Important Considerations regarding One’s Present   A & D condition (or related), upfront conditioning needs, and Use of this Book…(10/02/19)

This is subsequent to 1.0 Introduction/Rationale section which Clearly addresses the make-up of this True Self-Helper & Why This Process Is So Important for Anyone really: 

1.1. Important Considerations regarding One’s Present   A & D condition, and Use of this Book.

Please note that this Self-Study Life Management Instruction and Tool Book is for individuals who are fully capable of reading and comprehending things regardless of potential problems they currently may be having with Anxiety and Depression.  In case you currently are having trouble with reading and comprehending appropriately, then Please consider the following options if/as applicable:

  1. Contact me at RonnyLG123@gmail.com, and I will try to respond promptly, to initially work with you and help guide you (with no expected fees in return –Seriously!). Depending on your situation, upfront coaching is sometimes necessary before you can start working this on your own.   If you are reluctant about contacting me, which should never be the case, it is suggested to start listening to the Relaxation Media (i.e. the 2 links provided in section 5.3.1, or purchase from iTunes or Amazon (MP3 download) if desired), and read the corresponding section 5.3.1 text Only; this would be the only time and only jump ahead section that I would ever recommend up front (Period) unless maybe if I communicated matters with you directly.  This Relaxation media will help calm the mind and body to an extent that may help you begin the process to read and comprehend this material.  And if this works  and you are feeling better and calmer, and feel okay to continue, then please read the whole Book from start to finish starting from the beginning; continue to use the Relaxation media. In case you are Significantly Struggling and 1) does not really feel like an option for you, then I urge you to order Lucinda Bassett’s Attacking Anxiety and Depression Program; refer to sections 1.5, and 1.9 if you care to or just get on-line and order their free introductory CD. Sorry, but in order to cover the bases on thoughts one could possibly have on planet earth :), in no way do I work for or have I ever worked for Lucinda, or her Program/Center (Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety, Inc.), so I assure you this is not a secondary advertising attempt or gimmick. I really just care and know what would be best for you.  Guess what path I had to follow, when I was truly at Rock Bottom in my Life?  Written material alone was not good enough since I was so desperate, anxious, and perplexed, and I was not really in a state of mind to be able to read or comprehend things in my A & D saturated mind.  Of course, I did not have this Book in hand.  But even if I did, as bad as I was feeling, I would likely have fallen into this category 2), and ordered Lucinda’s (Midwest Center’s) program which is consistent with the fact the “Attacking Anxiety and Depression Program” was geared to and was advertised for those most afflicted.

Please NOTE though: If you go this route, as you proceed through her program and start feeling better, which I certainly know will be the case if you consistently and diligently work it, it is still suggested to go through this Book, which again, has Additional Key Supplemental Information that can only Help.  Based on what I have learned through the many years of my Life (62 years now), I strongly feel section 4 material is paramount in Solidifying ones Recovery, Well Being, and Peace of Mind which is everyone’s goal in Life.  Besides, section 4 matters (… allowing Our Faith to Grow with age),  just may turn out to be at times, our primary means to appropriately cope with Very Difficult situations whether matters stack up within, or outside of our control.  At times, our Positivity which we can develop extensively via the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process, can only take us so far, until we reach that threshold within us, when we likely need More (i.e. Our Faith…) to Help; help from another human is very much limited.

I included Positive self-talk that I found to be Very Important in my recovery and everyday Living. This included merging Positivity self-talk together with section 4 elements, as addressed in section 4.4, empowering the self-talk statements and Ourselves, as we talk to ourselves :).  Additionally I included those mistakes I made, when I initially jumped into the program… mistakes you do not want to repeat (Believe Me!).  Subsequent to Recovery and Self-Improvement, this Book would satisfy your needs for as required refreshers, which certainly can be very beneficial at times in Life!

3) Please understand, A & D can become Life Threatening for some as I can personally attest to if one gets Deeply Depressed:

!!!THIS IS A VERY CRITICAL NOTE!!!: If you are at a point where you feel you may harm yourself and truly think you really will do this when thinking about it and challenging it, with a plan in mind, PLEASE, SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP IMMEDIATELY!!!  In such a case this would likely indicate that you are VERY DEPRESSED and would likely need an Anti-Depressant to pick yourself up to a level where you could start working the Cognitive Tools/Skills provided which is Imperative!  Subsequently, you can then Effectively get to the Root of your problems and Permanently Resolve these issues minus the Meds (ultimately) which you definitely need to do; medication trail is not the answer (ref: section 3.1)   But at this juncture, you seriously need a med pick-up since your brain’s chemistry has been significantly altered due to the prolonged A & D condition/state.  Please, Please take it from me because I have been at that level a couple times!

After reading this, if you have decided you are okay and desire to continue to go through this Book on your own, then go back and read the Book in its entirety.”


Such Is Life, if we Struggle Significantly, Sadly & Unfortunately … But it is Amazing How We Can Turn It Around if Willing to Educate and Work on Ourselves!!!

Importance of Combining Book’s Optimum Positivity Tools/Skills Process (Only Psychology We Need to Know), with Our Foundation, Our Faith, & #1 Dependence cannot be understated… (9/17/19)

Book’s Paragraphs below are included in Book’s sections Preface/Summary, 1.0 Introduction/Rationale & sections 4.1, & 4.4.  These paragraphs shown, unless otherwise noted, are repeated Once in these Book sections (not below), for IMPORTANT Reasons… i.e. Repetition of Important material in the Training Process is Essential for a Sufferer which serves as the means for  reprogramming of the mind in essence, from e.g. a negative mindset to a Positive mindset…  Exceptions include a few paragraphs added only in section 4 as addressed; this just seemed more fitting at the time when writing  those few paragraphs which are more in depth per what section 4 is all about…  All these Paragraphs Rationalize/ Clarify the Importance of Combining the Positivity Process in the Book Together with section 4, Our Foundation, Our Faith, & #1 Dependence. 

NOTE/Quick Summation:  You will read that I personally Needed the Positivity Tools/Skills Process up front to Save My Life to allow me to break out of the negative shell I was consumed with that would have killed me if I did not come across that radio station in 2002… I Just Could Not Get Past all that negativity which Consumed me without This Process… In meantime I was going to Church, hoping & Praying that all this Anxiety, Depression, OCD, & whatever else Professionals would have tagged me with these days (e.g. likely ADD, ADHD, & who knows BPD?), would just leave me, but that did not necessarily Help me Directly (… Indirectly… Probably So, as Things Often happen for a Reason :)). So I Certainly Needed the Positivity Process to initially Clear up my mind,  allowing me to appropriately Connect with all that surrounded me, including God… As I say in the Book, the Positivity Process Definitely serves as a Stepping Stone or Enhancement of Faith…! As I progressed & continued to Allow my Faith to Grow with age, I found as you will find, A Balance… You’ll be utilizing the Positivity Tools/Skills for matters within Our Control (Our Thoughts & Actions for the Most Part), while realizing & accepting that which we cannot control… Yeah, the Positivity Process allows us to build up Our Positivity Threshold to become as Strong as we can be as humans (Undoubtedly)… And then We will Understand, when matters push past Our Positivity Threshold (as the Book addresses), that is when we understand the necessity during such TRYING times to relinquish control to God (/Jesus if Christian)… Yes You Will Find That Balance! As I Said a Million times it seems, This Combo Is All We Can Do as humans, NATURALLY!Oh, & the Power in Prayer as we Allow Our Faith & Belief to Grow, is Huge but Pretty much Impossible to define The/That “FEEL”!… We All have to go There Ourselves, to Realize THIS…. :)… You will Then Truly Understand why I say in the Book, Our Faith/Foundation is at least half the Game in Life, if we desire to call Life a Game…


(Preface/Summary paragraphs (Italicized) & replicated in 1.0 Introduction/Rationale (Non-Italicized), address the (2)  Main Components of Book in Importance if you did not already know:)

“A Complete Process including Detailed Instructions, and Optimum/Proven Coping Skills & Tools, Unmatched I believe, combining what I Learned from which Saved my Life upfront, plus additional elements provided which absolutely can only Help+, are provided for All. These Tools & Skills are those we were not born with, but we need to Learn.  This Detailed Positivity Process, which also addresses the importance of Exercise & Eating Well (i.e. per section 3), and laughter & :)s, teaches us how to change or reprogram a negative mindset to a Positive mindset to prevent or eliminate significant levels of Anxiety and Depression in Life. More Specifically, this allows us to drill down to our individual negative thoughts/mindset, changing those to Positive thoughts/mindset, and also drilling down to the sources of Our negativity and dealing with that as Best as we can; this personalizes the process for Anyone.  This is the Bottom Line Key to Self-Improvement or Recovery from an Anxiety & Depression perspective.  Besides, a Positive mindset is what it takes to Aspire in Life; most all People believe this by now. This Process is based on the premise & the (Logical) FACT that a negative thought impacts the brain/body chemistry in a bad/negative way, and a Positive thought reverses that, and impacts brain/body chemistry in a Positive way. If this process works for those most afflicted, such as for me, it will work for Anyone!  I am certain there is not anyone who couldn’t get something out of this Book unless they have been fully educated on these matters, and more importantly, have experienced all this.  Take it from someone who has been Living and breathing this for 40 years now actually; and believe me a lot of those years up front, felt like it was 24 hours a day. Why for Anyone, is further explained in the 1st paragraph of the Introduction/Rationale (section 1.).  

