the way they Think, Operate, & React ( or Under-react actually) to Everything which is what one Learns via the Guide’s/Ref. Book’s Positivity Process. But Yes, Motivating them hardly will be Easy to say the least! Actually this likely may be the biggest hurdle to get thru for them and the Parents who will be Key in Motivating them… If need assistance to Help Motivate them, contact me (RonnyLG123@gmail.com).  I will attempt to get back as soon as possible to provide a helping hand as needed.

Continuing as partially addressed in the Preface of this Guide… Again, for Youngins Struggling or Suffering who are at a young age, then they of course will need Guidance/Training thru the Process.  And my #1 Suggestion/Request would be for a Parent , or a chosen Mentor who Knows the Youngin Well , to provide for such Guidance! What is Important here for one thing, is No One would be as CARING as a Parent would & should be in such a case to Help their Youngin! And who would TRY Harder than the Parents to Help their Son or Daughter amend matters if they are Struggling/Suffering?… No One!  You think the average Therapist would provide this Support, with such Desire & Compassion?… Not a chance!… Certainly this is what I personally witnessed having gone thru numerous MH Professionals!…  I don’t remember any being Truly Caring(!), which is So Incredibly Important as a Sufferer! Otherwise, you feel they are just punching in & out on a clock, and that you are nothing but, like a table in a highly questionable book, with serious limitations & shortcoming (as I know now), other than pointing in the direction of a med or more… That’s what I witnessed & Felt… 

So Yes, having a Parent or a Mentor who is close to the Youngin would be a Huge Advantage in the Process for this Reason for one thing!  

This is not to mention, what the average Therapist has to offer as far as their  Education base which is Lacking as my objective view summed up to, per all I witnessed thru my MH Professional escapades … Besides, they Never address and ask questions about One’s Faith and Foundation! … How could that not be a Significant Fiber within us which does form one’s Foundation for the makings of a Positive Well-Being if Live Life Righteously…Or on the flip side, causing an Individual to Suffer/Struggle due to a weakened Foundation?!!… So Strange not acknowledging this!! I always thought after learning all have learned, if they were Educated as I have been over the years, then they’d be all lying, misinforming patients of what it Really Takes to turn matters around in their Lives; i.e. from a psychological perspective  to begin with, besides Spiritual matters.  So obviously, the Education system is the culprit; It Has To Be!… And why would they Change things with all the $s being made?!  Enough said…The related Book text in Ref. Yeah, I do Understand as Parents, for the Youngins to even Listen to them at times, well, that can be Difficult, & hence in the case the Parent/Youngin relation is suspect, it will not be easy for the Parents to Work with them!…Well, now would be a Great Idea to shore up that relationship with them as needed…. Anyway, in case you really can’t get thru to your Youngin no matter what, a selected Mentor who Knows and Cares for your Youngin, would be Best to support Guidance needs.

To Prepare for this Guidance role, it is Strongly Suggested for the Parent, or the chosen Mentor,  to Read  thru this Guide twice, to ensure you have not missed anything Important, especially for sections/items, 1. Item 2), 1.2 Item 1), 1.2.1, 1.3, 3, 5, & 6.  Also doing a onetime Read thru the Reference Book is suggested,  for Education/Familiarization & again Preparation … This is in support of  proper Guidance needs & to field questions the Youngins will likely pose; otherwise, this will give you a Good feel where to look into the Book or Guide for an answer or two, or… When you get to the actual process of Guidance of the Youngin, you will be going thru specified sections of the Positivity Process repetitively with the Youngin, when you will be able to more thoroughly understand matters yourself in Process.  But initial Reads for Familiarization is Important!  Similar to what I say about the Ref. Book Total Process regarding the Importance of Process Details, Details within this Parent’s Guide are Likewise Important!

Since the Reference Book is written Clearly in Layman’s terms, & is a complete Step by Step approach with full Instruction set and necessary Details to Self-Help a Sufferer, this Definitely does provide an Excellent Guide to Self-Help a Youngin with Proper Guidance Adjustments thru the steps. Contrary to adults or older adolescents who have the ability to Read/Write and Work the process themselves, which is necessary for a Sufferer to Self-Help themselves, younger aged Youngins who may be struggling would not likely have the Reading & Writing skills necessary to Work the Process on their own as instructed… Hence, Guidance would boil down to the Parent or chosen Mentor to do some or all of the Reading to the Youngin thru the repetitive training process.  When it comes to the Process’s Writing skills/tools needs, the Parent or Mentor would do whatever writing is necessary on behalf of the Youngin, based on what the Youngin is telling the Parent/Mentor, communicating matters.  When the Youngin has the ability to Work matters on their own, they will then be prepared to start doing this on their own… When Youngins are properly Motivated with Desire to learn, they can be sponges of Information provided to them.  As such, they would likely learn quicker than what I had in mind when formulating the adjustments… But, no harm no foul here as excessive Training, if involved, is not a problem…  Later on in Life, they can then Read for themselves to improve/master the Tools & Skills per the Process when they are able to do the Work on their own.  

The extent of Guidance all depends on the mental maturity of the Youngin Struggling/Suffering & on what they can or cannot do on their own… If they seem capable at all, let them Try to do whatever they can… Of course the Process Effectiveness is reduced when comparing an Individual being Guided thru the Process Reading and Writing for the Struggling Youngin vs. an Individual doing it on their own!  Therfore,  it is Important to have the Youngin Try to do what they can on their own if Possible, to Increase the Effectiveness of the Training for them, including the Writing skills addressed in sections 5 & 6 . 

If the Youngins happen to have the capability to do the Reading and Writing on their own, as you will read in section 5 & 6, it is suggested to stick to the Game plan as addressed within this Guide, with the exception, the maximum iteration count for any of the repetitive training of respective subsections or combination of subsections would be reduced to the Ref. Book’s standard.  This applies to section 5 & 6 Training defined in this Guide.  If the Youngin were to just work to what is provided in the Ref. Book vs. what is identified in this Guide, no harm, no foul by any means!

In case Pure Guidance is necessary,  which was considered per the adjustments made, the number of  iterations of the repetitive training steps in some cases for  specified sections defined within this Guide were increased … Essentially these adjustments made are a judgment call and once  the Guidance Process is initiated, based on the discretion of  the Parent or Mentor, as they communicate with the Youngin, that would be a deciding factor to discern what’s Best…  Thus, the Parent or Mentor would have to feel the matter out as best they can if they care to adjust some of the suggested # of repetitive training needs (ONLY).  However, an Important rule of thumb here, is in case of more Training than necessary, that would not pose any problems at all, vs. being Impatient in the Process rushing thru matters too quickly!… As the Reference Book says and as I can attest to, You Don’t Want To Be Impatient, as I paid dearly for that Initial mistake I made running thru the Process in like record time… That is to be AVOIDED!

As for the Writing needs in the Guidance Process, when it comes to “Journaling” Id’d in  sections 5 & 6, such Writing for the Youngin on their behalf while communicating matters would not really be feasible… As a result, in Guide’s section 5, the Ref. Book’s “Journaling” (Training) was redefined, focusing on the basis of the Most Important Writing Skills per the Positivity Process… i.e. the basis of negative to Positive conversions which is defined in Guide’s section 5… The Journaling adjustment & approach is a precursor to those negative to Positive conversions, focusing on the definitions of negative & Positive thoughts clearly defined within the Ref. Book & this Guide. This is the most notable Writing adjustment made… It is Important to note, in No Way Jump forward or around in this Process when Guiding the Youngins here… This is a Step by Step Process which took 16 yrs. for the Lady X-Sufferer & her selected/Trusted Pro(s) to Optimize. You Do Not Want to mess around with the order of Training & Conditioning Needs!  Aside from this Journaling adjustment, the other Writing exercises by the Guide on behalf of the Youngin, is based on communicating matters with them, with this being  the differences as explained in section 5 & 6….  Continuing:

Parents, Please Understand, the Reference Book’s Instruction set is Specific, Detailed & Complete, requiring no adlib needs, nor creative thinking, nor extrapolation of matters in the Process, & no Improvisation at all in Guiding the Youngin via this Book’s Process, with the adjustment made as specified in this Guide.  Like I identified, if any adjustments would be involved, it only has to to do with possible adjustments to the # of the repetitive iterations in the Guidance/Training Process based on how well the Youngin is Sponging in the material, which the Parents or Mentor has the Best bead on

… And Remember, as Parent or Mentor, Just do the Best you can… Give it your Best shot…you can’t go wrong… Besides, you don’t have to be Perfect which is never a human quality anyway… With the stated Preparation, along with the Guide’s adjustments & Reference Book in hand you have everything you need really… If you have any questions whatsoever, prior to or while you are Guiding the Youngin thru this, Please contact me at RonnyLG123@gmail.com & I will promptly get back as quickly as I can to give you a helping hand! This Guidance is geared for those who Struggle or Suffer, but also as I say in the Book, this is also geared for those who are more average emotionally, but who may be Struggling some… In cases where you sense your Youngin is too shy, or showing glimpses of the lack of confidence for their age group, or seems to be a relatively unhappy child, or has difficulty meeting friends or has very few or maybe no friends, or is being Bullied(!)… These early signs could likely be a heads-up & a pre-cursor for future MH Issues.  So nipping it in the bud at an early age, could be Extremely Beneficial!  As such, it is Suggested to Guide them as well thru this Process!

It is a Clear Choice for me, which direction to take in Helping the Youngins deal with their Issues if Suffer/Struggle… Mom or Dad or Mentor with this Guide & Reference Book in hand  & Prepared, or the  Mental Health Professional rout… As I say throughout this Guide, you the Parent(s) or chosen Mentor who is Close or relatively Close to the Youngin, Knowing you are CARING,& that you would Try your Best giving it your Best Shot, you can’t go wrong! You would be a world ahead vs. going down the typical Professional rout from what I Experienced… That blog post (https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2019/09/05) again identifies why I say this based on the Substance of this Guide’s/Ref. Book’s Approach, by comparison, besides these Important qualities I just mentioned!…Need I say more :)? Not even close…!

Realize what the mental health stats and trends are telling us… stats of the matter have been progressively getting worse as the years go on by, besides the additional Impacts to People’s mental health Issues with the onset of COVID-19 rather recently!  MH matters have been at epidemic levels even before that COVID outbreak… Long ago when I was on the last bits of meds I was weaning off for the final time, back in 2010, the stats of the matter were that 70% of all meds prescribed was for Anxiety & Depression Issues or related… That Is Appalling! Couldn’t imagine those stats not being worse in 2020, maybe by a long shot?… What I say about People and dealings with MH in Life, we often do the same thing and expect different results… The term for that definition is, Sorry, but is Insanity… And Yeah, Ditto that in what typically has been going on with the MH Community & Care over the years… as they cater to meds/quick temporary fixes (at best) solutions, aiming at the Symptoms of our Issues, which caters to the general population, rather than dealing with the Root Cause of our Issues which this Guide and Ref. Book is All About!  Yeah, it takes some Work but the End Result… So FREEING & Permanent though when doing It the Right Way!… NOTHING BETTER, No Doubts :)!!  But Can’t blame the MH Community entirely here as their approaches do cater to the general population who do prefer potential quick fixes vs. Reading and Working on Selves the appropriate way, SADLY… If foresight was as strong and accurate as hindsight of what the Positive Impacts would be when Work this, it would be a No Brainer for Everyone!

In section 1.3, I address the Suggested rout to take, if the Parents decide to go with the Mental Health Professionals instead for Therapy…  I also address Issues concerning Medication and True Needs for, in case the Youngin is Significantly Struggling or Suffering just to make sure possible Critical Issues are understood.

Related Guidance Recommendations/Needs which will be expanded, as needed, within section 1.3, are as follows:

a) Again, In the case the Youngin Struggles or Suffers, Motivating the Youngin such that they have the Desire to accommodate as Needed Changes is really the First step. Can’t make anyone Change unless they are Motivated and willing to accept Needed Changes in Household & within, in the way they Think and Operate as it amounts to.

b) Encourage Acceptance of Faith Formation, but the bigger obstacle would be for the Parents in such an endeavor. Otherwise if not feasible to implement within the Family, Important secondary Recommendation/Considerations are provided.

c) Tidbits/Information flow-down identified will be part of the Process which will be Worked as the Youngin is Guided thru the various steps in the Positivity Process of Recovery & Improvement. Giving the Youngin a heads-up and talking to them about may be a Good Idea…

d) Pointers to section 3, 4 (or related Guide sections 1.2, 1.2.1), 5, & 6 sections in Reference Book with necessary adjustments for Guidance & Training of the Youngins; this information is provided within these same respective sections or subsection #s in this Guide.

Should be Lucky Review/Reviewer # 7…(9/6/20)

Actually had a 5 star review written by a “Nancie” dated 3/23/16  which was deleted apparently due to an Amazon account issue as looked into or a similar snafu…It was not deleted by the Young Lady who originally generated a review using  this/her Mom’s account at the time…  I met this Young Lady while living at my previous residence in an apartment complex, who likely provided the 3/23/16 review after doing a one time read without really digging deeper into it… Never did capture that as a copy paste somewhere….Since then, it’s been like 4 1/2 years later and this Young Lady is a Great Mom now, and doing Very GOOD!  Well, as Life is, she evidently dug in deeper into the Book more, utilizing the Tools/Skills to fend off negativity in Life realizing how LIFE can be and get, especially during these COVID times… Below is her review, which strangely, after several attempts and go backs between her and Amazon, & based on strange & continued tweaks and stipulations fed back on whether or not Reviewer reviews would be acceptable or not, Amazon refused to show on the Book site…   Yeah kinda Ridiculous… No valid reason why really…  never Clear why it was rejected!…  Sometimes it  seems they are just trying to keep a Great Book down!… A Book which is Likely the Most Important Read in a Lifetime for SO MANY, I Know it to be… Besides, Amazon’s AI for determining Overall rating is another is highly Questionable!… For some reason they have weighed that 1 star Review, where its Validity is beyond Questionable, much higher than other reviews I have received! In fact for about 1 1/2 years since that review cropped up, even with (4) 5 star reviews already in place, the Overall rating per AI varied between 2.5 – 3 out of 5… Ridiculous… Do the math… If you do a simple average which is the only legitimate way to determine overall rating minus applied biases, that amounts to 4.2 stars, & Not 2.5 – 3 stars… Need I say more  :)…  By the way, (2) comments were written against the 1 starer in the meantime… One from me which I had to considering things observed, and one from the 3/3/20 Reviewer, who just so happens to have a English Major as a College grad :)…. Whatever worth, thought I would share with you all, the (2) closest to Professional reviews I ever received on this Book… As I wrote about in a previous Blog post…

“Regarding other reviews: Had a Professional service contact me several times to share majority of costs … sounding pretty legit…very persistent about matters since publishing of my 3rd Edition  (4/7/16)… as they stated they “did a “Panel review” (# of people?) who gave the Book a “Very High” 8.92 out of 10…”  Just had a different service contact me 9/3/16 who did a review as well, “giving the Book, a 8.6 out of 10 … They stated: ‘‘This is what sets the author apart from all other writers. Author’s unique way of stringing words together , formulating ideas, and relating scenes or images to the reader. In any piece of writing, the voice should be consistent and identifiable which the author has done a very good job.”… What’s Real Cool though, is that both of those reviews are based on Reading the Book Only!  Please Understand,  the True Power in this Book is Only Felt/Understood when One Works It! That would push those numbers way up to Another Level, No Doubts... And Potentially to the point of Saving Lives which it can and Has!!…. NOTES: This Blog Post addresses matters pertinent to both True Self-Help Books provided on Home site.  It is Important to Read Notes A), B), & C) below, regarding the Unavailability of the All Important “Intended Relaxation media” provided as a YouTube link in the “Rise and Shine Anxiety & Depression & Life Management Tools” Book per section 5.3.1 & Pertinent information … This provides Options in your decision to either obtain the “Intended Relaxation media” which is Highly Recommended if a Sufferer to avoid confusion, or to select an alternate Relaxation media but with considerations of Key Adjustments identified below… or tap into explanations of the Breathing and Muscle Tension Relaxation control to possibly fulfill doing it on one’s own considering the extent of definition provided.

A)  Need to say up front, it would be Foolish of me to not identify for Clarity on matters, & to Eliminate Confusion as a Sufferer, if not familiar with Relaxation media use, it is Highly Recommended to obtain Book’s intended Relaxation session.  Otherwise, what provided, might have sufficient detail necessary to accommodate developing one’s personalized approach from the get go.  You can find the Intended Relaxation media by doing a Search for the following or going to this link provided: Attacking Anxiety & Depression: Bonus CD Relaxation onStressCenter.com” Only the CD format is available for purchase.   Sorry, but YouTube availability is outside my control, & I know, $25 (CD) is more expensive than the Priceless Education Book Is, in Paperback or E-book forms. But It’s Importance cannot be understated!!!... If you desire a digital conversion to .mp4 digital format or other that is readily available for like $1; that is what I saw when looked into it & googled it… The Process kicks off in 5.2 for Proper Conditioning Needs to listen to this media up to 3Xs a day from the get go, while Learning the Key Basics to allow developing One’s Personal approach which all will want to do.  So it is Real Important to start off on the Right foot and avoid any Confusion here! An alternate I thought recommending is found on YouTubeLink: (youtube.com/watch?v=I-myJWxybxg), as generated by same Lady (Lucinda),who formulated the Intended Media (15 minute session).  Unfortunately it is somewhat lacking & 7 minutes longer.  Specifically, it lacks some Key Details including Proper Breathing & Muscle Tension/Relaxation techniques, and Desired/Empowering Self-Talk/Self-Thought in process during the routine which parallels what Learn in the Book… In 5.3.1 in Book, I do include words below “Action/Training item 3), under “Controlling Breathing section” and on, which IDs these Important Breathing & Muscle Tension/Relaxation Details & Self-Talk/Self-Thought Recommendations. Aside from this, the sound quality could be better per this alternate Relaxation media.  Anyway, needless to say, it is your prerogative which way to go, and if you use alternative media, I Highly Recommend/Suggest to acknowledge Intended Relaxation media/session Details addressed within this Blog post. 

B) If you have never cycled thru Relaxation/Meditation Media or Routine Please note/Read this paragraph written in section 5.3.1 of the Book:

“In Lucinda’s Attacking Anxiety and Depression program, she explains certain things about the relaxation sessions, and how it helps you.  “You may have to get used to instructive relaxation.  Give yourself time to get comfortable with it.  By practicing you relaxation exercise in thoughtful, meditative repetition, you will condition your mind and body to respond appropriately to your inner voice.”  It may take some time to get used to using and being comfortable incorporating these relaxation tools and techniques but that is “perfectly normal”.  So stick with them because it is extremely important in your strides to get better.  It “will help you to become comfortable with relaxing, both mentally and physically.  Many of us with anxiety either forgot or never learned how to truly step in to the present moment and relax.  The relaxation media was designed to help and create and learn to access that peaceful, loving environment within yourself.””

C) Below are some clarifications and additional information of what provided in the Book “Rise and Shine Anxiety & Depression & Life Management Tools”, addressing Key Details per the Intended Breathing & Muscle Tension/Relaxation media identified in section 5.3.1 of this Book, under Actions/Training, item 3).   Please understand, the intent of those words were to provide Individuals working the Process (Conditioning themselves),  guidance considerations as they  develop their own Breathing and Muscle Tension/Relaxation routine along with personalized Positivity Self-Talk/Thoughts,  to make it most fitting to the Individual.  This is something we all desire to do, using the Highly Recommended Intended Relaxation media from the get go to start off with, setting the precedence to kick off the Positivity Process on the Right foot with Key/Important Details… Purchase of the Intended Relaxation media is again Highly Recommended if Struggle/Suffer, to eliminate any/all Confusion during the Conditioning part of the Process, which is the 1st Step one does per the Positivity Process.

Controlling Breathing & Breathing Initial Exercise :

  • First of all make sure you learn how to Breath Properly and Most Effectively; here is what I Learned which is considered Optimum:  Inhale through the nose for a count of 2 (1001, 1002 slowly)… then Exhale through the mouth for a count of 4 (1001, 1002, 1003, 1004 slowly).  When Inhaling, make sure your chest does not move, but the Breathing is only coming from the abdomen, which is the area just below the rib cage… To Verify this, place your hand on you chest making sure your chest does not move when Inhaling… Then place your hand on your stomach area and verify the stomach area raises/inflates when Inhaling.  This may take a little practice to get you breathing properly. Just remember to practice so that you can naturally control and slow down your breathing.
    • Note that if out and about  if feeling a bit antsy/anxious do the above noted Controlled breathing about  3 to 4 times successively, for about a minute…  Keep in mind the process of counting can be very  therapeutic, since it often can help remove our thoughts from our negative thinking ways at the time which gets us stressed.  Otherwise, or during subsequent Breathing exercises, when Inhale, say/think, I am Safe… I am Comfortable… (vs. thinking, 1001…1002).  Subsequently, when Exhaling and thereafter , think/say  Positive things to yourself while continuing to breath properly naturally (ya learn to do that…).  Slow down your actions in the way you walk & talk in process... Below you will see  suggested Positive Self-Talk/Thoughts as addressed in section 5.3.1 indicative of  how to Properly work a Complete Breathing & Muscle Tension/Relaxation Session on your own…

Breathing & Muscle Tension/Relaxation Session:

Per the Suggested Complete Breathing & Muscle Tension/Relaxation Session, which parallels the Intended Relaxation media identified in the Book, doing it while listening to the media or doing it yourself on your own, go to an area which  is quiet… Get comfortable and lay on your back with legs slightly elevated … Doing this when waking up in the morning,  is most desirable in my opinion, & is when I do my morning Calibration Session, to kick off the day on the Right Foot…. FYI… By Process/Book Standards, as written, if you are one who Suffers, it is Highly Suggested  to work your Relaxation Sessions up to (3) times a day initially during the Process to Improve…

  • Initiate the process doing the above noted (per item 1.) Breathing exercise 3 to 4 times… FYI: Initially when learn this, during the 3 to 4 times Breathing you do, counting in the process is suggested if a rookie to it all… Thereafter though, this can be by-passed when already familiar with it all, and the Controlled Breathing is a natural way & response which it becomes… Then, in place of the counting, that is when to include Positivity Self-Talk/Thoughts in process as addressed by the next bullet.
  • Anyway, during the last of that 3 or 4 times thru above noted Breathing Exercise, and during subsequent and continued relaxed breathing,  when Inhale, say/think to yourself, “I am Safe… I am Comfortable”… & then when Exhale, start Saying/Thinking to yourself maybe some or all of the following suggested Positivity statements which parallels the Intended Relaxation media, & the Book’s Positivity Process education… Besides, this  addresses others I personally say to myself.  And of course, apply your own if you wish as you become more familiar with the routine…: …. “I am calm, I am in control of my emotions… slow down and smile… no hurry, no rush, and no emergency in my thoughts and actions (… slow down in the way I walk & talk)… Hey (your name) I am peaceful, I am relaxed, I am serene, I am under reactive & I under-react to everything… I am less affected, more effective…  I am my safe haven safe place; I live and speak from my heart…  I love myself unconditionally, I love Life… I  feel good about myself and about the world around…  I radiate Positive energy and good feelings… I love myself unconditionally, I respect myself, I believe in myself, I have confidence in myself…  I forgive myself… I am humble, appropriate in the eyes of God (and Jesus if Christian)… I manage myself through love, respect, belief, confidence in myself, forgiveness, and humility…  I’m worthy of love, respect, belief, confidence in myself, and forgiveness.” 
    • FYI:  Some of these words provided are included in Ref. Book’s sections 5.2 & 5.3.2, under “Actions” which involves the Conditioning process… We can gyrate thru whatever Self-Talk/Self-Thoughts we desire during our Relaxation/Calibration sessions… I personally intermix Prayer, along with the included Relaxation Sessions, and often combine Positivity Statements with Prayer Statements which is addressed in section 4.4 of the Ref. Book, or in section 1.2.1 of the recently published “Rise and Shine Parent’s Self-Help Guide for the Youngins”… Very Powerful/Impactful statements we can say to Selves!  Specifically, what I do during my Personalized Breathing/Muscle Tension/Relaxation approach, which I Merge into my Now Personalized Typical Morning Meditation/Calibration routine is identified in Blog post: https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2021/02/12
  • Then work the Muscle tension and relaxation exercise as follows:  After the breathing process along with your desired Self-Talk, continue to breathe slowly and methodically… By tensing up and then relaxing the different segments of your body as identified below,  this will relax your muscles throughout your body.   While working each body segment as noted,  do controlled breathing along the way and when Inhale just before doing each or some of these body parts routines (whatever is most comfortable…),  say/think... “I am Safe… I am Comfortable…”, and of course thereafter Exhale thru the mouth always as addressed above, while tensing up those body parts from toes  to Head for the count of 2 & continue breathing as desired what brings comfort…

— Start with Toes/Feet/ankles:  Curl your toes down stressing your feet (arches)  for about a count of 2 (1001, 1002)…  then Pull toes up toward your head with legs straight, tensing your feet and ankles for about a count of 2 (1001, 1002)… then release the tension and then think/say “Release of tension in my ankles and feet“, followed by  I have a Positive warm and soothing energy flowing through my toes, feet and ankles while flexing and moving your toes, feet and ankles.