Additionally, this Book goes One Big Step further, addressing what I and many Others believe, is Necessary to Solidify Recovery (or Improvement) from Our Anxieties & Depression, and then Solidify Our Well Being (i.e. Our Positivity and Peace of Mind). This allows us the potential to achieve True Peace of Mind/Tranquility through Life, Living Comfortably in an imperfect world (Everyone’s Goal!).  When we become Positive Thinking People via the Key Tools and Skills Process included in this Book, which Is Crucial for People to appropriately deal with their earthly problems, especially for significant sufferers from Anxiety and Depression, we then become more Clear In Thought and More Apt to See and Sense What Really Is Important in Life; and that Should Include Our Belief System/Spirituality/God (addressed in section 4 of this Book).  When we acknowledge, per my and many other People’s Beliefs (hopefully), that without God, there would be absolutely nothing, including Ourselves, all the Animals and Wildlife, and this Ecologically Perfect World we were born into…  well, that pretty much sums it up and validates it … doesn’t  it, or shouldn’t it :)?  Unless of course, we believe in the Big Bang theory where, I guess, that belief is based on some state of entropy or something where All This including Ourselves, just miraculously by luck/chance, came into being and ended up this way ((?:)).  For those who are not sure, I ask you… did All of This come from nothing at all, or from Something rather SPECIAL :)? If you’re thinking from something Special, you are on the Right Track :)! … When we work on our Positivity via the Tools, Skills, and Instruction set specifically addressed in this Book, together with Our Faith (section 4), then I Firmly Believe this is as Good as we can do for ourselves as human beings on planet Earth, providing us that potential to achieve that True Peace of Mind through Life. 

This Combination of what it takes, allows us to appropriately cope under Very Difficult situations whether matters stack up within or outside of our control.  At times, our Positivity which we can develop extensively/beautifully via the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process, can only take us so far, until we reach that threshold within us, past the burden we can bare, when we need More (i.e. Our Faith…); unfortunately, help from another human is very much limited.   I have grown to know this from firsthand experience, with some of those (very) down times.  Considering an example of an Extreme case of the combination of PTSD, and subsequent Addiction (to alcohol), Faith was the only answer for Louis Zamperini! His biography is written in the Book“Unbroken”, addressing this, which is also addressed fully in the sequel to the movie “Unbroken”, entitled,“Unbroken: Path to Redemption”.

Additional rationale supporting the Importance and Need to Combine the included Positivity Tools & Skills Process with Our Faith, involves the synonymous nature of doing this when compared to those 12 Step Programs and their approach to deal with addictions (for alcohol or drugs).  These programs have been around since 1939, and to this day are considered to be the Best Approach in Dealing with addictions.  The basis of these 12 step programs involve the Best Approach steps necessary for the People to rid themselves of their specific addictions,  and combining this with the Needs for Belief in a Power Greater than Us; and that is Belief in God Ultimately. So, when Combining Our Belief in God with the included Detailed Cognitive/Behavioral Modification Approach, which I Am Convinced to be the Best Means to Resolve Our Problems with negativity, or Resolve Our addiction to negativity which it is in a sense, especially if we are significant sufferers with Anxiety and Depression, sums up and Validates my Complete Understanding (and gut feeling) that in a True Self-Help Book form, It Can’t Get Any Better.”

“Continuing to reflect further on the importance of the interdependency of the included Positivity Tools & Skills Process, and section 4 material, Our Belief System/Spirituality (& Mindfulness) provides what I believe is Essential for Us to develop a Solid Foundation/Core with Good/Solid Standards, Values, & Integrity, helping us become Good/Solid & Positive People through Life.  Without a Strong Foundation/Core, then I don’t believe it would be possible to appropriately build-up Our Positive Selves, and be Internally Strong People in the long run (i.e. with a weakened Foundation/Core). Besides, Our Faith/Our Foundation provides the basis of Our Positivity…You know how it is when we do the Right Things in Life … Well, that makes us feel Good and Positive, and if we Don’t (do the Right Things), we Don’t (feel Good nor Positive)!

The Positivity Tools & Skills Process essentially teaches us the importance of being and Living through Life with Love, Patience, Humility, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Joy, and Honesty to Best Deal with our negativity, and hence, our Anxieties, and Depression. And there are probably other Positive characteristics that are not coming to mind now while writing this.   Now, these are the same character qualities that are emphasized within the Bible on how we should operate as People/ Christians in Life.  I am not going to address any specific and related Biblical verses that apply to these characteristic qualities, but if interested, go on-line and do a google search on “Bible verses on…”, these qualities mentioned (Honesty, Love, Patience, Humility, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Joy, and Honesty).  Well, when I did this, I do not have a specific verse count for these respective character qualities, but for all these attributes the verse count was at least 70 for 5 of 7 of those attributes … and for Joy (40+), and Honesty (50+).  Positively Interesting, Huh :)?  Another Positive aspect regarding the included Positivity Tools & Skills Process is, this Process could provide the impetus or incentive to some People, to Help them to possibly begin the process to build up, or amend their Foundation/Core, which as addressed, is Essential. Yes, the parallels are Very Strong and that is one key reason why combining the Positivity Tools/Skills Process along with section 4 matters (Our Faith/Our Foundation), for Personal Improvement or Recovery from Our Issues, is So Effective.  By the way, I am Christian but I do not discriminate against any Faith or Religion; briefly go to section 4.1, and read the 1st paragraph which addresses this matter well…

Furthermore, the Positivity Tools/Skills Process does complement/supplement the Bible, addressing How Best we can take care of Ourselves, based on our Biological and Physiological makeup as humans, not covered within the Bible.  Examples of this includes: Importance of Exercise, Eating well, :)s/laughter… how to breathe Best as humans … how to deal with our worries as Best we can, dealing with those worries of today, and not the worries of tomorrow or thereafter, as addressed in the Bible (in Matthew).  Likely other complementary relationships exist but those are not coming to mind as I’m writing this.  But you get the idea… So Collectively, another reason why this Combo is So Powerful! 

Another factor rationalizing why combine the Positivity Process with Our Faith/Our Foundation … Doesn’t it seem when battling Our negative thoughts, as numerous numbers of those crop up,  we eventually think or realize… well, there are those negative thoughts that seem to be just trivial, ridiculous, and truly meaningless really, but are bothersome nonetheless …  But then, there are those other more troubling negative thoughts which crop up, or maybe a barrage of negative thoughts occurring at times, which we could swear, are Evil based or something like that, amounting to this negativity that is really trying to bring us way down.… I used to refer to that source of negativity as the saboteur within me !!??  Now, I feel this could be more (Evil) than that, but who knows…(?) Sufferers, I think you know what I am talking about here … Well I go into this a bit more in section 4, for Very Good reasons :)!

Very Religious/Spiritual people often believe Faith alone is all that is necessary to shed one from Significant levels of Anxiety and Depression.  I believe for some that could be true.  Regardless, I am Pretty Darn Sure their situation could improve if they were to combine their Faith, with the included Positivity Tools & Skills Process to better deal with their day to day earthly issues, considering the realms of Life here on planet Earth, and the resultant negativity and Anxiety and Depression that All will have to deal with sometime in Life; A & D does not discriminate against Anyone!  As a minimum, I seriously think the included Positivity Process (or partial), would serve to put more Smiles on their faces (and within), and would enhance their Well Being and Positivity.  As far as the influence of Spirituality on One’s Positivity, Our Faith/Our Foundation is the basis of Our Positivity. We all should know how that works … When we do the Right things in Life, we typically feel Good and Positive, and when we don’t, we Absolutely Don’t!  In my case, I always did or always tried to do the Right things, but I had all that irrationality in thought, & negativity +, along with all the pains of Anxiety/Depression issues going on, which consumed me and dragged me down.

Now, for those busy minded, negative thinking People out there, and I certainly was one that fit that category to the Nth degree, it is imperative we do Learn and Work such a Positivity Process in order to get and stay Positive.  This subsequently Maximizes Our Ability To Reap the Benefits of Our Spirituality and Faith, as we become clear of mind seeing past all that negativity.  For those who experience significant levels of Anxiety and Depression, the included approach allows us to readily deflate our negativity so it does not result in a domino effect of more negativity, day to day, hour after hour, and yeah, even minute after minute, as it can get, which can seriously Impact and Control Our Lives.

I do understand it is an Individual matter, when considering the extent of the Positivity Tools/Skills Process needs in dealing with Anxiety & Depression (or related). The more negativity and the deeper the Anxiety/Depression holes an individual may find themselves in, the more the Needs for such a Positivity Process to turn matters around.  As you will read in the Introduction/Rationale, the first young lady I came across, who completely blew me away when I witnessed the Huge Positive Impacts the Book (in the 2nd edition form) had on her (with Book in hand only), was a Significant A & D sufferer and was Very Spiritual for her age (early 20s); in truth, I don’t think I ever met someone more Spiritual than she seemed at that young age… I thought She was all So Very Special and Golden (!) …  But Yes, she desperately needed the Book’s Education and the Positivity Tools/Skills Process to turn matters around for her; just like it was for me.  As for myself, when I suffered terribly, I guess I could have been considered maybe average on the spiritual side of things, and you know how my story goes…  On the flip side, for those who naturally have a more Positive mindset, and with lower levels of Anxiety/Depression going on, relying on Faith alone could satisfy their needs to keep them out of those very deep holes of pain with significant A & D levels.  Nonetheless, there is No Doubt, unless an individual is fully educated and experienced on these matters, that they would not Positively Benefit from this; and that could be Significantly with some effort put forth.  And hope all do believe, we have to Work hard on Ourselves in/through Life, since this is what Life is all about, granted we have the desire to have a relatively Joyous/Pleasant Life here on Earth; who wouldn’t want to feel this way?