— Move up to your Lower legs: Tense up lower legs up through your knees for about a count of 2 (1001, 1002)… then think/say “Pressure tension up through my knees”…  then release the tension and then think/say “Relax –release of pressure in my lower legs and up through my knees” .

— Move up to your Upper legs:  Tense up your Upper legs up through to your buttocks and to lower back for about a count of 2 (1001, 1002) …  then think/say “Pressure tension up thru to my lower spine” … then release the tension and think/say “Relax– release of pressure in my upper legs, up thru to my lower spine”.

— Move up to your upper torso:   Tense up your body from your buttocks, through lower spine,  through stomach and abdomen, up your spine to your upper torso/upper back for about a count of 2 (1001, 1002), with your arms positioned against you chest, & R and L hands held together with fingers intertwined, then say/think “Pressure tension up thru my lower spine to my upper back”… then release the tension and think/say “Relax –release of tension up thru my upper back“.

— Move to your hands:  Tense up your hands extending and spreading your fingers for that count of 2 (ditto above), then Tense your hands making fists for a count of 2 (1001, 1002), and then say/think “Pressure tension in my fingers and hands“… then release the tension in your hands saying/thinking: “Relax — I have a Positive warm and soothing energy flowing through my wrists, fingers and hands” while flexing your finger, hands, and wrists. (FYIPersonally I say at this time… I so Believe and Trust in you God/Jesus (as a Christian), from the bottom of my heart, through every fiber in my whole being, foremost and wholeheartedly… Totally aligning myself with Your Priciples, God & Jesus :)…then I proceed :)

— Move up to your arms:  With your arms straight alongside you, tense up your  arms for that count of 2 (1001, 1002), saying/thinking, “Pressure tension up through my arms“… then release the tension in your arms saying/thinking, “Relax –release of pressure in my arms” while shaking your arms loosely. 

— Move up to your upper back/shoulder:  Bring arms up against your chest with hands clenched and arms bent up and positioned touching /close to your shoulders, and tense up your upper back and arms, hands, shoulders pulling your shoulders back for that count of 2 (1001, 1002), and then say/think, “Pressure tension up through my shoulders“… then release the tension and then say/think: “Relax –release of pressure in my upper back, my upper arms and up through my shoulders“. 

— Move up to the neck area: NOTE: This is a 4 step neck motion tension/relaxation exercise vs. what is provided in the Intended Relaxation media… Avoid rotating your head/neck clockwise or counterclockwise thru a full circle which may be interpreted from what said in the media… from what I have learned, this is not good for your neck)… Besides, I feel this is a much more effective approach than what addressed in the media for the neck area!  

Pull your head back from neutral position and tense up neck for a count of 2 (1001, 1002), then saying/thinking, “Pressure and tension in my neck”… then release the pressure and then say/think, “Relax –release of pressure through my neck and shoulders” . 

Pull your head forward and tense up neck for that count of 2 (1001, 1002),  then say/think,Pressure tension in my neck”… then release the pressure and then say/think “Relax –release of pressure through my neck” .

Neutralize head/neck… then:

Move head toward one shoulder while pulling shoulder up toward head, and tense up for that count of 2 (1001, 1002), then say/think, “Pressure tension in my neck and shoulder”… then release the pressure and then say/think, “Relax –release of pressure in my neck and shoulder”.

— Move head toward other shoulder while pulling shoulder up toward head, and tense up for that count of 2 (1001, 1002),  then say/think, “Pressure tension in my neck and shoulder”… then release the pressure and then say/think, “Relax –release of pressure in my neck and shoulder

— Move up to the jaw area:  With mouth slightly opened/agate tense up and hold maintaining pressure in your upper and lower jaw clenching your face for that count of 2 (1001, 1002), then say/think “Pressure tension in my face/jaw up to the top of my head”… then release pressure saying/thinking “Relax, I have a Positive warm soothing energy flowing through my whole body, through my neck, and into my jaw”.When you do this jaw area tension/relaxation properly, don’t worry about looking good in the process… & you won’t if you do it Right :)!

I follow this up with additional Positive Self Talk/Self Thoughts: “Clear my mind of all thoughts… Let my thoughts drift in and out… My body is immersed in a Positive Warm, Soothing, Soft and Glowing Light… I imagine reaching up and turning on that Glowing Light… & then reaching up Imagining that Light warming my hands … & say, Sunshine, Breezes, Beauty Everywhere & (what I also say… The God of Light :)…)  

As far as a mental journey indicative of what is included in the Intended media, which follows the Breathing & Muscle Tension/Relaxation exercise, incorporate a Mindful mental journey of your own, as/if desired,  motoring or flying  thru on your own as I often do :)…  Use what Lucinda has in her media as a basis for your own personalized journey if you ever heat it.  As I say in the Book…  “I at times, mentally hand glide and stop at various places at my favorite Vacation Spot/Lake, and occasionally throw in another Niagara Falls as part of the Lake and my journey :)”…. No Details of my Journey here but I previously provided the whole section 4.2 “Mindfulness” (& 4.3…) in the Book, per Blog Post https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2019/03/02… This will give you an Idea of what my Mindful Journey is all about :).

Then Finalizing the Relaxation Session, I provide additional Self-Talk/Thoughts… I Appreciate Life, I Love Life, I am So Glad to be Alive… Picture myself Living in the Present Moment, make the Most of my Moments, & Enjoy the Special Moments with Child-Like Exuberance and Enthusiasm, Through You God & Jesus, because of You God & Jesus, & Have FAITH!… , Thinking Positive thoughts Always, doing things I Like to do, & doing the Best I can :)… I’m Full Of Life, I Love Life, I am So Glad to be Alive….  I Feel Fulfilled & Content with Peace of Mind & a Calm Body…… LIFE IS GOOD :)!

PREFACE/SUMMARY

When I heard of a 12 yr old, still a Child, Struggling in Life… Someone I knew of & knew of this Older Child’s predicament, my wheels started turning… Bottom line, I was just Yearning to reach out and Help!… It is just in my Blood, Who I am, & Who I have become… 

My Son Knowing my rather Extreme Levels of Drive and Passion per the Reference Book I wrote, “Rise and Shine Anxiety & Depression & Life Management Tools”, indicated, I would definitely write another Book sometime in the future…  What I said to that, I told him in No Way could I put 10% of this same Drive and Passion in anything else, so that won’t be happening…! However, when I heard of this Youngin in Need coupled with Desires to Reach out and Help, I thought maybe I can Really do this!… Well, I Know it is entirely up to the Father & Close Relative in this case, to be receptive to any suggested Help, but, nonetheless, I jumped to the task thinking, how I could Best Help this Child or any Child or Youngin? 

So Actually, on 5/14/20 eve, before going to bed, I asked, Yep :), God,… do I have what it Takes to write a Parent’s Guide I was thinking of then to formulate to Truly Help the Young, from young Children thru Adolescence up thru to early to mid-Teens, prior to when one would then have the Mental Maturity & Ability to Pick up the Book I wrote, & Read & Work on themselves to resolve their Issues on their own? Well, I woke up the next day 5/15/20, & realized then, I already Knew what I had to Know to do what I was aiming to do :)… A Resounding Absolutely was the Answer :)… 

Well, when it comes to the Necessary Reading/Work, or Related Guidance in her case, all the Answers are Clearly laid out in the Book I wrote, Unquestionably! The only difference is the need for Guidance for the Youngins, vs. them being able to Read/Educate & Work on themselves.  So with the Book’s material being the Most Difficult part of this endeavor which is COMPLETE, in the Book’s “Final Edition” form,  I Know I could do this! This is Especially True with my Extreme level of Passion & Drive which has been just Growing thru the years, & Knowing what I wrote, is All We Can Do As humans, Naturally, providing Permanent results… So Yeah, with this Reference Book already Done, what a Great way to begin this endeavor!!! 

So, on the early morning of 5/15/20 when I Knew what to do, I woke up and after doing my Morning Meditation/Calibration/ Prayer, I wrote out a rather elaborate plan in an email, and sent it to the family…& that actually provided the Framework for this “Parents Guide” I’m putting together… As far as the receptiveness of the Family, again, it is entirely up to them if they want to consider this Way & Answer I Know it to be, & as I Know this Guide will be! 

Being Convincing in a world where there is so much confusion, different, and convoluted information in the Mental Health world, hard for anyone to believe whatever is provided, even though regarding the Reference Book, when you take a step back and look at the Total Picture, it is So Logically/Factually based written in Layman’s terms making it relatively easy to comprehend/understand & realize… this makes Complete sense, so how could this not work?! Well, that is exactly what I thought when I threw all my eggs in one basket when was at my ropes end & purchased a, my Angel’s (Well Deserved), Self-Help Program I bought for about $400, back in 2002… a 1999 program that Saved my Life at age 46… & not a close 2nd per what I had come across by that time or thereafter, besides my many dealings with a gauntlet of MH Professionals I’ve gone thru… Based on that hopeless journey, I learned absolutely nothing about how to deal with my Worse Case Issues with Anxiety, Depression, OCD for 25 years Naturally/Permanently vs. what I learned via this Self-Help Program coupled with the KEY Additions made (including sect. 4!), culminating in Reference Book’s “Final Cut” which   I will be pointing to continuously for the Go Tos to Help the Youngins who are Struggling/Suffering…  And I Certainly Know this Process Flat Out Works as I have witnessed for myself, my Son, & thereafter for those who Suffered Significantly/Terribly as well, with Book in hand only… Again, Saved my Life, likely my Son’s & Yes for those I have witnessed with Book in hand, likely in a few cases!… To give you an idea of the Book’s Substance & Effectiveness I KNOW of, & as witnessed with Book in Hand, this Blog Post addresses such matters Quite Well: https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2020/03/10.

As for the very young and as they mature, this Guide focuses on matters of preparation and adjustments of the Child’s/ Youngin’s Environment/Household to support a Positive Upbringing, to allow them to start off in Life on the right foot.  Importance of Guide’s Household/Environment adjustments & Tidbit/Info flow-down to the Youngins, as mature, is to ward off potential MH Issues, or reduce the extent of Issues in their future which Otherwise could occur.  

So Yes, it would be Best prior to a young child’s development, for the Parents in the making, or Parents to be, to consider Household/Child’s Environment Adjustments… This is again, besides Tidbit/info flow-down to them as they age and mature which would be quite beneficial, in planting those early seeds of proper thoughts in the way Real Life Is. This will Certainly prepare the Child/Youngin, for Real Life circumstances, and for the future when Stresses do amount.  Besides, while teaching the Youngins this flow down of Tidbits/information, this could be very helpful for the Parents as well, or for Anyone really…  And Yeah, this does include (Highly) Recommended/Considerations to implement Faith/Faith Formation within the Household… But before being turned off by this consideration in likely lots of cases & families out there, Please Understand Why I say this as clearly addressed in this Parent’s Guide, as to Its Importance, & realize, as identified in 1.2.1, implementing this would not take much Effort!… Just a matter of Desire & Understanding the Huge Positive Impacts this would have on the Youngins or Anyone!