In case an individual was to Work the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, minus any considerations of section 4 matters of Belief/Faith or in their make-up, early on I would think  things would likely work out somewhat okay for them.  However, in the long run, without having some level of Faith in a Higher Power, nor a Good/Solid Foundation (Factors which typically could be mutually inclusive), then I would think it would just be a matter of time before One’s initial Positivity spike which would likely be sensed, would start to subside/diminish, along with the onset of increased levels of negativity.  So if an individual’s Way/Attitude, and what they say and do are inappropriate, defiling that individual,  then I don’t think it would be too long before he or she were to crash and burn (… just a saying but maybe literally in a sense). …  Based on human emotions and all, how strong can a human really be deep down inside, male or female?  For Anyone, I would think, eventually there would be some level of dependence on something or someone, for support, although, dependence on another human can only go so far and is very much limited… So personally, I just can’t imagine not having Faith in Our Higher Power in Life (…allowing Our Faith to Grow with age), especially during Very Difficult & Trying times when matters fall outside of Our Control!  I Certainly Know this first hand now, based on a more recent down time I experienced.

For the average Individual, if your Faith is Good & Strong, then you likely would be doing pretty good or okay in Life.  But yet, dealing with negativity could still be a bit of a challenge, or maybe more so, living in this rather negative world/society we live in these days. So Yes, Learning the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process would educate Anyone, on how to fine tune their Game Plan in Life, in dealing with everyday negativity, and enhance their Positivity.  And if there are areas of susceptibility one comes across in the Book, where the individual could use some shoring up on, then Yes, the identified repetitive training of those areas could Certainly Help!  Look at it this way… the included Positivity Process, could only Improve One’s Well Being, increasing the Positivity threshold on how Positive we can get… This would just make for Better Days or Moments along the way in Life, and would strengthen the individual, making them more resilient under those trying times/conditions, and allowing them to bare their own burden under heavier loads; in other words, making for more Happy/Peaceful moments and days…

I do often refer to the Positivity Tools/Skills Process (i.e. Book’s majority in page count only) to be a Stepping Stone, or an Enhancement of Faith!  This Process would allow negative thinking Individuals a Quicker Path to allow One’s Faith to Grow, as we put those Positivity Tools/Skills in the Book in play, Clearing Up Our minds from all the negative clutter, and allowing Our Thoughts to be Clear.  Isn’t it understood, when we are Positive vs. negative, and we are Clear of Mind, Our Connection to Everything in and around us just seems to be So Much Better vs. when we are negative? Of Course it does or is, needless to say!  Hence, this Positivity Process does allow our Connection with the “Big Picture” (God), to become Stronger and Stronger, and Deeper and Deeper as we progress!  This is Certainly what I experienced…! 

It is really a matter of Righteous Living which I Strongly Believe is Necessary for Our Positive Well Being here on Earth!  Some believe, as long as we Believe, then we will get to Heaven no matter what mistakes we make or how often we make them.  Not sure about those who keep on doing the same unrighteous things in Life, time and time again, not Improving any, nor Trying to Amend matters (?)… Nonetheless, if that statement does hold True, then for those going through Life that way … Life here on Earth in the meantime would likely not be very pleasant, as you’d likely be paying the price in many uncomfortable human ways & Pains we all know about.  I think maybe Righteous Living would be the better option :)…

Considering all of what is said above, and what I Know based on all my Experiences, including the bad stuff (through like 40 years of Life), plus, simply put, without the “Big Picture” / Our Higher Power, there would be absolutely nothing at all … this is why I refer to section 4 matters (Our Faith/Our Foundation/Our Higher Power), to be at least half the Game in Life.”

Need to identify up front that I am Christian, so I refer to our Higher Power as God, and our Savior as Jesus Christ.  Other Religions may have a different name for their Higher Power and may not have a Religious Being that parallels Jesus Christ; that, I am not certain of.  So please, if you practice your Faith through a different Religion, while reading through this Book, then make the associated switch to the name of your Higher Power,  and it should be fitting for you as well.  If you are not sure of, or have doubts about the basis of your Faith, then consider the Christian Way consistent with the way this Book is written; sure is Doing It for me :)… Yeah, I do know what the Bible says, but I always wanted to Lure and not Discriminate nor Drive People away from this Book’s stated Matters/Considerations.  In effect, this is written and consistent with the 2nd most important commandment in the Bible: Love Our Neighbors as Ourselves…  There are Certainly Many Beautiful People who practice their Faith through different Religions and Belief Systems, indicative of what Morgan Freeman’s Story of God series addresses.  All that I can say is, I am not the JUDGE/MASTER, and understand that Only God Knows how we all will fair, when all is Said and Done.”

“Yeah, in my case as a Significant Suffer (I was),  I desperately needed a Positivity Punch or Crunch I often call it, since I was so negatively entrenched, and really could not see past all that, especially with all  the corresponding negative body symptoms going on … Anything Worse? No Way!   So there was a Need for the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process up front, at age 46, for survival, and then to really turn matters around. I then merged the Positivity Process with Faith I had at the time, Praying for Improvement, which I truly felt, enhanced my Progress.  Subsequently, with the continued Progress… this was or felt like a Catapult or Enhancement/Stepping Stone of Faith, I often call this, as our thoughts become Clearer and Clearer… Upon pulling out of this negative funk I was in for as long as I could remember, looking Up/Around, & Truly Observing things Clearly for the first time it seemed, the Realization kicked in… Certainly can’t forget about That (“The Big Picture”, or God/Jesus being Christian)!  I was then stoked and motivated … to allow my Faith to Grow More… :)!”

“As we proceed through, and Hopefully acclimate to section 4 of the Book, Repetitive Training definitely comes into play in our personal journey to shore up Our Foundation, and allow Our Faith to Grow;  i.e. via repetitive readings of the Bible/Scriptures etc. (if Christian), and of course Prayer.  This is similar to Repetitive Training needs when learning the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, addressed in section 5 & 6.  And Yes, Prayer is synonymous in a sense, with the Positive self-talk we provide to Ourselves as we proceed through the Process.  When we then inter-mix Our Positivity self-talk with Prayer in statements  we say to ourselves, as I address in section 4.4, per the (4) bulleted self-talk statements provided as examples, this becomes Especially Effective…  So when we include Prayer in the Positive Self-Talk statements to Ourselves, this I believe makes these Self-Talk statements as Powerful as they can be, as we allow Faith to Grow. 

As I’ve aged, having some temporary setbacks/hurdles along the way in Life, and as I allowed my Faith to Grow, I realized the Significant Influence of Our Faith/Our Foundation in dealing with Anxiety/Depression especially when matters fall outside Our Control, or even sometimes in Life when we just get Overwhelmed. Under such circumstances, sometimes after giving it Our Best shot in Trying to handle matters on our own, even with the included Positivity Tools/Skills we’ve learned, we may just feel Overwhelmed … In such a case, just think and go with… Let Go and Let God :)… and tune into that Channel; Serious Power can emanate when doing that and focusing your thoughts on God & Jesus if Christian :)… The Lady I learned from indicated she would divert to “Let Go and Let God”, when she felt overwhelmed at times as well. And that is exactly what I thought and did, per my most recent down time when matters fell outside my control. “

“When considering all of what stated above, besides, the Fact (I Certainly Believe it to be), without the “Big Picture”/God, there would be absolutely nothing at all… this is why I refer to  section 4 (Our Faith/Our Foundation/Our Higher Power), as being at least half the Game of Life! How could I express This any other way?! “

(Section 4.4 Paragraph Additions/Inclusions (not repeated)):

“Regarding the Big Picture: I think a Real Good Way to start seeing and feeling this from an individual perspective, is, first of all go out and look up and around and notice what was provided to us without those cell phones in hand (as previously mentioned)!  Be Gracious and Appreciative of all that was provided to us.  Tune into that YouTube link on Gratitude, included towards the end of section 7!  Additionally, I suggest you add the following words to those Positive statements that you say to yourself when you go through the process of Improvement, or Recovery, or Post Recovery: ……“Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus & Have Faith & Trust!”.  And remember, God and Jesus is within each one of us, so Having Faith & Trust means Having Faith in God/Jesus and Ourselves.  (4) Cases in point, per the listing of the Positives that we want to say to ourselves in our Daily lives (ref: section 6.16), to make for a Good if not a Great day: 

  • Look for the Good, the Pluses, and the Positives in anything, everything, anybody, everybody, anytime and all the time Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus & Have Faith & Trust!. This does not mean you need to always see the Good, but just keep on looking for it … and again Have Faith & Trust :)! 
  • Feel the Excitement, Energy, and Enthusiasm of Life with Child Like Exuberance and Enthusiasm, Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus (& Have Faith & Trust!). 
  • Live in the Present moment, make the most of the moments and enjoy the Special Moments with Child-Like Exuberance and Enthusiasm, Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus (& Have Faith & Trust!). 
  • Positives, Positives, Positives — Emanate Positive Energy and Good Feelings no matter what, and no matter how I feel within reason,  if I can, when I can, the Best I can, Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus (& Have Faith & Trust!). 

If you can lock into a section 4 related Belief system as you become a Positive thinker, then such Positive self-talk could feel so Good and Uplifting for Anyone really,.  It sure does for me, but it is a matter of not only just saying the words, but Feeling Those Words (from the Heart).  Allowing your Faith to Grow enhances your ability to Feel this way; this I am Completely Convinced of, but words can’t explain That Feel, or How Exactly To Get There, other than the need for True Belief!   I have been saying and Feeling these Positive statements regularly for quite some time now, and it just feels all so Good, Positive, and Real….. Because It Is :)!!”

“I am Certain, when we battle Deep Depression as I have, the Power in Something Much Bigger than us, is a Huge factor in the Process to help deal with such matters in Our Lives, when coupled with the Positivity Tools/Skills Process.  What Definitely Helps, as I’ve learned, are those (4) Positivity self-talk statements intermixed with Prayer mentioned above, as we allow Our Faith to Grow… Doing this just seems to double up on How Powerful they can be when dealing with Our Issues.  

In fact, I formulated those (4) bulleted Positivity/Prayer statements above, when I was going through a Significant Depressive time in my Life early on, prior to generating the Original publication.  I was definitely in a Bad way at the time… I just remember when I kept saying/thinking those words during those times, things really started turning around for me Positively, pulling me out of the mud …  Previously, I was working Positivity statements which I had learned by that time, but that alone did not seem to cut it in that state of mind I was in.  I Needed Additional (!), and that is when I felt the need to lean more on/into my Faith…  That was What I Needed!  I Knew by then, no way in hell I was going to go with that medication garbage (!); hmmm fitting words :)!  That made it Very Clear, the Importance & Power of tying Our Positive Statements in with Prayer (Faith), especially when in Recovery from Depression (at the very least for me as I felt at times).  But Yes, I found providing such self-talk to myself, seems to be Effective all the time. And an FYI for ya … I do often end those end of Positivity/Prayer statements now with, “….. Totally aligning myself with Your Principles God & Jesus that I learn from the Bible”.  

The Importance of Faith in dealing with Issues, Certainly does not apply to me Only, needless to say… How Often have We heard from So Many who have gone through some Seriously Difficult & Tough/Rock Bottom times with e.g. Addictions, Depression, or other, where the Common Denominator for Recovery was Their Faith #1…  How SO TRUE as I Felt It and Lived It myself first hand, especially when matters fall outside Our Control.  As previously mentioned, you may want to Read “Unbroken” (a terrific Overall Book!), or see the “Unbroken” sequel “Unbroken: Path to Redemption”, which addresses an extreme case where Faith ultimately Saved The Life of Louis Zamparini, who suffered, understandably and terribly, with PTSD, and consequently, alcoholism.”

Book in Hand Positive Impacts Witnessed/Witnessing, has been Impressive, to even Life Savings; 100%, 4 for 4 Significant Successes seen + Others not to mention but mentioned… (updated 5/5/20)

Below FYI is what shared before 5/5/20.  This does bring in additional insight regarding the 3/3/20 Book reviewer in the blue above… And below that I share related text from the Book concerning some People I did come across earlier in time & the Huge Impacts I witnessed…

Currently Helping Individual fielding some questions etc. on Book… A Dad of 3 youngins … an Exec… Owner of a Business…. But he has been Suffering Big time with Anxiety & Depression for a solid 3 1/2 months he mentions, but really thru the years as it was for me… He was also diagnosed with OCD…He got a freebie Ebook giveaway during the Holidays I do at times…. He finally contacted me after getting it since he was going thru therapy with a Dr./PHD, focusing in on that, but then he got to a very low he said… But now after talking to him some, He is Locked in and YES, Diligently READING & Working on Himself with Book in Hand… Book is Completely Self-Explanatory, & TRUE Self-Help. 2 weeks in, he just finished section 5.2 … The Initial Conditioning Loaded 1st week’s step… From that training alone, his wife had  told him “I really Like the New You!” …  I told him, sounds good but really you will find Recovery is 2 steps forward & 1 step back… He understands that now :). 

I have been providing up front Encouragement/ Cheer Leading, which is the only coaching necessary, as this True Self-Help Book he is Working from is Complete & Covers All… He just completed all of section 5 comprising the Conditioning & Basic/Key Tools/Skills per the Positivity Process, & he no longer needs any more Encouragement from me, since he is Locked in and Excited about continuing this Process, & hence is now Self Motivated … He Knows this is the Solution, as I Certainly did as well, when I was going thru the Process years back. Upfront Helping hand provided was Important since he was in a very dark place for like 3 1/2 months he said, as he had been apparently dealing with a PHD/Psychiatrist/Therapist for like 5 or 6 years to no avail and found himself in a pretty deep hole… Considering he just completed the first 4 weeks of training (by the Book), & he has about 8 more weeks to go to Completion, he is doing SOOO GOOD ! I Couldn’t be more Pleased for him as I Know He Is Going to Fly with this, as I did !!! When I talked to him 2/29/20,  I could really sense the Changes going on within him, already being more confident/secure in his demeanor… It was pretty obvious & So Cool ! Yeah, before long he will be providing a Good Solid + Review. Alls I Know, 100% for those who  had the Willingness/Desire to Educate/Read (this Book) & Work on themselves,  the Positive Impacts witnessed were Huge to Life Savings actually… It is now 4 for 4 with Book in Hand… This is not to mention the Life Savings impacts this had on my Son (Bipolar type 2 “Meds for Life the Pros said, but is off all the MEDS & doing Beautifully) & I (diagnosed with A & D & OCD Worse Case for 25 yrs, to now couldn’t do any better as a human :))… This is a True Measure, Effectiveness & Substance of the Process I Learned from and, & even more so  the Book and what it has Grown to be, providing Full Positivity Tools/Skills Instruction set & Details per what Learned & Key Additions applied, besides the All Important Sect. 4 … Our Faith, Our Foundation/ Our #1 Dependence & the Basis of Our Positivity… Book merges Positivity Tools/Skills together with Our Faith including combining the two aspects in All Important, All Powerful Positivity/Prayer Statements, which become such as Work on the Positivity Process & Our Faith… Section 4 is a Personal Journey but address what I do to allow Faith to Appropriately Grow… i.e. Read a New Testament Chapter Daily together with a “Jesus Always” Sarah Young Daily Devotional Book… Oh, I am Christian but do not discriminate against any Faith or Religion as written in Spirituality section 4.1 First paragraph (Blog Post provides: https://riseandshineanxietydepression.net/2020/02/14 .

One key point to address up front here is, as you will read below, the 1st Young Lady I got the Book to (in a 2nd Edition form), who provided my 1st Amazon review (dated : 9/1/15… You can read that per first link provided above), was Very Spiritual at a young age, but suffered Terribly with A & D for Understandable reasons… She Definitely needed the Positivity Tools/Skills Process to crack open that negative shell that can consume an individual, as was the case for me as well, & similarly the Gent I am currently dealing with, who has rather strong Spiritual/Religious ties. Regardless, section 4 of my Book being at least half the Game in Life, if you consider Life a Game, is a Must, since Gots to have that Strong Foundation/FAITH & Dependence on Our Higher Power to Solidify all matters concerning Our Well Being & Positivity!  Without that Strong Foundation, the Positivity Tools/Skills can just take you so far for so long, & then likely Troubles will raise it’s ugly head, as was the case for my Son who took quite a long time to Truly Acknowledge sect. 4’s Importance… Now He is Locked In, and again doing Beautifully :)!

Paragraph in 1. Introduction/Rationale addressing Positive Impacts with Book in hand only for (3) individuals…:

“As far as impacts of the Book with Book in hand only for People I have personally witnessed, I have seen Tremendous Positive results +, and Yes even to the extent of being Life Saving while living at an apartment complex a while back.  This was a rather social environment around the pool area, and I swam pretty much every day (the luxury of living in CA :)), keeping those endorphins a swimming/flowing :).  I did get to know a number of People there… By the time I left the complex to live elsewhere, where I am now, some were calling me the mayor for whatever reason :), probably because of my frequency in the pool/Jacuzzi, and my many grey hairs :); otherwise, not sure why (?)…  I was just being me … Anyway, Seriously, for Everyone I know who received my Book, and who did obviously Read and Work It, based on the before vs. after reactions/demeanor changes I witnessed, the Positive Impacts were Impressive ++!  To see the initial Power of this TRUE Self-Help Book (per the 2nd and 3rd Editions), in the hands of two Young Ladies I came across, after about 2 1/2 months (ironically), from when initially getting the Book in both cases, not knowing how quickly they began working it, Validated Everything about its Effectiveness and why I wrote this Book!  I Was Absolutely Blown Away :) twice over as things went!  One of those Ladies provided their review on Amazon (dated 9/1/2015).  As for this Young Lady, seeing her Improve ++ from having Significant levels of Anxiety and Depression for very understandable reasons, to having all this Positivity, Confidence, and Assertive nature towards people in her Life she had to be Assertive with (!) … well I really kind of lost it in the most Positive way :) … lost a lot of water that day and I had to reach way down to grab my heart it seemed, and put it back in place… Yeah, again, this did Absolutely Blow Me Away ++!! As for the other 20 something year old Lady, there were similarities in Confidence and Positivity (besides how she was carrying herself) coming from her as well. But to see her in that state following that time period, after we (with help from assistant manager), had to call the paramedics on her due to an apparent suicide in works (her body temp was 93-94 deg F), likewise Blew Me Away!…  I Am and Felt So Humbled and Beyond! But, it is entirely up to the individual to put the work forth, doing the repetitive training, to reap the Benefits from this Education which can be nothing short of Tremendous, and to stick with it, since it is a way of Life, for Life, in how we operate and react to things!  Besides, gots to have Our Faith :)! I do address a couple more cases witnessed at the apartment complex I lived at, on the Amazon site for the Book as the overview of Book addresses, which were likewise Eye Opening, especially for a 17-18 year older who I came across … This teen/young adult was panicky as he talked to me … After 1 month, 7 days of getting it (in a plumbed up 3rd edition form), diving into it, Obviously, it Positively had a Dramatic impact on his whole demeanor, from being So fearful,  to being Excited! … I remember that same feeling after about a month and half of working the corresponding program I received, I felt that switch of Positivity being hit within me for the first time ever it seemed… In All, I felt/Feel Blessed living this and witnessing these Impacts!! Witnessing all this, again, completely Validated Everything about the Power of this Book that I thought it might be when I first wrote it …”

Regarding the Young Lady we had to call the paramedics on… I ran into her in the complex just about 2 yrs after that incident occurred… I could tell she did not seem to be doing as Good as she was reflecting before… But it became obvious why as I talked to her… She did not Allow her Faith to Grow and was not in sync with section 4 of the Book… Hence, that is why she was struggling, Plain & Simple!  As for the 17-18 year older I came across, he did not have spiritual/religious ties when first met him but seemed to be Receptive to that… Anything to get better he felt at the time.