Of course if Changes to the Household are made later on in Life, that makes the Process much more Difficult…e.g. you have a 14 year old and they are beginning to Struggle/Suffer appreciably. Based on the norm they have been living with during those 14 years, to now having to change & swing that momentous pendulum of Life, likely Opposite to how it has been…Yeah, WOW(!), a Shocker!… Hardly easy to say the least to initiate such Changes! Needless to say, in such a case, Motivation will be Key, such that they will then have the Desire to accept & accommodate Necessary Change including in the way they think and operate via this Guide’s specified Guidance & Training. Simply put, without such Change, there can be No Change!

As far as this Guide’s Approach, in case your Youngin is Struggling/Suffering, since the Reference Book has a Complete Instruction set with necessary Details, including Step by Step Conditioning needs etc., per the included Self-Personalized Positivity Tools/Skills Self-Help Process, geared for Sufferers, or Anyone really, this Book likewise provides an Ideal Guide for Guiding the Youngins to Self-Help them! And the Reference Book covers Issues not only for Anxiety & Depression but all negatively based thinking conditions… i.e. OCD, PTSD, Addiction Recovery, ADD, ADHD, BPD, and for Bipolar 2 (at least) as witnessed for Son!…  As  for Bipolar Type 1 Sufferers, considering this is all we can do for Ourselves, Naturally, then couldn’t imagine this not Helping to a great extent! Or it is also suggested to provide for such Guidance in case there are other signs of Struggling going on… i.e. …the Youngin being overly shy as mature… showing low confidence levels… difficulty making friends, or maybe even being Bullied!

Again, if a Youngin is Struggling or Suffering at a young age, chronologically/ mentally, then they of course will need Guidance/Training thru the Process.  And my #1 Suggestion/Request would be for a Parent , or a chosen Mentor who Knows the Youngin Well , to provide for such Guidance! What is Important here for one thing, is No One would be as CARING as a Parent would & should be in such a case to Help their Youngin! And who would TRY Harder than the Parents to Help their Son or Daughter amend matters if they are Struggling/Suffering?… No One!  You think the average Therapist would provide this Support, with such Desire & Compassion?… Not a chance!… Certainly this is what I personally witnessed having gone thru numerous MH Professionals!…  I don’t remember any being Truly Caring(!), which is So Incredibly Important as a Sufferer! Otherwise, you feel they are just punching in & out on a clock, and that you are nothing but, like a table in a highly questionable book, with serious limitations & shortcoming (as I know now), other than pointing in the direction of a med or more… That’s what I witnessed & Felt… 

To Prepare for this Guidance role, it is Strongly Suggested for a Parent, or the chosen Mentor,  to Read  thru this Guide twice, to ensure you have not missed anything Important, especially for sections/items, 1. Item 2), 1.2 Item 1), 1.2.1, 1.3, 3, 5, & 6.  Also doing a onetime Read thru the Reference Book is suggested,  for Education/Familiarization & again Preparation … This is in support of  proper Guidance needs & to field questions the Youngins will likely pose; otherwise, this will give you a Good feel where to look into the Book or Guide for an answer or  two, or… When you get to the actual process of Guidance of the Youngin, you will be going thru specified sections of the Positivity Process repetitively with the Youngin, when you will be able to more thoroughly understand matters yourself in Process.  

Please Understand Parents/Mentor, the Reference Book’s Instruction set is Specific & Detailed  with no Improvisation necessary at all in Guiding the Youngin via this Book’s Process along with any adjustment needs Clearly specified in this Guide.… And Remember, Just do the Best you can… Give it your Best shot…you can’t go wrong… Besides, you don’t have to be Perfect which is never a human quality anyway… If you have any questions whatsoever, Please contact me at RonnyLG123@gmail.com & I will promptly get back as quickly as I can… With the stated Preparation, along with the Guide’s adjustments & Reference Book in hand, you have everything you need to Help your Youngin!. 

Of course this Guide’s Approach, is in lieu of contacting the Mental Health Community to Help the Youngin… Hmmm!  Again, this is a path which I am all Too Familiar with… As already addressed, & as you would read in the Reference Book. I really didn’t Learn anything about the Proper way of Dealing with my Life’s Issues the Natural/Permanent Way which the Book’s Process Is All About!  Yeah, based on my Dealings with the Mental Health Community, taking a step back & per an Objective view of all what went on, … It can be summed up as “Numbing”… I wrote a Blog post that captures the Book’s words addressing this Somber matter & Experiences: https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2019/09/05. 

Of course for me, it is a Clear Choice of which direction to take… Mom or Dad or Mentor with this Guide & Reference Book in hand, & Prepared, or the  Mental Health Professional rout… As I say throughout this Guide, you the Parent(s) or chosen Mentor who is Close or relatively Close to the Youngin, Knowing you are CARING, that you would Try your Best giving it your Best Shot, you can’t go wrong! You would be a world ahead vs. going down the typical Professional rout from what I Experienced… That blog post in last paragraph identifies why I say this based on the Substance of this Guide’s/Ref. Book’s Approach, by comparison, besides these Important qualities I just mentioned!…Need I say more :)?

But within the Guide, I do address if you desire to go the Professional way, then definitely go in the direction of those who specialize in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and who are against the use of meds unless Necessary, which I address. 

Couple more things I ought to bring up here… Similar to a Preface paragraph in the Reference Book: 

As it turned out, I did get a 1 star review for reasons of Capitalization in parts of the Book :)… You may want to read that Review & the “2 Comments” (one from me which I had to, & one from 3/3/20 Reviewer) written on that; “ADD’L NOTES” at the very bottom of Amazon.com site for the Book, addresses how to get to those Comments. 

I wrote this for Content Integrity, 100%… This was not intended to be a literary masterpiece :)!  If you find any grammar errors, or…, all that I can say is , Sorry, but I am just human, and to be human is to err…

Preferably, in parallel, while Working sections 5 & 6, A) begin doing daily reads of the day’s Devotional Read (by date… Day of Month/Month)  per the Sarah Young Book; each one includes approx. 3 scriptures in one short read, often with New & Old Testament mix…  & B) Start reading a Chapter a Day from the New Testament (Bible), starting at Matthew 1 (First section in the New Testament)… Beyond what Book says,  Recommend to Do these Daily Spiritual/Faith Formation Reads prior to performing any of your daily tasks…  I find doing this to be Most Effective in kicking off  the Day beyond Daily Calibrations/Positive Self-Talk you will be LEARNING & Personalizing in Process for yourselves. Remember, it is not just a matter of reading words, but it is a Matter Of Being Receptive and Opening up Our Hearts to God, while reading what you read in the Bible or Sarah Young Book… & while Praying, which is a Great Thing to do during quiescent times/moments, or just when out and about taking a walk etc…

Consideration for LGBTQ Community as ID’d by an X-member I heard on a radio station…

First of all ….  the tweet which I include as a tweet with comment in the Pinned tweet on my twitter site @RonnyLG123, Is:

This pretty much sums up what this TRUE Self-Help Book I wrote is all about, addressing the Importance of Combining Both aspects of this Book together & Why they Go Hand in Hand… As I GREW & Experienced More after generating the Original Book published 6/19/14, besides going thru additional down times , it became Clear, Our Faith/Our Foundation/& Focus on Our #1 Dependence (God), as written, is I BELIEVE to be, at least half the Game in Life if you consider Life a game… This Especially becomes Clear, when matters fall outside our Control; i.e. Our thoughts and actions which we can LEARN to Control Real Well per the Book’s Positivity Tools/Skills Process.  Considering what is going on now with COVID-19 Issues, the Importance of this aspect of the Book is exemplified! When I am out and about which I continue to do during hikes etc., I’ve been seeing a Significant degree of  disparity between people …  those who have that look of fear/panic vs., those who have that look of Calm, during these COVID-19 times. I usually chalk up a conversation with those that have that Calm demeanor going on based on curiosity, and bottom line, the Believers are the Calm…

I Pray every day and in my daily Prayers, I do Pray for the LGBTQ community, since I always felt they must be living in a rather dark world,  living Lives which goes against the grain of what the Bible says… Please understand as a Christian, I am very much in tune with my 2nd Commandment: Love my Neighbor as Myself. Besides, I’ve LEARNED to Respect the Differences amongst All… During the Times and Where I grew up in upstate N.Y., I really did not even realize there was a LGBTQ community or an individual member in existence… & “Gay” back in the day just meant simply Happy, & that’s all.

Recently I was switching stations on the radio, and came across a Christian radio station and this is what I heard:  An X member of the LGBTQ Community was talking to the host… A young man who was previously gay who had changed his ways in order to essentially Save his Life, and to allow him to Live Life with Tranquility & Peace … He was saying, the LGBTQ world is in Truth a very dark world in the lives and ways of most… His sole purpose for being on the radio station that day, was to Suggest to anyone who may be caught up in that web of life, to strongly consider, Opening up to God (& Jesus)… His more detailed suggestion was to… I wish I could quote his exact words of what he said but essentially he said… Read John… the Bible/Gospel of John, and while doing that, Open Up Your Hearts/Minds thinking & Praying saying … God if you are Real and out there, PLEASE show me the way and allow my Heart to Open Up to You…  He said by doing That, he began to have revelations in thought, which he said was the Beginning of what Completely Turned His Life Around… The Beginning of a New Life & Now He Lives with Tranquility and is at Peace, outside of that Dark world…

FYI, No Matter Who I am talking to regarding the Issue of Faith Formation, just like I told my Son when he was Suffering with Bipolar Type 2, “Medication for Life” the Pros said which was NONSENSE… I told him, like I would say to you or anyone, get a Bible, & Read 1 Chapter a Day from Matthew & On (New Testament), & get ahold of a Daily Devotional… I recommend either “Jesus Calling” or “Jesus Always”, & in Parallel read the daily devotional for the given day… In my Son’s case within a Month He Catapulted, in the Most Positive Way… I Swear, Once you TRY to allow your Faith to Grow, That Will Have a Positive if not Huge influence…

Thought it was Important to address this considering these Difficult times for All, & Please don’t take Offense…

Truth Be Told (goes without saying…)– IDs Book/Book’s Process Substance & Effectiveness Known & Witnessed with Book in hand…It All Sums Up :)! … Updated 11/23.

So why I often say, this Book is Likely the Most Important Education in a Lifetime for So Many … but of course, can’t compete against The BOOK which is the subject of Book’s section 4  :)!…  & Why I have gone thru well over 33,750 Book cards as of 11/23, including during those COVID times when ventured out to talk to people minus Book cards in hand, since the Original Book was published (6/19/14), & why Drive/Passion continues to Grow, while personal Connections are just getting Stronger & Stronger?!.. 

Well, I always thought this Book could have a Huge Impact on So Many who Suffer, as I Suffered … but now, so far removed from all that Pain, because of what written… or actually for Most Anyone really, whether Suffer or not, Knowing this Book Covers All we can do Naturally for Ourselves as humans for Life Optimization! But what I’ve witnessed for Sufferers I’ve come across who are Willing to Read & Work on themselves, with Book in Hand Only with Diligence,  were Tremendous Life Changing/Savings Impacts, Solidifying all thoughts concerning the Book’s Substance and Effectiveness, Completely Fueling my Fire!! In Essence, this Book covers All Life’s Issues which may arise, whether matters fall within our control (i.e. our own Thoughts and Actions), or outside our control… It supports Matters involving Our Spiritual, Mental/Emotional, & Physical Well-Being…

Remember, The TRUTH always rises to the surface, and if I were not speaking the Truth thru over 9yrs  since that Original publication, I would have petered out a Long time ago!  Besides, in No Way could I ever tell the untruth, with section 4 being about Our Faith, Our Foundation, & Our #1 Dependence :), GOD!… As I say in the opening paragraph in the Book’s “Preface” …”I (Author Ron) am one of those who is pretty much “Honest to a Fault” as they say, especially by today’s standards.  And hope all understand there is No Fault in Honesty… When you understand that Honesty is not only the Best Policy but the Only Policy, you realize there is absolutely nothing to hide…”

Do I ever come across anyone in my escapades, who is as Passionate, Driven, Excited, & So Very Sure of a Specific & Total Mental Health Approach?… No, Not at all!… For Understandable Reasons, considering the Mental Health nebulous general standards & ways thru the years out there, as nothing really has changed, along with the Primary means & reliance on medicating, instead of Properly Treating Sufferers Naturally (as witnessed & been thru)… It is about time we change our Mental Health ways, because what is going on now Is Obviously Not Working!!! … with 70% of all prescribed medication being for Anxiety & Depression or related per stats I’ve seen & heard in the past, over 10 years ago is Appalling!  & MH matters are just getting Worse, especially with the onset of those COVID times & beyond! But there are of course some who are not complaining considering all the $s being made… & as I say in 1.0 Intro in the Book  …”And the Main reason behind this all stems from the only Biblical statement which I address in section 4: … i.e. “We can’t have two Masters, God and money… we are going to Love one and hate the other” … so which way is Society, or us humans taking us (as addressed in section 4.4)?  Yeah, the Very Wrong Way”…  Thus, Mental Health Changes will never happen from the top down where $s are involved, & Change will & can only happen from the bottom up… i.e. from the Individual(s) and on up… A Blog post I provided, with the words copied from the Book, Clearly IDs Details of why this be True, per an Objective view taken, from what I’ve witnessed as a resident in psych wards & out patient facilities 4Xs over, & also what observed from the private sector MH Community, besides,  how we typically are & operate as humans… It all sums up to “Numbing…..”  https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2019/09/05

I can’t imagine this Book & Approach, not being the True NATURAL Answer/Solution for all those negative thinking based conditions … for Anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD, Addiction(Recovery), ADD, ADHD, & Likely BPD, Bipolar 2 (as my Son would attest to… “Meds for Life” they told him… Nonsense!). As for  Bipolar 1 & Schizophrenia  those who Suffer with may need or likely will need per the latter condition some level of meds or (?) to go along with the Process to balance themselves, but Certainly The Book’s Process would provide Significant HELP being human, without question!….. But in general for whatever one’s MH Issues are,  it all depends on the Individual/Sufferer themselves, and their Willingness/Desire & Diligence to Read/Educate & Work on Selves!! … Bottom Line you get out of This what you put into This, 100%!… That is the dividing line separating those who appropriately Can & Will  Turn their Lives Around vs. those that can’t or won’t !.. So few will do this based on human standards, especially these days… Truly, the Only matters preventing Sufferers from doing what is Necessary to Take Care of themselves, granted they are Able to (e.g. unless suffering with Brain Trauma), is their negative/unreal thinking ways, which initially gets Sufferers in their Holes of Pains/Issues, & subsequently  prevents them from moving forward & doing what they need to do to accept Change, & TRY and Work on themselves… 

(2) Key Facts associated with this Book addressing the Factual/Logical nature of the Book’s Positivity Tools/Skills Process:

A) Negativity impacts Brain/Body Chemistry in a neg way, negatively Impacting Feelings, Emotions, Creating Our Mental Health Issues & Positivity Normalizes/Reverses matters… &

B) The Basis & Lowest Level of Our Feelings, Emotions, Stresses & Issues are Our individual negative thoughts… How Best to drill down to Our individual negative thoughts and sources of those negative thoughts, Self-Personalizes the Process for All, getting us down to the Root Cause of our MH Issues!  This Cognitive Behavioral Modification Process (CBT) ,along with the Necessary Details as written in the Main Book per sections 5 & 6 respectively, provides the Tools/Skills Necessary to convert us from negative thinkers to Positive thinkers via a Repetitive Training Process.  This Repetitive Training CBT Process is KEY in Re-programming out Brains from being negative to Positive Thinkers! Note that the Early steps in the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, Conditions Sufferers up front, facilitating the Process to allow them to dig down to their  negative thoughts & sources of.  Besides, can’t forget about the selection of Our Master God over $s :), as sect. 4 Our Faith/Our Foundation involves the Basis of Our Positivity when we get that RIGHT, whereas, with a weakened Foundation, that would likely result in the basis of our negativity…!  

Note that there are CBT processes offered out there by the Mental Health community, but based on looking into matters CBT Processes are Definitely not the same… Again as explained the Books CBT Positivity Process is Optimized as a Self-Helper,  and is Self-Personalized for all allowing us to condition ourselves up front in Process & then allowing us to whittle down to our individual negative thoughts & sources of our negativity which is the Root Cause of our MH Issues we develop… Now who would know more about our negative thoughts than ourselves when we are properly conditioned to do that? The Answer is NOONE…!  MH Pros offer CBT processes but they feel they have to personalize it for the people they are helping… Makes no sense to me knowing what I know about the Book’s Optimized Process, hence don’t know the make-up of MH based CBTs…

Regarding differences in CBT processes I came across, I was  avidly trying to Help a young lady on Twitter who was pretty much Agorophobic and Suffered Badly, pretty much as I did in the past with Anxiety, OCD, Depression/Deep Depression (for 25 yrs in my case as a Worse Caser).  Her Problem was, as most of us often think, not being Educated Appropriately about the facts of MH matters is, she felt she needed to stick to what the MH Pros were telling her 100% thinking they know best & they would provide the best approach to solve our MH matters; After all I Experienced thru the years that could not be any further from the TRUTH!   Hence, she convinced by the MH Pros to go into residential care, for 4 months as it turned out and go thru a CBT Process, namely the “ERP” process where essentially, the Pros deal with an OCD sufferer’s Compulsions at the time… I did an evaluation on this supposed “Gold Standard” of CBTs for OCD which she was going into treatment for.   Here is the blog post I wrote on the evaluation: https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2021/10/27/.  As stated, the supposed #1 CBT approach to deal with OCD, is ERP (Exposure Response Prevention), I looked into it more… From what I read, this approach deals with exposure of the individual Sufferer to uncomfortable situations/triggers that they have difficulty with & with the trained therapists involved, they educate the Sufferer of what it takes to react differently to the specific problem that is troubling them… & they repeat the process it sounds like until they get that right, one trigger at a time(?)… Sounds kind of  abrupt on first thought, & KNOWING, not getting down to the Root Cause up front (i.e. one’s negative/unreal thoughts which creates the triggers the reactions & compulsions),  but further downstream in effect dealing with one’s Reactions to the individual’s triggers,  makes no sense at all?!  So here they are dealing with the compulsions one has at the time but they do not address what will happen in the future post treatment as more negative/unreal thinking comes to mind triggering additional, maybe endless #s of additional compulsions… YEAH, I KNEW deep down after the COSTLY!! 4 months in residential treatment this young lady was going thru at the time,  that she would continue to have serious problems with Anxiety/OCD Issues besides developing increasing levels of Depression having not handled her OCD/Anxiety Issues appropriately;  Anxiety/OCD Issues left unchecked over time becomes Very Depressing!!  And YEAH, I was right, unfortunately! And it appears she is taking various types of meds on top of that just skewing her more.  She now feels that she will be living with this condition for the rest of her life which she will unless she changes course.  She continues to refuse to go with an alternate approach but always have informed her to contact me if/when she is ready… Hope to God she does not wait too long cause I know in the desparate troubling feeling she is living with and battling daily, hourly, that her life is in jeopardy! I Know that feeling all too well!

In sum, I feel the Book’s Positivity Process including the Importance of Eating Well, Exercise, & :)s & laughs, also covered, encompasses  close to half the Game in Life, while “section 4” (Spirituality & All), is at least half of the Game in Life as written in the Book’s Final Cut… As already stated, in Essence, this Book covers All Life’s Issues which may arise, whether matters fall within our control (i.e. our own Thoughts and Actions), or outside our control… It supports  Our Spiritual, Emotional, & Physical Needs… & One more thing… Until you Try & Read/Work the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, & allow our Our Faith & Foundation to Grow (e.g. repetitively reading scripture)… you just would not Understand & KNOW the True Power in this Two-Fold Process’s..! Unfortunately as humans,  Most won’t TRY to Change matters in their Life often because of the #1 negative that Most People have within them… That “I Can’t because….” which takes on different forms!

As a Sufferer, following the surge of Improvement we get & Feel as we step through the Process, this  Positivity Process serves to crack open that negative shell which can surround or consume us if we Struggle or Suffer, clearing up Our Thoughts & Minds about Everything really… Then, in parallel, is a Real Good Time to start mending or Working on Our Faith/Our Foundation!… Or else we end up in Life, like a building with a rather strong upside, but with a weak/weakened Foundation… In such a case, we will most likely crumble with age, when/where our ok becomes actually not ok for the most part, struggling and limping away, or likely even/much worse… My Son (diagnosed with Bipolar Type 2, Meds for Life they said again) Learned about that First hand, but is now locked into all aspects of what written & hence has become Extremely Solid Emotionally (& a Tough Hombre+ :) minus any/All meds!… The Positivity Process encompasses the majority of the Book in page count, & as stated has all the Necessary Details & the Instruction Set stepping the Sufferer thru the Complete Positivity Process…& As for the Book’s section 4… Allowing Faith to Grow with age, which is its  story line in essence, involves Our personal journey… Although,  I do provide some suggestions in tune with allowing Faith to grow, since we just can’t gain that thru osmosis :)… Similar to the Positivity Tools/Skills Process & Repetitive Training scheme, or working out for our Physicality, Repetitive Training is likewise what it takes for Spiritual Growth as well…

The Lady I Learned from,  Lucinda Bassett, I repeatedly bring up in the Book, including in the Book’s Bibliography: “… Dear Lucinda, You are an Angel, and You Saved My Life! …Thanks Graciously & God Bless,… Author Ron” … Incredible, Special Lady in what she & her Pro crew formulated & provided… unmatched per the 1999 Program I Learned from, or to this day… That I funneled  into my Book, along with additions applied based on personal Experience/Growth over time… some of which I consider Key elements which Certainly Helped me & could Help Others, especially dealing with Depression, besides the  Importance & Inclusion of section 4!… Lucinda has a Book “From Panic to Power” which I read thru, which serves as a pointer to her (2) Programs she had at the time, advertised in the back of the Book… But that Book does not have the Necessary Details nor Instruction Set which is Key per what is provided in her Program, as well as in This Book… Another Book I read of hers, “Truth Be Told”, she indicates why she had to leave her business… her husband’s suicide, where manic-depression (now referred to as Bipolar Type 1 from what understand) took his Life when he refused to medicate as needed… REAL SAD!!! After leaving her business, she was thereafter dealing with People who have gone thru suicide of loved ones as well… God Bless Her!!! She probably did or is doing an Amazing job with that!!… I contacted her maybe (3) times since starting to write my Book. She is fully aware of me writing this Book and all… & per the Last contact I told her, I  am So Sorry what happened… She indicated in reply, she was in the process to find a church in her area for her and her 2 Youngins, or  maybe early teens by  that time(?).

Regarding Lucinda’s Audio/Workbook Positivity Process Program which Son & I Learned from, vs. what I have witnessed with Book in Hand, for those few Sufferers I came across who were Diligent about Reading & Working on themselves, the Effectiveness & the Extent of Time it Took for Matters to Really Turn Around in Lives seems to be virtually the same.  Although in the long run thru Life, there is no question the Book’s Process by comparison, based on the additions made including, most Importantly, sect. 4… Our Faith/Our Foundation, & #1 Dependence along with extensive Rationale of Importance addressed in Book makes this Combined Process as Powerful as we can get being humans, NO DOUBTS!  FIRMLY Believe,  sect. 4 is Essential/Imperative for our Mental Health in the Long Run thru Life Solidifying our Positivity & Everything Essentially as I have Learned & Experienced!

Huge Positive Impacts per either approach will occur with both providing Glaringly Tremendous Life Changing/ Life Savings Impacts!!! Amazing Transformation(s) I felt and have witnessed(!), clearly demonstrating the Effectiveness & Substance of what written.  Briefly, when I started to Work this process, by Process Standards, it took less then 5 week when I dropped down & cried like a baby feeling Positivity flow thru me Naturally & Automatically for the 1st time in my Life, & it Blew Me Away!… That is when I was totally motivated to continue thru the whole Process ( 15 weeks by Process Standards although made mistakes of Impatience which explain in Book)… As for the 3/3/20 Reviewer, after he started working the Process via the Book, within 5 weeks that is when he started to feel the Tremendous Positive impacts within him :), & when he wrote his Review (addressed below)… And again, I did add some Key elements, especially regarding Depression aspects, which Certainly Helped me and would Definitely Help others as well…  I also provide mistakes I made going thru the Process… Mistakes you Certainly don’t want to make while going thru this Process!… As I Firmly Believe or Know, I Don’t believe there feasibly could be anything better in a TRUE Self-Help Book form… especially considering the Progression of writing the Book thru 4 Editions into It’s Latest Edition, “The Final Cut” ID’d on front cover! 