“…….As you will read in the Introduction/Rationale, the first young lady I came across, who completely blew me away when I witnessed the Huge Positive Impacts the Book (in the 2nd edition form) had on her (with Book in hand only), was a Significant A & D sufferer and was Very Spiritual for her age (early 20s); in truth, I don’t think I ever met someone more Spiritual than she seemed at that young age… I thought She was all So Very Special and Golden (!) …  But Yes, she desperately needed the Book’s Education and the Positivity Tools/Skills Process to turn matters around for her; just like it was for me. ….”

“I do often refer to the Positivity Tools/Skills Process (i.e. Book’s majority in page count only) to be a Stepping Stone, or an Enhancement of Faith!  This Process would allow negative thinking Individuals a Quicker Path to allow One’s Faith to Grow, as we put those Positivity Tools/Skills in the Book in play, Clearing Up Our minds from all the negative clutter, and allowing Our Thoughts to be Clear.  Isn’t it understood, when we are Positive vs. negative, and we are Clear of Mind, Our Connection to Everything in and around us just seems to be So Much Better vs. when we are negative? Of Course it does or is, needless to say!  Hence, this Positivity Process does allow our Connection with the “Big Picture” (God), to become Stronger and Stronger, and Deeper and Deeper as we progress!  This is Certainly what I experienced…!”

Regarding the first (4) Customer Reviews received … Yeah, you read above about my first one 9/1/15…  As for the 3/23/16 review, that is from  another young Lady I met in that same apartment complex.  At the time she did not yet do the Work, but now she is a newbie Mom (:)), and sounds like she is going to start Digging in. Not only for herself, but for her Daughter as well, as she  grows, knowing what written would be a Tremendous flow-down of info/tidbits down to her as she matures; besides this would be a Tremendous Read/Education for her during those 16, 17 + teen years or later in Life. Unfortunately, due to some apparent Amazon/customer issues or?, that 3/23/16 review was dropped… I contacted the Young Lady Reviewer and there was no Intentional deletion on her part although she had to submit that review at the time per her Mom’s account “Nancie” since did not have her own at the time…  4/19/16 review is from a past Co-Worker, about 20-30 years ago, who I kept in contact with, who I would not have suspected having such Issues, as he never thought that about me… The review 4/11/16, is from a young Lady I know who struggled as a teen, and struggled with her parents through the years for understandable reasons.  She is now doing Beautifully with a Daughter of her own, and they have a Strong/Solid relationship …  Oh, and yeah, I never did a good job asking for reviews, & reviews for a Book like this, do not come easy, unless, if ya pay for them which I would never do… 4/14/20 Update: Received another 5 star review 4/14/20 entitled “Hope. The only person that will get you to your level of success is yourself”:”The importance of preparing your mind and your thinking for the journey of personal change is the key message of this book. This book is a must-read! Do not wait around for anyone, take action!” Well Said :)!

Seriously, I don’t think it is possible for Anything to Be Better in Effectiveness & Substance as a True Self-Help Book… & Don’t think anyone has put this much Time, Love, & Effort in Anything like this to Help Change Peoples Lives!

“Numbing” =s State of Our Mental Health from what personally Witnessed during Trying Times, & Objective View when took a step Back and Observed; Likely, MH Issues not much different now… (9/05/19)

“The Final Cut updates also include observations made while cycling through those psych wards & follow-up outpatient care stay overs & visits… As I connect those dots and sum matters up, with human nature qualities and how people operate… on how things are really going per related medication stats… and then realize the direction Society (driven by people) is going (ref: section 4.4.), it is Numbing!”

“Please understand, I am not being mean or unkind about what is being said and written in this Book, concerning mental health Professionals and the industry.  I am just being 100% Straight Up, based on all past gyrations/experiences I have had with many a Professional along the way in dealing with Anxiety and Depression through the years, and corresponding feedback from others based on their experiences.  As for my experiences, mainly, that occurred while resident in those psych wards (4) times, along with follow-up visits to the out-patient care facilities. When I say “witch hunt” in the previous paragraph, that is my gut talking, having gone through what I have, although in those environments I frequented, there is no ability to choose.  In the next several paragraphs below, I provide what I have personally experienced/observed, with full intent to be objective, together with what the stats on the matter are saying; a definite eye opener when merged with, how people typically operate based on human nature qualities, and the continuing trends of what is going wrong in our Society these days (sect. 4.4)… When you sum this all up, not a pretty picture…!

Apologies to all the mental health Professionals with families and all to feed considering my thoughts here… Yeah, I Firmly Believe in other facets of my Education/Nature … Love Thy Neighbor as thyself/Ourselves, and Integrity, regardless of matters…, however, there seems to be a glaring problem within the Professional community, as I look back, on whether or not Professionals at all levels, have been properly Educated on Anxiety and Depression mental health issues as I have, or whether or not, there is some hidden agenda really going on considering the significance of the $ bill (?).  With the prevalence of Greed in our Society, especially these days, hard not to feel this way at times… But with thoughts of, how could all these Professionals be educated properly but yet seemingly be so dishonest or slanted as they work, just seems impossible…(!?) So it points to the Education system then I think (?)… But how could that be?

The first time I ended up in a psych ward, was in 1999 when I made a CO auto apparatus to end it all, but turned myself in instead …  I tried medication upon meeting a private sector Psychiatrist leading up to that point, but Hated and terminated all that,  knowing that the meds could not be the answer (hopefully!). Besides, it just made me feel Worse!  While dealing with the Psychiatrist, I learned absolutely nothing, about what it really takes to pull out of the mess I was in, Naturally.  In the subsequent stay in the psych ward, I finally moved past my denial on the matter, realizing I did have Anxiety/Depression going on, through likely the majority of my 43 years of Life by then.   Yep, that is all I learned, and with no viable natural solutions identified by the Professionals at all; the focus seemed to be on the meds only!

Ditto per the next (3) psych ward visits/stays I had. They seemed to be nothing but medication dominant environments, where medication seemed to be handed out like candy, and with no viable Education being provided on what it really takes to amend A & D Issues Naturally, minus the meds.  Bottom line, medication provides temporary band-aids only, at best, if they do any good at all (??!!) to help A & D matters some.  But, Yes,  I do Know at times, as I address in the Book, an anti-depressant would be Necessary, if a sufferer has a plan to hurt themselves, or have already followed through with that, which landed them in the ward to begin with … and I have found my way into the psych wards going both of those ways… Hopefully, before too long, an elevation in the sufferer’s spirit, from that medication will occur (?).  Thereafter, Education is a Must to find a permanent solution to all this, granted the sufferer has the proper material to work from… unless, the person desires to continue down the medication trail, or one step further in the case they have lost hope in all the meds by then … Yeah, it gets even Worse (!), as addressed in section 3.1.  Of course, lots of $s ++ go along with all the meds……  So, it sure seemed, medication was the focus/emphasis of what they use to “help” sufferers as opposed to properly Educating them, whether it be in the psych wards, or thereafter in the out-patient care facilities that follows.  It is understood the psych wards are likely overwhelmed with the rates/quantities of people coming through them these days, and hence quick fixes/quick turn-arounds of people seems necessary, maybe justifying their meds only approach…  But not providing the sufferers, any inklings of what or where to go, to seek more Permanent solutions to their A & D Issues or related, seems to be such an Injustice, if they do Know…!

In 7/2002, I came across a Tremendous (Proven & True) Self-Help program (ultimately flowed down into this Book, along with Additions made), which completely began the process of turning matters around for me. However, I made some serious mistakes of impatience in process which caused me to miss some Key elements along the way, resulting in me to crash hard a few times.  This was triggered by an impending divorce coming up, which I was in denial about, and then did eventually happen, which landed me in psych wards (3) of the (4) times in my Life.   In those (3) stays, I was always wondering what do these Professionals really know (?!)…  It was Very Puzzling, and it sure seemed like I knew quite a bit more, of what it really takes even though I was in dire straits early on in each of those visits…  In the meantime the “Professionals” would only reflect on some nebulous pointers of improvement it seemed, which did not do any good really for a Sufferer, especially when Knowing what it really takes…  I was always wondering about the legitimacy of the collegiate education systems for future mental health professionals, considering what I was observing, during those times and thereafter… I thought, if these Professionals do really know what it really takes to get out of this mess, as I have learned, then how come they are not coming forth with this information for all the sufferers who are, obviously, all in Desperate Need?!!…  It sure seemed the statement made in the audio portion of the Self-Help program I learned from, “They don’t have a clue”, which I initially thought was maybe doubtful (?), was really Accurate (!?).  What I learned and what that Self-Help program and this Book boils down to, is if you properly deal with the root cause and the lowest level of problems we have with Anxiety & Depression, or related, i.e. our negative thoughts, and the sources of those thoughts, and change that up and our mindsets to be Positive, well that is the Logical if not Factual solution… a solution I did not here of any time when dealing with Professionals (?); these thoughts, control our mind/body chemistry, and hence our feelings resulting in the A & D, or related conditions… 100%!

So unfortunately, the psych wards and follow up out-patient facilities are seemingly environments where sufferers are lost to begin with, and get further lost, thinking if anything, maybe medication is the only way out (?!).   I am not sure if things have really improved any since back in the 2010-2011 time frame, but this is exactly how I felt and what I remember per my experiences… I felt completely Bewildered/Perplexed in those environments for the most part, till my last few days in out-patient care, per my last/4th visit, when I really Knew what was going on, and exactly what I had to do; i.e. to go through that Self-Help program again and again per the suggested 15 week time frame for training, each round, to squeeze every little bit I could from it, Knowing that program Truly has lots of the Answers… Anyway, as I stated in section 1.6, I felt like a hamster running on those spinning wheels in a cage, going nowhere, really, when I was caught up in that professional web.