Now, this is where the Program I Learned from Ends, & where/when the Book’s section 4 Takes Over… Section 4 again addresses Spirituality, Mindfulness, Our Faith, Our Foundation, & Our #1 Dependence, which again is the basis of our Positivity, & which Solidifies Our Positive Well Being overtime… Without this in Our Lives, & just depending on the Positivity Tools/Skills only, I’m Certain, Won’t Cut It in the long run… As I say in the Book … At times, our Positivity which we can develop extensively/beautifully via the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process, can only take us so far, until we reach that threshold within us, past the burden we can bare, when we need More (i.e. Our Faith…); unfortunately, help from another human is very limited.” And in desperate times and Needs, what else or who else can we Rely on… Yep, NOTHING! ” 

Some Details of what is included in the Book, vs. the Program: Most Importantly, the Book includes section 4, &  in “The Final Cut” of this Book, adjustments and additional words were provided, Rationalizing/Clarifying why the Positivity Tools/Skills go hand in hand with Our Faith which were included in the previous Blog post mentioned (i.e.  https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2019/09/17 ) … In section 4.4, I also address the Importance of combining Positivity Self-Talk statements we Learn & Say to ourselves, with Prayer statements as I indicate…  “combining Positivity statements with Prayer, just may double up the Power for you :)!”  One of those bulleted Positivity/Prayer statements written in section 4.4 is:

  • “Look for the Good, the Pluses, and the Positives in anything,everything, anybody, everybody, anytime and all the time Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus (& Have Faith & Trust!). This does not mean you need to always see the Good, but just keep on looking for it … and again Have Faith & Trust:)!”

(4) statements as such included in the Book, were actually formulated as I was in a Depressive state, during  a particular time in Life… These Positivity/Prayer statements HELPED me Big time, pull myself out of the mud I found myself in… So, Yes, I found them to be Very Powerful! I have 10 Global Ratings, & 7 known reviews currently so far but…. ( FYI: rrr…actually should have been 8 known reviews since one of my 5 star reviews dated 3/23/16 was deleted which appears to be an Amazon account issue as looked into or a similar snafu…It was not deleted by the Young Lady who originally generated it using  her Mom’s account at the time… Actually she tried to add another Review as a replacement, but to no avail due to not being up to snuff with all the Amazon standards they have for reviews interestingly (that loaded word)… Actually the Review she was trying to get in was captured in Blog Post: https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2020/09/06 )…  Subsequently though, this Reviewer did provide a Review per the “Rise and Shine Parents Self-Help Guide for the Youngins” Book on Amazon.com, where she identifies the 2-Fold Impacts of this Book on herself as an Individual & In Support of her Child as mature, as she is a Great Mom now :) … SO PLEASING in Every Aspect!  This is the Link to the Review : It will take away anxiety and depression for you and your children. 

But Yeah This Book as written can be Controversial in the eyes of  many, considering …

  1. it goes against the grain of General MH Professionals from what I’ve learned/witnessed when dealing with the Pros while I was going thru those 25 yrs of Pain/Issues (as a Worse Caseer) with Anxiety/OCD & Depression (DeepDepression), where I Learned Nothing about the Proper, Natural way of dealing with these Issues…
  2. it includes Spirituality & Faith, which is, as most know, is controversial in itself although should Never be as such…
  3. if Understand Mental Health, and what it Takes, whether or not this is comfortable, likable, or if willing to discuss or not, you would realize, this Book Covers All f/Most really! & Yeah the Truth does Hurts at times… If you ever Suffered Terribly & Truly found your way out of the Pains, You would Sooo Understand! & YES we have to Work hard on ourselves to be Good at anything, and that Certainly goes for our Mental Health!  Unfortunately, us as humans don’t like to really work on themselves, as they feel, they can change without change… But of course it is Impossible, as we can’t Change without Change…

So Yeah, this Book is bound to draw negative reviews, & my 5th review was a 1 starer, written because of my unorthdox writing style Capitalizing words (based my inner Drive, Passion, & Emotion on matter etc. as I address in the Book & those words per the Blog post: https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2021/02/04/ ), and in this particular case, a rather spiteful review, which was clear when curiosity surrounded me and went to take a quick look at the reviewer profile at the time… hmmm… a degree in psychology(?) …self-proclaimed “Coffee & Chocolate Aholic” (=s a fair share of Caffeine)… a book blogger tending toward the negative side per other reviews seen… yeah, so does make sense :)… And a Sci Fi author as well(?)… And obviously, not a Person of Faith at the time of the review... Actually I felt rather bad for the Reviewer, considering All she could Learn from this Book, if she just got past the Capitalization hang-up and all… Including section 4 needs for Our Well Being, especially since I learned she was having Significant eye/vision problems, and was starting a collection for surgery or further investigations(?)…Very Sad!!  I told her in an e-mail contact… in Life, when things get outside Our Control, then it would be Real Important and a Good time to lock into something much Bigger than we are… Regardless, I felt per the review as written, section 4 matters could certainly help, besides the Impacts of the Positivity Process…. She was launching a new Book at the time and told her best of luck in your endeavors and God Bless!… Hey, Remember, Life is all about Love and Forgiveness no matter what the circumstances… 2 comments were written against this review … The first one, by date at the time, I did, and the most recent one was written by an Individual I most recently Helped (as he was an English major in college as it so happened to be :)). [[Note that sometime in early 2021, all Comments were deleted by Amazon from all reviews… Although, my comment was captured in the 4th Final Edition/”The Final Cut” of the Book  & also was provided in a Blog post ( https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2021/02/04/)]]. Anyway, the individual who provided the other comment, provided his 3/4/20 review on the BookYou may want to read the 3/4/20 review addressing the Book’s Impacts on this Individual/Sufferer who I came across during this past 2020 Holiday season… 

3/4/20 Reviewer’s  review is how he felt just a bit after the first 4 weeks of training, from a very low point in life to… :); i.e. at about the 5 week mark per Book training standards… The review is entitledLife Changingagain dated 3/3/20… He was previously diagnosed with “Anxiety, Depression, OCD, & PTSD” ( which he suffered with “his whole life”) by the Professional Community he was dealing with for 5-6 years, taking a cocktail of meds, to no Positive avail, as that ride ended for him spending time in a psych ward.  I Certainly know that ride as well in different ways!  But Now, How things are/were Changing within him & will be continuing to Change in a Most Positive way,  is a Certainty, since he is so Diligent about doing the Work :)… i.e. the repetitive training/reprogramming process he is in tune with as inferred… Now for him, he is the first individual who was really open, requesting some help upfront, and really for him or anyone really, this only requires upfront Encouragement & Cheer Leading, since this True Self-Help Book is Complete!  He was in a low/dark place to begin with when I started dealing with him… & after about  1/3 of the way through the total Positivity Tools/Skills training process (12 week total), that’s when he generated his review.  So I Know, he Is Going to Fly(!), as it was for me… It Is Inevitable :)!  I was/am So Confident about this since,  Hey, I’ve been through it all, on both sides of the fence… Noteworthy, when he started Working this he said he was reading other Self-Help Books of some sort… I told him I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to stop using those other Books,  as the Process you will be Learning Now, per Book’s Process, is a Complete Comprehensive Process & Most Certainly you would not want to deviate in any way from what you will be Learning, with other matters which would Only CONFUSE you!  He Readily dropped those others… Just about 6/14/20, this Gent did a one paragraph update at the end of his review after cycling thru the whole Book… This is a direct link in getting there to that review and “1 Comment”:“Life Changing!”  :)…. Oh, and I ran into him on 9/18/20 as he asked to take a walk with him to brush up on how all is going/how’s Life… :)  He is Doing Absolutely Tremendous… The Positive Changes I saw, then to now is Remarkable, as it was for my Son, & I, besides what I witnessed per the 9/1/15 Reviewer as well)…

Talking of which... Another Powerful, & likely Life Savings Impact related review you  may want to read, is from a Young Lady in her early 20s, who was Very Spiritual for her age, but had Significant levels of Anxiety & Depression for understandable reasons… This review was my very first review entitled This book literally saved my life” dated 9/2/15.   Talked to that Young Lady last time, 3/13/22 :)… In the Book (The Final Cut), I refer to her as the “Golden Girl” being Very Spiritual at an Early age (early 20s) to, & So Special I could tell, but Suffered Terribly when first met her… Until she Read & Worked the Book… Hence her Review… Yeah she was the very 1st Reviewer on Amazon …. God Bless her as just found out, she has Spina Bifida  :( … She Remains So Positive (a WOW!), sometimes needs walker… teaching Kids, including sign language Helping Impaired… Said she Brings what she LEARNED f/Book into her class… Hence She Remains Golden :)!  Love that Young Girl!!

The latest Review have is dated 5/3/22… ! The author of this book wrote from experience! … Yeah this Reviewer is more average Emotionally vs. the (2) Sufferers mentioned in the last 2 paragraphs, but she did Struggle or Suffer appreciably at times with Anxiety & PTSD Issues… Fortunately she had her FAITH to begin with which of course is at least 50% of the game in Life… & Of course a Solid Foundation to start off with does involve the Basis of our Positivity when we get that RIGHT!… I did provide her a quite a bit of  Cheerleading/Coaching to Motivate her thru the Positivity Process while Keeping her on Track with the Process, along with providing some Key Tidbits addressed along the way to sometimes remind her of things she was Learning. As it turned out, I provided more Cheer leading/Coaching for her than anyone else  I have reached out to Help who have Suffered More, Interestingly … In so doing, I Learned a good amount honing my own Cheerleading skills cause as she put it “she is a tough nut to crack :)”… … Lots of Cheerleading either via DM, E-mail, or Talking to her… Great Lady & Fam & She puts Lots of her Efforts forth in Life being a Great Mom+, doing all she can do for her child in school etc., Quite Understandable & Admirable!… I told her at times though, we need to put ourselves First in Process to be properly Focused on such All Important Matters at Hand, to Best Take Care of Ourselves! If we don’t Take Care of Ourselves First, PROPERLY, then How are we going to Take Care of Others, no matter Who they are?… She was saying How she Desires to Flow Down what she Learns to her Child which inevitably would be Very Helpful!  As I say in the Main Book:….”Today’s youth, often are brought up in a bubble, I call it, where they are showered with Positives and spoiled to a certain extent  but often with little if any reality checks flowed their way.” & as Parents we often feel the need to keep their environment as pristine as long as possible, which is Surely not for the Benefit of our Youth as Stresses begin to amount in Life, when, it may become a Grind as they mature if not Properly Educated with these Most Important Matters……. 11/8/22 Update:...  As the story goes though, I was  really never sure about this Reviewer’s Diligence in Working the Process, which is CRUCIAL to be able to Reap the Tremendous  Benefits when Work It RIGHT!…  Yeah, again as stated, she was Very Busy helping her Daughter which really was her main focus, but I kept on egging her to ask her husband to sub in for her while she was in Process per the 12 week Process so she could give the Process her Best & a more concentrated effort… Apparently that was not going to happen… So when I asked her a number of times on whether or not she was sticking with the Process per the 4Xs Repetitive Training steps, in the approximate scheduling requested/necessary, etc., contrary to such questioning towards others I have helped, she would mostly respond with  a  simple Yah :)… Hardly convincing especially since in Process, I found myself often reminding her of Key factors she already should have Learned while proceeding thru the Process… Also, she was  merging the Book’s Process, along with a less Comprehensive Tapping approach she ID’d she often used, similar to what  her Daughter was using at times dealing with Anxious moments… She felt she needed these additional tools, because she could not always write things down negative to Positive conversions as the Process calls for… Unfortunately, she didn’t understand  as the Book Clearly IDs, after writing those individual negative thoughts on paper & converting them to Positives for some time, as continue to Work matters this way, we are Reprogramming ourselves. Hence the Positivity Process & more Positive Selves, does meld within us & does becomes  Automatic & Natural as proceed eliminating needs for writing things down repeatedly thereafter or anymore per similar situations which may crop up… That’s how it works… But if don’t stick to it then who knows?…  When first started working with this Reviewer, the 2nd item I brought up with her as a Key lead in FYI  as written in an email, “Similarly as I was Helping the 3/3/20 Reviewer up front, he had told me he was reading multiple Books on Mental Health when he started reading the Book (The Final Cut) which I provided him… I told him, Please, drop the others for now (like a ton of bricks…)” to eliminate confusion in Process which would just muddy the waters, & as the Book says, Stick to the Process as the Process Is Complete/Comprehensive!… NOT GOOD At All mixing MH Approaches together which if anything would only Confuse !!  Anyway, as time went on, she went along with with  another Approach, as she felt more Comfortable in “dealing with one (negative) emotion at a time” with the Help of a Christian Based Hypnotist she came across… He did help her after guiding her thru several hypnotic sessions helping her uncover a Key Christian Based Issue she had with lack of Forgiveness associated with an Individual involved with her PTSD Issue which she did not feel was a problem at the time when I brought that to her attention in the past & clearly identified in a Direct Message to her about it being at least a Yellow Flag in effect... As such I did mention to her, as the Book says, Love without Forgiveness is No Love At All!  I felt she would have Picked up on that Issue on her own being Christian, but she was  stern in her reaction to the situation Needing a Spiritual Awakening regarding this Key Issue Troubling her… Yeah, it was Great to have had a Christian Hypnotist Gent come across her & provide that additional Help to have her Acknowledge  the reason for this Issue she had which significantly Impacted her sleeping patterns, as she was dealing with insomnia for some time… Noteworthy:  The Book’s Process was geared to allow us to be our own Therapist 24 hours a day!… So  who would be a better Therapist than the Sufferer themselves, to be able to whittle down & understand their own individual negative thoughts & sources of when Properly Conditioned in Process & Works the Process Properly?… ABSOLUTELY NO ONE!  As such this Eliminates the Needs for another human to Help us deal with any/all MH Issues!.. That’s Absolutely HUGE as I would think All would understand!   & as a result, Bottom Line, we just Need Ourselves & Our Dependence on GOD, Ultimately for our MH Needs.  Per the Latest discussions with this 5/3/22 Reviewer, she acknowledges she could have worked the Process Better & indicates she is going to go thru at least a Read thru again, but I suggested another time thru the Total Process to squeeze all she can get out of this for herself & for purposes of Helping her Daughter in the near future; she realizes this is as Strong as a True Self-Helper as it is going to get for us humans :).

I have been dealing with another individual who actually is living in Belgium in a town 1hr away from where my Mom was born… Wow, that’s Cool :)!  Well he has been suffering Significantly for a number of years with OCD, Anxiety, Depression, & other more Extreme Issues which I’d rather not disclose. ... I’ve been doing some Cheerleading for him like I did for the 3/3/20 Reviewer, & the 5/3/22 Reviewer as well… He is as of 5/31/22 about 6 weeks thru the Process, with 6 weeks to go, & as he wrote in a message to me & visible to others: “I Can’t tell how much this book saved my life” & a subsequent message… “This book will help you feel so much better I really believe that. You won’t believe the energy boost in positivity. You will feel better+++.” & a follow-up to that:  “You’ll feel 20x better, trust me.”…. Oh yeah his official Review will be coming out before too long as he progresses thru the program I do believe… But in his case, he will likely have to reach out for supplemental med/meds to Balance his Life considering what he is going thru beyond what it takes for Most MH Issues… What’s Really Great is that he was receptive to Faith & Faith Growth as Book Addresses, bringing That into his Life  for the first time Ever  :)! Such is why I did what I did & do what I do :)!  

Regarding those (2) Strong reviews (3/4/20, & 9/2/15),  both Individuals were in deep trouble at the time when they received the Book, & both NEEDED/DESIRED Change & were Willing to Read/Educate & Work On Themselves … The Results speak for themselvesYou Get Out of the Process What You Put Into It… goes without saying!!!

Regarding the other (5) 5 star reviews I had, & again 1 of the 5 starers was dropped by Amazon as addressed. They are/were likewise strong, but you could say these Reviewers were more average emotionally and not Suffering, they may have done a onetime read thru like any Book… but maybe or likely more(?) including some level of repetitive training  considering  the Review dated 4/19/16 (?), & the Young Lady who provided her review on the Amazon.com site per the Parents Self-Help Guide for the Youngins, ID’d & provided above.  The Key Point about a few of the  reviews I currently have, is that this Book is Definitely suited for Anyone really, whether Suffer or just Struggle like lots of  People do these days…  In meantime, since started writing this post, received another 5 star review dated 4/14/20 entitled “Hope. The only person that will get you to your level of success is yourself”:”The importance of preparing your mind and your thinking for the journey of personal change is the key message of this book. This book is a must-read! Do not wait around for anyone, take action!” Short but Well Said :)! This was from a Young Spiritual Lady I came across rather recently when I was providing freebie Ebooks during the early stages of COVID-19, in early 3/20… This review is another indicator, that this Book Fits most Anyone, & as a Minimum would support Anyone’s Game Plan Adjustments in Life :).

As for the existence of professional reviews (more or less?), as I wrote a tweet about … “I KNOW How EFFECTIVE this is but as to how written… 2 Pro services contacted me to share costs for mainstream publishing & did Review of 3rd Edition Book, giving Book a “Very High” 8.92 out of 10, & other 8.6. They just Read It & Did Not Work It When Its True Power Is Understood!” :)  I thought that was Real Cool & Impressive :)! A comment one of them provided: ‘‘This what sets author apart from other writers. Author’s unique way of stringing words together, formulating ideas, and relating scenes or images to the reader. In any piece of writing, the voice should be consistent and identifiable which the author has done a very good job.” :).

I first Realized the True Power in this Book, with Book in hand only, when I saw its Impacts on (3) Successive people I came across in an apartment complex who were willing to put in some Work for themselves…  This was the time period when already had the 2nd Edition of this Book published, and was in process of formulating/publishing the 3rd Edition Book.  One of those individuals was that 9/1/15 Reviewer (This book literally saved my life“)…  Regarding these (3) I do provide a paragraph in “The Final Cut” Book which addresses these:

“As far as impacts of the Book with Book in hand only for People I have personally witnessed, I have seen Tremendous Positive results +, and Yes even to the extent of being Life Saving while living at an apartment complex a while back.  This was a rather social environment around the pool area, and I swam pretty much every day (the luxury of living in CA :)), keeping those endorphins a swimming/flowing :).  I did get to know a number of People there… By the time I left the complex to live elsewhere, where I am now, some were calling me the mayor for whatever reason :), probably because of my frequency in the pool/Jacuzzi, and my many grey hairs :); otherwise, not sure why (?)…  I was just being me … Anyway, Seriously, for Everyone I know who received my Book, and who did obviously Read and Work It, based on the before vs. after reactions/demeanor changes I witnessed, the Positive Impacts were Impressive ++!  To see the initial Power of this TRUE Self-Help Book (per the 2nd and 3rd Editions), in the hands of two Young Ladies I came across, after about 2 1/2 months (ironically), from when initially getting the Book in both cases, not knowing how quickly they began working it, Validated Everything about its Effectiveness and why I wrote this Book!  I Was Absolutely Blown Away :) twice over as things went!  One of those Ladies provided their review on Amazon (dated 9/1/2015).  As for this Young Lady, seeing her Improve ++ from having Significant levels of Anxiety and Depression for very understandable reasons, to having all this Positivity, Confidence, and Assertive nature towards people in her Life she had to be Assertive with (!) … well I really kind of lost it in the most Positive way :) … lost a lot of water that day and I had to reach way down to grab my heart it seemed, and put it back in place… Yeah, again, this did Absolutely Blow Me Away ++!! As for the other 20 something year old Lady, there were similarities in Confidence and Positivity (besides how she was carrying herself) coming from her as well. But to see her in that state following that time period, after we (with help from assistant manager), had to call the paramedics on her due to an apparent suicide in works (her body temp was 93-94 deg F), likewise Blew Me Away!…  I Am and Felt So Humbled and Beyond! But, it is entirely up to the individual to put the work forth, doing the repetitive training, to reap the Benefits from this Education which can be nothing short of Tremendous, and to stick with it, since it is a way of Life, for Life, in how we operate and react to things!  Besides, gots to have Our Faith :)! I do address a couple more cases witnessed at the apartment complex I lived at, on the Amazon site for the Book as the overview of Book addresses, which were likewise Eye Opening, especially for a 17-18 year older who I came across … This teen/young adult was panicky as he talked to me … After 1 month, 7 days of getting it (in a plumbed up 3rd edition form), diving into it, Obviously, it Positively had a Dramatic impact on his whole demeanor, from being So fearful,  to being Excited! … I remember that same feeling after about a month and half of working the corresponding program I received, I felt that switch of Positivity being hit within me for the first time ever it seemed… In All, I felt/Feel Blessed living this and witnessing these Impacts!! Witnessing all this, again, completely Validated Everything about the Power of this Book that I thought it might be when I first wrote it …”

And  with the 3/4/20 Reviewer, “who suffered with Anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD his whole life”, well that was the Icing on the Cake Clearly addressing Its TRUE Power in the Book once again!So witnessing 4 for 4 Glaringly Tremendous to Life Savings Positive Impacts with Book in hand up to that date, and besides the Huge Impacts this Total Process had on my Son (Anxiety Depression Bipolar 2), & I (Anxiety, Depression, OCD), Confirms Everything I Know of the Power & Effectiveness of this Process & Process with Book In Hand!…  Hardly a fluke or stroke of luck my Friends :), especially considering the Extent of the Impacts FELT and witnessed…! Yeah, Exactly Everything I was hoping for as to the Substance & Effectiveness, making it Clear how Powerful this Book Is !!… Couldn’t be more PLEASED :)!

Regarding the influence of Faith, or otherwise, in Our Lives and what I have witnessed: Regarding that young early 20s Lady who had to call the paramedics on, I ran into her about 2 yrs. since that time when she was showing Significant Positive Impacts after receiving the Book… But she was not doing that well…?, so I chatted with her about why… It became Very Clear Why… As far as my section 4 … she was not really in tune with that, admittedly, not allowing Faith to Grow & struggling with Belief… That is what made her crumble over that time since she initially showed powerful signs of  doing Real Good… ((Just like what I saw later on within my Son when he began faltering Big Time after having a handle on the Positivity Tools only, ignoring the Importance of Faith!))  I mentioned to her, keep on doing what you Learned from the Positivity Process … stick to it, but more importantly, you gots to Lock Into section 4… Without that Strong Foundation, we will Struggle thru Life… But with That,  Our Positivity & Well Being Solidifies… She cried, and I told her please consider what I’ve said!! PLEASE for your sake!!!

Now, as for my Son…Son became real GOOD at the Positivity Tools/Skills Process per the Program he Learned from… he thereafter became familiar with my Book as that materialized, and said one day, Dad, I get the Positivity Process down real Good, but as far as your section 4 Faith/Foundation, & Dependence on Our Supreme Being, I am not sure about all that… Well that is when I told him, if you lose sight of that over time, you will be sure to pay the price, and it will haunt you… And Did He/ Did That Ever happen!!!! Consequently, when his Mom had him re-evaluated by another Professional, this time around, instead of just being diagnosed with Anxiety & Depression which he was previous diagnosed as, years prior, he was now diagnosed with Bipolar 2 … “medication for Life” they said… NONSENSE!!!… I eventually realized…, He eventually realized that himself, as I was talking to him about section 4’s Importance & Influence many times over…,  but that is when I am Certain God took over and finally opened up his Eyes/Heart/& Soul to all this, as he finally locked in, & did what he had to do… so he began to shore up his Foundation, fix those chinks in his Foundation, make GOOD choices, and now focus on GOD/Jesus (as he is Christian as I am), as his #1 Dependence in Life… He did that, has shedded all those meds, & Doing Beautifully!!! He is now a Very Strong Hombre & I never have to worry about him ever again really!!!