The first and only True Expert in A & D matters I ever came across, who I could Completely Connect with, was the Lady I learned from. And she was just talking on a Radio station at the time :)… Yeah, my Angel (!), who initially Saved my Life! …  And she was not a Professional, but was an X-Sufferer like I am :). Compared to all the Professionals I ever came across by this time or thereafter …there did not seem to be a close second to be Honest (needless to say)… And I am talking about those qualities of being Caring and Passionate in dealing with sufferers to begin with…  Unless a Professional has gone through Significant levels of A/D Issues themselves, and now doing Good, then I don’t think they would ever be able to really Care and Connect with a Sufferer, and then possibly Help them…  In other words, if a Professional does not have those True Life Experiences with the Bad and then turn matters completely around like I have, and as the Lady I learned from had, how could they possibly muster up that True Passion to really Connect & Help people on a continual basis?  It just seemed like most, or maybe all the Professionals I ever met in the in-patient or out-patient facilities, or in the private sector, did not have those Real Life Experiences/Education…  Apparently though, mental health Professionals cannot disclose in their advertisements, whether they have had Real Life Experiences with the Issues they are attempting to help people with…  If they were able to, no one would ever go to those with no such experiences…

I have never heard a  Professional address upfront, proactively (that would be nice…), or anytime, (3) Key pointers, which are NECESSARY (!), allowing a Sufferer, or Anyone really to Take Care of Themselves Naturally, thru Life :

  • We All have to do the Work/Training Ourselves, granted we have the proper material to train from (e.g. this Book) … As far as the training process is concerned, as a sufferer, I Firmly believe, it takes a repetitive training process to reprogram that negative mindset, along with switching those numerous negative thoughts, which are the root cause of our A & D Issues, to Positive thoughts & mindset.  Ultimately, this allows us to appropriately control our thoughts and actions which is KEY!  Just talking to a Professional and conversing about problems with them will not Change the way a sufferer thinks, and operates.
  • It Takes a Full Process (as in the contents of this Book), to do it Right for Life if you are a SuffererThis is necessary to appropriately train, and initially condition the individual sufferer, facilitating the process and allowing them to deal with their fears as they need to, vs. avoiding their fears… Besides, this provides the step by step approach necessary to build up and strengthen the individual internally & incrementally along the way, as they step through the process.  As such, there is really no need for any special, hands on guidance along the way to help the sufferer recover.   When I was going through this process, by then in Life, I had felt all the pains imaginable, so this ride was nothing at all by comparison.  And once I got going with this, this journey turned into Excitement (!), since I finally saw the light at the end of this endless tunnel I felt I was in, for the first time in my Life!
  • It is understood, a Professional can never ask a Suffer… What or How about Your Faith? The Lady I learned from did not bring up Spirituality directly, nor did she stress the importance of Faith for a sufferer in the corresponding workbook, in dealing with their Issues.  However, she did indicate in her audio sessions, when she became overwhelmed at times… she would just let go and let God… She had a relatively bigger type business and all, so presume the background thoughts of matter were, bringing up Spirituality/Religion is considered taboo for business success … Sad actually!  Nonetheless, I Know for Certain, as stated through this Book, Our Faith/Our Foundation is at least half the Game in Life! 

Going to private Psychologists/Psychiatrists, may be more helpful, but really I am not sure of that based on my situation and experiences.  In my case, I have been to two private Psychologists, and only one private Psychiatrist, following my out-patient care visits; this is aside of the first private sector Psychiatrist I went to, as already addressed, to no avail…  By the time I met these other private sector Professionals, I already knew a great deal after going through that Self-Help program, the first time, even in light of those mistakes of impatience I made. These Psychologists and Psychiatrist seemed good, but they could not really help me any, since they could see at that time, I was doing Real Good on my rebound via my coping skills etc., and I Truly did know what it takes… So they did seem to acknowledge and agree what I was doing was the right thing to do (?)…  But it is such a mystery to me what the Professionals truly Know, as compared to the process I learned which again, allows the sufferer to whittle down and amend the root cause and lowest elements of A & D Issues or related … I should have asked them straight up :).

Recently I have been on twitter addressing my Book information (@RonnyLG123). There is/was a Professional advertising services, where she was addressing excellent food for thought mental health statements, which are right on target from all I have learned, with the exception of not mentioning anything about Faith; although, this is a given though for all practicing Professionals as addressed…  I did mention in a message sent to her … Great stuff, and indicated, it sure sounds like we all learned from the same teacher/person :) … and Yes, I intended all Good things saying this really… never did get  a response or a like back, which was not surprising, so she probably thought I had other/bad intent with this statement made … the powers and misinterpretations of social media at work (!!) :).

The Professionals do provide Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) services, which I think might be somewhat similar to the Detailed Cognitive/Behavior Modification Positivity Process included in this Book (?).    Well actually, not that similar, since apparently the CBTs they offer are individually personalized, requiring hands on services vs. what the Lady and her Crew came up with, and what is provided in this Book.  The Book’s approach is Self-Personalized, as the process appropriately Conditions a Sufferer, allowing them to drill down to their individual negative thoughts (and their mindset in sum), and sources of their negativity as Best as they can, to unravel and then amend matters Positively.  What can be more personalized than that, especially since, negative thinking is the root cause of most A & D, or related, Issues?!  When properly Conditioned, who knows more than the Sufferer does about their own negativity?… No One, and that certainly goes for the Professionals as well… So why personalize (?), I do not know, and I don’t know the specifics of these CBTs…

Interesting, when I bump into mental health Professionals as I am out and about, doing my thing with Book cards in hand, talking to people about the Book etc. …  I have gone through 22,750 cards to date actually (as of 4/15/19), since the Original publication of this Book, so such encounters do happen every now and then. Often, mental health professionals do not really want to carry on much with me, and some, not at all, since they do realize before long, I do say it like it is, which likely makes them uncomfortable…  But, Please understand, I am always more than Kind when conversing with them … However, there was (1) individual I met, who was with his child, who was Very Cool, Straight Up, Very Experienced, and who had a Real out of office type presence going on … when I started mentioning things about the Book, before long he indicated what he did or was doing for a living … and as the conversation continued, he too believed the Combo in the Book is really All We Can Do for Ourselves, and of course also agreed, We All have to Do the Work Ourselves!

So it seems, the Professionals at some level do know what it takes.  But, if this were the case, at the psych wards/out-patient care facilities I visited, they were certainly not showing it, except for maybe at some nebulous level (?)… The partial Truth (at least) of the matter is, when you $um it all up, the $ is being overplayed & overpaid when it comes to  the mental health industry, vs. concentrating on the #1 Goal which should be, how Best to  Help sufferers who struggle so…  Not surprising though, considering the nature of people and our Society these days, where things are not moving along in favorable nor healthy directions … And the Main reason behind this all stems from the only Biblical statement which I address in section 4: … i.e. “We can’t have two Masters, God and money… we are going to Love one and hate the other” … so which way is Society, or us humans taking us (as addressed in section 4.4)?  Yeah, the Very Wrong Way!

When you enter People into the equation, and associated  human nature qualities, the picture becomes really Interesting (that loaded word :)) … One factor involves the question, are people willing to put in some hard work for themselves, to Help themselves? Generally speaking, No… unless matters get Real bad for them… which leads to another quality, where people often need to hit rock bottom, or be very near that point in their lives, before they finally realize, they need to do something about their pains & Change …  Now typically, people do not really know much about mental health matters, nor what reality is, going into the Professional circuit as I did… So, when people struggle with mental health issues,  just like how people react when they have any physical ailments/issues going on, they go to see the doctor … So under duress, they typically will go seek services from a mental health Professional since they feel they know best.   So likely, or typically (maybe), they approach their Issues as I did, down the same paths in a sense, and you know how my story goes … Hence, when you add it all up, this is why mental health facilities and Professionals are overloaded with rapidly increasing numbers of people stepping forward with Anxiety/Depression, PTSD, OCD, Addictions, ADD, ADHD … and why there is such an large amount of meds being prescribed for Anxiety & Depression (or related)…

Look at the stats on the increasing problems we are having with Anxiety & Depression, PTSD, Addiction Issues, etc., throughout the world it seems.  Alarming when I last heard the stats on the percentage of all medications being prescribed; 70% of those were for Anxiety & Depression Only or related I presume!  This was quite a while ago, so who knows what that count could be nowadays as things worsen.  My Friends, that is Absolutely Appalling!   Obviously, the current approaches of resolving Our Issues, and How We Are Living Our Lives these days, are not faring well.  Besides, how the mental health industry deals with these matters (predominantly with the meds as addressed), seems to be just exasperating the situation… I Hope things change, which I am afraid they won’t, since there are $s to be made. …Isn’t it time we take matters in Our Own Hands at the individual level?  Change will not happen from the top down considering what is said…

If Anyone is in the dark regarding the Significance of Anxiety and Depression issues with Our Youth these days, the Time magazine Cover story “ANXIETY, DEPRESSION AND THE AMERICAN ADOLESCENT”, dated November 7, 2016, clearly addresses all this and how matters are just getting worse. It’s time We All open up our eyes… This article informs Us How Urgent of a matter this is, and it just Reconfirms, We really are generally unaware on how to deal with it all.  The opening larger font text in the article summarizes matters stating “The Kids are Not All Right…Experts are struggling on how to help them”.  Ironically, the name of an Individual/sufferer who is mentioned up front in the article is “Faith-Ann- Bishop”, who lives outside of Bangor, Maine.  Nowhere in the article does it identify losing sight of the “Big Picture” (lack of Belief/Faith) as I call it, as being a Key factor why all this is happening; YES, this is a Key Problem as addressed in section 4 of the Book.  Other contributing factors mentioned in the article are consistent with what is mentioned in section 4.4 of my Book (e.g. overuse of social media, and our cell phones, the Complexity of Life we have made it into). Of course none of the Other Important information I bring up in this Book is addressed … i.e. that we All have to do the work ourselves … that it really takes a Full Process to do it Right for Life … and that meds are Truly not the answer(!).