Regarding the influence of having Faith & a Strong Foundation on our Well Being, as for myself, & the 9/1/15, & 3/3/20 Reviewers,  we had Spiritual ties to begin with… As in the case of myself, & the 9/1/15 & 3/3/20 Reviewers, where we were all either rather Spiritual (me) or Very Spiritual (Reviewers), we all Suffered Significantly in Life until Worked the Positivity Process which Turned Matters Completely Around for us, Amazingly! So Yes, if Suffer or Struggle, the Two-Fold Process as written is KEY to Success & Peace of mind in Life!  And as Clearly understood from my Experiences & what observed, as written in the Book, the Positivity Process allows us to crack open that negative shell which can consume us,  allowing us to clear up our minds & connect with things of most Importance including our Faith, providing a enhancement of FAITH & a stepping stone to Greater Faith (NO DOUBTS)!

This Blog post provides the Total Scoop on the Substance & Effectiveness of this Book I Know it to be & as witnessed! … The only Editor I ever had for this Book & in Life is God :) … Good reason it  turned out So Effective :)!… I Know, if People in general were ever to Magically Change and be more inclined to Educate & Work on themselves, as we should  in taking care of ourselves, then this Book would rapidly climb the charts of those TRUE Self-Help Books which presumably are out there, and Likely would Top that List… Furthermore,  if Mental Health Approaches everywhere were to align with this Book’s Approach, I’m Certain the Mental Health epidemic trends we are currently seeing would Significantly subside/diminish!

Just a few more “Truth(s) Be Told” matters to mention regarding could I Improve the “5th/Final Touch Edition” of the Book or in any way….?  NOPE not at all cause any additional Improvements or Clarifications have been incorporated in this Latest Edition of the Book.  This included adding Coaching Cues & Tidbits at the tail end of section 1.4 (Book Instructions essentially) which I provided for those I have Coached in the past; these Cues/Tidbits are specific to Working the Positivity Tools/Skills Process in section 5 & 6 of the Book (i.e. whittling down to our individual negative thoughts and amending matters, & dealing with the sources of our negativity).  Otherwise, the only reason someone may want to contact me to provide for some assistance would be to provide “Cheerleading” I call it as Book is Complete…  This “Cheerleading” would amount to being a Motivator for someone while initially working the Positivity Tools/Skills Process… Usually thru the first 4 -5 weeks of Working it would only be necessary… Then Typically, the Individually would be Motivated on their Own as it amounts to to finish up the 12 week Process on their own… At most really because  the way the Book is written, it is Highly Motivating in my writing style as I have been told.

Actually, the Best of Therapists should only have to be Good Cheerleaders, & provide the Sufferer/Customer the Proper Material to do the Work from, since the Sufferer Needs to do the Work themselves 100%; no one can do the Work for them! Talk therapy & it’s Positive Impacts are Extremely Limiting!  And Talk Therapy is the only Therapy I’ve ever gone thru as that is the Norm… It’s Completely Ineffective from all I have witnessed, cause it sounds good & all at the time but as soon as that door closes behind you, Nothing Really Changes!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Book is Controversial as written, but it shouldn’t be considered as such, if Know Mental Health & What It Really Takes to Turn Matters around in Life if Suffer, &/or to Aspire in Life for Anyone really… 354 words Only :).

Yeah, what I wrote is So Important for So Many, & Actually it is meant for any human being as far as One’s Well Being is concerned, if Suffer with any negative thinking based condition or if just Average… Just have to be human … & what is written is in all TRUTH, needless to say, but is considered controversial, going against the grain of the MH Pros, but yet so Factual/Logical, if understand the importance of drilling down to Our individual negative thoughts & sources of being, my Friends, the Roots of Our bad Feelings, Emotions, & hence, most Issues, & all negative thinking based Issues as ID’d in back of Book card shown below… & True Self Help, Absolutely, because once Sufferers are Conditioned per Books 1st week’s/1st step in Process, then, who would know more about their negative thoughts than they would?… Yep, Absolutely No One but Themselves/Ourselves ………….. Secondly the Book addresses Importance of Spirituality, indicating Our Faith, Our Foundation, & Our #1 Dependence, which is the Basis of Our Positivity, being at least half the game in Life I say & Know it to be, if you don’t mind calling Life a game … & after the slew of MH Pros I had to deal with in Life, 4xs in psych wards/out-patient care, private sector Pros, it is Clear, they do not bring up as they talk to ya, what about your Faith, what about your Foundation? Wow…! If ya Know anything about Mental Health you would Know the Truth of what is written, being controversial this day and age…So Yes, in Sum, Controversial, & hence there will definitely be some inappropriate reviews which will surface, such as the 1 star review, which was the last review written to date against This… So, it is Important to look below the surface of such matters when judging reviews, or the Book for oneself, & acknowledge any existing comments made, which are not currently shown on main Book site when reviews are initially brought up… But Google search does provide the appropriate display, per this link: https://www.amazon.com/RISE-SHINE-Anxiety-Depr…/…/1499010036 ….. “I firmly believe there is a need to believe in a Higher Power in our lives. Need to identify up front that I am Christian, so I refer to our Higher Power as God, and our Savior as Jesus Christ.  Other Religions may have a different name for their Higher Power and may not have a Religious Being that parallels Jesus Christ; that, I am not certain of.  So please, if you practice your Faith through a different Religion, while reading through this Book, then make the associated switch to the name of your Higher Power,  and it should be fitting for you as well.  If you are not sure of, or have doubts about the basis of your Faith, then consider the Christian Way consistent with the way this Book is written; sure is Doing It for me :)… Yeah, I do know what the Bible says, but I always wanted to Lure and not Discriminate nor Drive People away from this Book’s stated Matters/Considerations.  In effect, this is written and consistent with the 2nd most important commandment in the Bible: Love Our Neighbors as Ourselves…  There are Certainly Many Beautiful People who practice their Faith through different Religions and Belief Systems, indicative of what Morgan Freeman’s Story of God series addresses.  All that I can say is, I am not the JUDGE/MASTER, and understand that Only God Knows how we all will fair, when all is Said and Done.”

COMMENTS:

Like I said the most difficult paragraph to write in the Book… But  Yes, I am Christian & will never sway or swerve & like I said I know what the Bible says but I did not want to push Non-Christians away from Book’s stated Matters/Considerations considering what the Bible says about Christian Beliefs/Jesus… I.E…. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, & Life, meaning Jesus Is our Only Conduit  to God/Heaven at Life’s end as humans.  Unfortunately,  there are misleading statements in this paragraph considering Christian Beliefs which I was never completely comfortable with but always had Good intent to bring this Book (written in a Christian way) to others.  Such as:

  • “Other Religions may have a different name for their Higher Power and may not have a Religious Being that parallels Jesus Christ; that, I am not certain of.”vs.  Jesus Son of God, being One & Only in Christian Beliefs & Truth…

Relaxation Routine… 1st step in Conditioning Individual per Positivity Process… to Calm down the Mind & Body… allowing Us to respond to Our Inner voice… precursor to Patience… (10/12/19)

5.3   You Need to Learn and Implement Proper Relaxation techniques Daily   (Partial shown)

Sufferers of Anxiety and Depression are typically over-reactive individuals who often rush through their lives, for no valid reason really.  We need to train ourselves to be able to live our daily lives, staying calm and control of our emotions, pacing ourselves and slowing down, and underreacting to situations and negatives in Life as opposed to over-reacting to them.  These character qualities lead to an inner peace which we all strive to achieve in Life.

The first step in achieving a relaxed state of mind and eventual patience is to learn relaxing techniques to control our breathing and muscle tension/relaxation.  We also need to implement daily Relaxation self-talk to calm us down as needed. (NOTE: Daily Relaxation section 5.2 not provided in this post)

The relaxation routine is recommended to be done, when you wake up in the morning and before going to bed during the recovery process through most of the recovery period.  Although, a third time mid-day, is suggested during the early stages of recovery if you are a significant sufferer (as addressed in the respective Training sections).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This YouTube session cuts off prematurely but is almost complete.  It stops during the Muscle tension/relaxation routine of the neck and does not include the routine for the jaw area.  The Part 2 link below has the final part of the jaw area routine but has a missing segment.  Actually this is a good thing.  From what I have learned, rolling the neck completely around in circles, which may be interpreted from the YouTube session, would not be a good thing for your neck.  So at the end of the URL session above, continue with the muscle tension/relaxation session per the italicized and underlined text below (below the Actions/Training (BLOG POST NOTE: Actions/Training section not provided in Blog post) where I identify the approach for Moving up to the Neck, and Moving to the jaw area. 

When initially doing your Relaxation sessions you will be asked to use Lucinda’s YouTube Relaxation session (e.g. use your computer with headphones) along with this addition.  When you listen to this routine you will get a flavor for the flow of the session so you should be able to readily include that short italicized and underlined session below to complete it with no real complications.  Please don’t beat yourself up trying to get it exactly right in the beginning.  Just ease into it since you don’t want to do more harm than good here. Regardless, you will eventually want to come up with your own Relaxation session so that you will not need to depend on any media to cycle through it.

During the initial phases of Recovery, it is best to cycle through the relaxation session (3) times a day, but do it at least twice a day (i.e. in the morning before starting off the day, and at night prior to going to bed).  It is best to lie down when you are going through this Relaxation routine for the morning, and night time sessions.  As far as your midday session, get in a comfortable seated or reclined position.  Note that the recommendation for (3) times a day is geared to those most afflicted with A & D.  If you are not a significant sufferer from A & D, I suggest you do this at least in the mornings when you wake up as I do; this allows you to kick off the day on the right foot, in a calming and soothing manner. If you have any trouble sleeping I suggest you do the Relaxation routine, at night as well, before going to bed.

In Lucinda’s Attacking Anxiety and Depression program, she explains certain things about the relaxation sessions, and how it helps you.  “You may have to get used to instructive relaxation.  Give yourself time to get comfortable with it.  By practicing you relaxation exercise in thoughtful, meditative repetition, you will condition your mind and body to respond appropriately to your inner voice.”  It may take some time to get used to using and being comfortable incorporating these relaxation tools and techniques but that is “perfectly normal”.  So stick with them because it is extremely important in your strides to get better.  It “will help you to become comfortable with relaxing, both mentally and physically.  Many of us with anxiety either forgot or never learned how to truly step in to the present moment and relax.  The relaxation media was designed to help and create and learn to access that peaceful, loving environment within yourself.”

Once you get comfortable and familiar with the relaxation tape/media, you will be able to cycle through the breathing and muscle relaxation techniques, and taking your imagined mental journey on your own.  You will likely personalize it, in your own way, making it most appeasing and beneficial to you, while incorporating your chosen self-talk.

I personally still cycle through Breathing and Muscle Relaxation, mentally, during my early morning daily calibration routine I call it :).  I also include various mental Spiritual/Mindful (ref: section 4) journeys as well during these morning calibration sessions.

Again, what stems from this relaxation routine, which is a new habit we are forming, is a more relaxed and calm demeanor which is a huge part of the formula for recovery from A & D and staying there!

Move up to the neck area: This is a 4 step neck motion tension/relaxation exercise (Avoid rotating your head/neck clockwise or counterclockwise; from what I have learned, this is not good for your neck): 

Pull your head back from neutral position and tense up neck for a count of 3 (1001, 1002, 1003) then saying/thinking, “Pressure and tension in my neck”, and then release the pressure and then say/think, “Relax –release of pressure through my neck and shoulders” and feel the release of the pressure 

Pull your head forward and tense up neck for that count of 3 (1001, 1002, 1003) then saying/thinking, “Pressure tension in my neck”, and then release the pressure and then say/think, “Relax –release of pressure through my neck” and feel the release of the pressure 

Neutralize head/neck 

Move head toward one shoulder and tense up for that count of 3 (1001, 1002, 1003), then saying/thinking, “Pressure tension in my neck and shoulder”, and then release the pressure and then say/think, “Relax –release of pressure through my neck and shoulder” and feel the release of the pressure 

Move head toward your other shoulder and tense up for that count of 3 (1001, 1002, 1003), then saying/thinking, “Pressure tension in my neck and shoulder”, and then release the pressure and then say/think, “Relax –release of pressure through my neck and shoulder” and feel the release of the pressure

Move up to the jaw area:  With mouth slightly opened/agate tense up and hold maintaining pressure in your upper and lower jaw for that count of 3 and then say/think Pressure tension in my face/jaw, then release pressure saying/thinking, Relax, I have a Positive warm soothing energy flowing through my whole body, through my neck, and into my jaw.