This article prompted me to send out my Book’s information to over 500 school districts in America.  I Know How Huge of an Impact this would have on the Lives and Livelihood of Our Youth as a read when they are like Juniors and Seniors in High School.  HUGE!  And Straight Up, Probably the Most Important Education in a Lifetime for them.  But as a School Superintendent addressed to me in reply: “Your concern and facts about anxiety and depression are real. Also, unfortunately, so is separation of church and state. While I have not read section 4, it is likely the contents of this section on spirituality and God will cause it to be a resource school districts could not offer to our students. While I personally agree with your statements, I fully understand, from recent experience, that school districts are subject to liability when promoting God and spirituality. Please do not criticize school leaders for understanding the laws that we are governed by, whether we personally agree with them or not.  I will do my best to check out your book, and thank you for your efforts on a very important matter.”

I do understand all Superintendents are caught between a rock and a hard place here. But when you sum it all up though, collectively, it sure seems adults in numbers, have lost sight of What and Who are Most Important here … and that should be the Students/ Our Youth, and their Livelihood and Well Being… Very Sad!  Of course Professional mental health personnel are part of the school personnel as well, or are who the students are referred to in case they are struggling. And since the Book tends to go against the grain of the professional community, this Book which tells the God’s Honest Truth, would never be accepted…  Such is the Society/World we live in…Welcome to Planet Earth…

I could say, OMG, with Revelations here, or I can just say Numbing!!! … As I connect the dots and sum matters up, addressing what I have observed within the mental health industry, those human nature qualities and how people operate, how things are really going per the above noted stats on the matter, along with the mental health industry seemingly fueling that fire, and then realizing the direction Our Society is going (ref: section 4.4.), we are in a world of Hurt… And Like I said, I don’t think change will ever happen from the top down where there are $s to be made.  Change, seemingly, can only happen from the bottom (the Individual level), and on up in our Society… If you haven’t latched onto anything Bigger than us in Life, not a better time to start :)!

I guess maybe some might be thinking I am not being objective enough in this evaluation (?)… Well, (2) more things to speak of … as I brought up before, when I was in the final stages of writing the Original publication, I was on (4) Anxiety & Depression boards/sites, where thought only one was medically/mental health based … when I mentioned one day, “say No to meds” since this is Unquestionably not the Permanent Solution to these Issues, within the next day I was banned by all (4) boards!  As for the other issue been pondering some… as I’ve mentioned, I do get around a lot and talk to people with Book cards in hand, and have gone through over 22,750 cards now as I am writing this… I have been wondering why I am coming across so many cases of people diagnosed with Bi-Polar type II disorder, rather recently only it seems…? … Haven’t really seen much, if any of that in the past!?  But it sure seems as far as Bi-Polar type II vs. those that suffer with Anxiety & Depression, they seem so very close in the relevant symptoms… I often wonder, that maybe in Truth, Bi-Polar II is really Anxiety & Depression, with some bad choices being made, maybe associated with Issues with One’s Foundation…  Since Professionals will never consider One’s Faith/Foundation, as being linked to  any of the conditions they deal with (…Wow..), then it would be easy for them to come up with that Bi-polar type II condition, with maybe the key underlying reason being, that condition is identified as requiring medication for Life…hmmm?!  I’ll leave it at that…”

  • This is the Beginning of the Self-Personalized Repetitive Training, Cognitive/Behavior Modification (CBT) approach which I fully Believe & Know is Optimum vs. others looked into which are not Self-Personalized, and where Process Learned/wrote of gets us down to the Root Cause of our Issues (i.e. our individual negative thoughts here in section 5 & sources of our negativity covered in section 6) which is of Utmost Importance for Permanent Recovery!  & Remember those negative/unreal thoughts directly impacts our Brain & Body Chemistry in a negative way, impacting our Feelings, Emotions, which leads us dealing with our Issues, whereas Positve thinking & mindset Normalizes matters, resolving our Issues over time, Permanently.  Oh, this involves the Emotional aspects for our Well-Being & I Believe amounts to like 40% of the Game of Life…. So again, 10% per out Physical Well-Being (sect. 3), 40% per this Optimum CBT negative to Positive thought & mindset CHANGE Process, & at least 50% per our Spiritual Well-Being.
  • This Positivity Process involving our Emotional Well-Being is Huge up front in the Recovery Mode… This Positivity Process encompassing both sections 5 & 6, Ultimately Changes the way we Think, Operate, & React to things, Underreacting to Everything in effect… This Is Imperative when in Recovery Mode since if we don’t Change as such there will be No Change over time within…  & by the way, this Cracks open the negative shell we can Certainly get buried in whether be Very Spiritual (e.g Very Spiritual to begin with for both the 9/1/15, 3/3/20 Reviewers … “This book literally saved my life”, & “Life Changing”), or otherwise… But Note unless we tune into section 4 & allow our Faith to Grow with age, we’ll likely crumble over time like a building without a strong foundation,  as Our Faith, Our Foundation, & Connection with #1 Dependence (God) is Key to Solidify Matters & our Positivity thru Life!

Book’s 6.11 “Courage to Change” …What are People getting out of not wanting Necessary Change in their Lives, and Why People are Resisting such Change Needs?… (8/25/19)

6.11 Courage to Change

People typically do not like change especially with age.  Generally, with age we tend to get more set in our ways.  As far as people who are on the extreme end of not liking change, that’d be sufferers from Anxiety and Depression.  Isn’t it so interesting but sad that, negativity/unreal thinking is what gets us into problems with Anxiety/Depression or related, and negativity/unreal thinking is what keeps People from Trying to Change, and Improve in Life?!

Needless to say, the concept of Change is the #1 reason why people don’t want to do something Positive for themselves, such as the process written in this Book, regardless of how bad they have it and feel.  Besides, they just do not understand how Beautifully inside they would feel.  Now I could use a dose of that Pixie dust here :).  But the mere thought of having to reprogram and change one’s inner thoughts and mindset, is negatively perceived as being so overwhelming or impossible resulting in all those excuses that come  rolling out, blocking any willingness to change.  It really is too bad considering how so many would flourish when engaged in this process. Then they wait until they hit rock bottom before they may actually accept the need for change and actually do something about it (maybe).  Of course, without that Pixie dust I mentioned, they would not know what they are missing, and where they could be heading.

Consistent with the previous paragraph, there exists that word describing an individual, which is not pleasant to hear, defined as one who continues to do the same thing with the same actions, and expects different results.  Well, of course, this is real problem and plain and simple, we just do not work that way!  But yet, lots of people, and maybe most people (?), unfortunately, fall in that category.

Lucinda identified in her program, Common Resistance Behavior to change which are not real and Negative.  Bottom line is we need to treat these Negative resistance behaviors just like all those other unreal Negatives and rid us of such behavior patterns and attitudes if we are going to Recover.

  1. “Justifying present behavior: ….you have a thousand reasons for your present behavior….these excuses are weak and are built on a negative foundation (are not real)”
  2. “Negative/skeptical attitude about change: …you may have already decided the program (this process) won’t work for this or that reason.  You feel the material is too complicated … This is a self-defeating attitude.  You start out by saying it won’t work, so you won’t be disappointed if it doesn’t.  This is resistance to change.  Unless you try to become more open-minded and try to let go of this thought, you will have a hard time letting go of this condition.  You need to recognize that this is simply a resistance pattern.  Then you will be on the road to change.”
  3. ““That’s the way I am” attitude: you say “I’m the type of person…” and so on.  It is a statement that says this is the way you are and you probably are not going to change.”
  4. “Procrastination: This is a very common resistance.  You may be saying you will put off working on your limitations until you don’t feel anxious or until you feel more independent.  This only keeps you from facing your fears and working toward your goals (of ridding yourself of Anxiety and Depression ultimately).   As stated previously, this is not the way this works.  You have to get out there and do it, work it, and feel those anxious feelings etc. and go through it in the process to improve.”
  5. Over-analyzing and intellectualizing:  This is a common resistance behavior because, as a rule, you are so analytical.  With this resistance, you overanalyze and intellectualize everything until the new behavior seems so complicated and confusing it produces a great amount of anxiety.  Consequently, the old behavior seems easier and less complicated.”
  6. “Morals and Religion: This resistance is hard to let go of because it is so effective and justifiable.  You might feel that you can’t put yourself first or be assertive because it will go against your Religion.  But as identified, we must take care of ourselves, #1, and when we do this, we can then better take care of others.” 
  7. ““Nobody really understands me” attitude: This resistance is kind of a “feel sorry for yourself” attitude.  You feel you are different.  Your problems are worse.  Maybe you can’t change.  Again, this is very self-defeating that will stop you even before you get started.  But at least you have a good excuse not to change.”
  8. “Insecure Behavior: This resistance can be effective because it also puts the blame on someone or something else.  “People might not like me if I change.  Someone might take it wrong if I am assertive.  What if I change and my husband or wife leaves me?  You have all kinds of little insecure reasons for not changing.  Maybe it’s easier to just stay anxious.””

Additionally, Lucinda identifies “Secondary Gains” that we get out of negative behavior and what may prevent us from Changing or desiring to Change.  In order to get out of your A & D ways, you will need to face up to these gains, and look at the big picture and what the overall Gains will be if you Change and Gain control over your Life. :

  1. Getting attention: This gain is especially important to those people who seem to be “babied” a lot due to anxiety.”  As such, others close to these subject people do things for them to help relieve them of their undue and constant stress; in all reality, the others are not really helping them but are just hindering the progress of the subject people.  “It isn’t easy to give up all the attention especially deep down inside it makes them feel loved and cared for.”
  2. “Avoiding Making Decisions: This is the more popular secondary gain especially for those who are performance oriented. Making a decision about your Life is very difficult.  If you make the wrong decision you are setting yourself up for self-hate due to your perfectionist, hate to fail attitude.  By being anxious and depressed you have an excuse not to make  key decisions e.g. changing jobs, getting out of a bad relationship, going back to school”, etc.  You think “what if you did any of those things and your anxiety acted up.  Therefore you better not do it.  Decision making is difficult for many anxious people, causing much anxiety. This will only lead to procrastination, which will lead to self-hate.  It is a no win situation.”
  3. “Avoiding getting close to people and socializing: Getting close to people is a lot of work. Some decide it is easier not to make the effort.  Besides, if these people knew what you were really like, they would think you were different and they probably would not like you anyway.  Right? Wrong.  If you remain anxious and depressed you can’t get close to anyone.  Getting close to someone puts us in a vulnerable position.  To some, staying anxious is an easier alternative.” 

Actions:

  • In order to be better adept at handling Changes, just like our way of dealing with all those negatives in our lives (as addressed & detailed in section 5.5) , we need to put up that mental stop sign and challenge the subject Changes (needless to say, the Changes that  are making us feel down/negative).
  • We then need to weigh the Positives vs. the Negatives associated with the Changes. Of course if the Positives outweigh the Negatives, that should be the determining factor.  What we need to think of, that should Positively shift the Positives vs. Negatives balance, is to establish what  the impacts to us will be if, A),  we hold onto our Anxiety and Depression and not Change (typically), vs. B), we rid ourselves of significant issues with Anxiety and Depression based on Changing.  That alone will likely be the answer that is best for us and when you really think about it, it should be a slam dunk (to change).

As Lucinda puts it, “Which is worse?  The Anxiety from suffering with Anxiety and Depression or the Anxiety from Change?  Neither is pleasant, but only one holds the key to self-acceptance, growth, maturity, and peace of mind.”

Another key factor impacting the Positive vs. Negative balance in our determination to change or not, is, do we have control of the matter to change or not (?)  Plain and simple, some changes are inevitable, are final, and no matter how we play our cards, it always ends up with the same result; we cannot control those matters so we have to move on in the direction that situation is taking us and write or provide associated Positive affirmations to ourselves.  Remember, again, the only thing we can control is ourselves.

Thinks about it,  for All those who are avoiding CHANGE… For what reasons?  & is it worth doing that to yourself?

“The Final Cut”: Summation of the Journey & Importance of Bridging Positivity Process w/ Our Spiritual Being… Intended for Anyone really… Just have to be human… (7/21/19 … Updated 10/22/19)

Well, I am providing a message to you, since being limited to 280 characters with spaces is Very limiting when trying to address Very Important matters concerning Mental Health.   This applies to Anyone really who Sufferers with negative thinking, whether be for an Average Individual who struggles some, or for those who suffer with negative thinking based Conditions (i.e. Anxiety & Depression, OCD, PTSD (where negativity exasperates/creates the condition subsequent to initial triggers), Addiction(Recovery), ADD, ADHD, Likely BPD, & I would not doubt at all, Bipolar Type 2; my Son was more recently diagnosed with Bipolar 2 (meds for Life?!), but realized the Importance of Everything written (in “The Final Cut” what I wrote & ditto what I said  to him until I was blue in the face 1000 times over it seems… typ. as a parent I guess :)). He is off any meds(!) & is now doing Beautifully with a Beautiful handle on Life matters @29… Hey, it took me 46 yrs before I came across Something that Began the process of Turning my Life Completely Around   … Anyway, I wrote a Book about Resolving These Issues in and through Life… I will convey to you in as short a form as possible to explain here and if desired go to read more as addressed …

I was a Sufferer for 25 yrs., a Worse caser, No Doubts, with Anxiety/Depression, and I did have the OCD thing going on for sure…  & a Grey Beard Psychologist  told my X (now) , you may as well throw away the key, because he is not going to get better … (SERIOUSLY!)  And yeah, I tried to commit suicide twice… I went through the psych wards 4 times including follow-up out-patient care, besides went through a few private practicing Psychiatrists and Psychologists.  By today’s standards the Professionals would likely have tagged me with other acronyms mentioned along the way… Did I Learn What It Truly Takes from the Professionals Community, on How to Turn my Life Around, Naturally? NO, not even close based on what I went through & witnessed!!!

I initially Learned  the Proper Natural Means to Amend matters from an X-Sufferer as I am now, as I heard the Lady talk on a radio station back in 2002; frankly speaking I connected with her Immediately… She nailed the Process of Positivity per a specific approach via a Self-Help program I purchased for approx. $400; don’t think there was a close 2nd, either back in 2002, or is there now…  She & Mental Health Professionals who she Knew & Trusted, collaborated over 16 years & Developed & Optimized this Process.  I was an engineer for 33 yrs and unless this approach sounded Factual and Logical, which This Is All About, then I wouldn’t have done this!  And if I did not do something Feasible to Change the way I thought at the time, then There would be No Way I would be here today …

Bottom Line, each negative thought impacts our Brain/Body chemistry, & hence the way we Feel, & Our Emotions, in a negative way, & each Positive though reverses & Normalizes that based on the Sum of over time… So it is a matter of switching those negative (95%+ unreal) thoughts to Positive thoughts, to change the way we Feel and Resolve these accumulative Issues we Suffer with… It Takes a Full Process to do This Right for Life via a Repetitive Training, Cognitive/Behavior Modification approach.  Modern day CBT may be kinda similar but these apparently need to be individually personalized which is not necessary at all per the process I learned from…  This approach is Self-Personalized as the Individual or Sufferer is initially Conditioned,  and then progresses Step by Step, as instructed, and Learns How Best to  drill down to one’s individual negative thoughts and sources of negativity as Best as we can as humans, switching  those negative thoughts to Positive thoughts… When Reading and Working this, eventually, One’s Mindset actually shifts from being predominantly negative to being Positive ( automatically & Naturally over time).

Subsequent to starting this Process, I was not sure along the way if this was going to work (with those negative/unreal  thoughts  running through my mind), however, I kept on Trying nonetheless, because I Seriously felt, if this does not work, I can’t go on any more!!!!  Just about 1 ½ months after starting this, I felt That Initial Switch happening within me… I Actually Dropped Down and Cried Like a Baby, Knowing this was the First Time I ever felt Positivity roll through me Automatically and Naturally… That Blew me away and could not wait to continue this Process… I was :( with tears but gleeful, and that was followed by plenty of True :)s … My Whole Demeanor went from hesitation and fear to, Excitement to Continue the Process! … When that switch happens that is what we Feel (from fear to Excitement & Can’t wait to Continue…).

As time went on though, since I spent many a time on the depressive side of the Anxiety/Depression fence, I realized the Self-Help program I learned from, did need some shoring up to Help Deal with Depression matters Appropriately.  And that is what I was able to Add to the Process along with other additions which Certainly Can Only Help, which I funneled into this True Self-Help Book.  Essentially, this Process allows an Individual to build up One’s Positivity/Positivity Threshold to levels where Sufferers can Progress and become as Strong as humans can be really…

However, like everything in Life, there are limitations on How Strong we can really become as humans… And, Yes, there will be times in Life when that Positivity Threshold within us will be surpassed/exceeded , based on Very Difficult/Trying times, and this does include when we may be overcome with significant levels of Depression, especially during times when things fall outside Our Control… And Yes, I felt Such Tough Depressing  times several  times in my Life!… During these times, we Need Reliance on Our Support System… Unfortunately though, help from People in Our Lives is Very Much Limited… Hence, The  #1 Support System We Really Need in Life Is Something Much Bigger than us, No Doubts… Our Foundation/Our Faith and Yep, God!!!!!!!!!!  Hence in the Book I wrote, section 4, which is summarized addressing to Sufferers or Anyone really … To Allow Your Faith to Grow with age…

If there are Doubts about this, just  think about matters  in terms of Who/What provided Everything around us and Ourselves anyway?…  If you may be thinking from Something Rather Special :), then I would Know You are on the Right Track :)…  So, In Sum, what it Takes In Life is the Inner Strength we can develop within per the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, with Full Instruction Set and Details provided where appropriate,  along with God (& Jesus if Christian), for Our #1 Support…  Oh, as section 4.1, 1st paragraph addresses though, I do not discriminate against any Faith or Religion…

Combined, This Is All We Can Do For Ourselves In and Through Life as humans (No Doubts !!)…  Of course Exercise, Eating Well are also addressed in this Book. Collectively, Can’t Do More… And as for meds and supplements, they’d be temporary solutions Only at Best, not to mention additional dependent crutches (no joy), and No Permanent means to amend matters.  As for me, based on all what Learned and Wrote about, I don’t think I could be nor get to Feel any Better as a human!…

And Yes, I have seen the True Power in this Book, with Book in Hand only… In the 2nd Edition form, admittedly, it Saved the Life of a Rather Spiritual Young Lady to begin with… Left me in Awe which I now share in the “The Final Cut”  of my Book Rise and Shine Anxiety & Depression & Life Management Tools.   Her review is on the Amazon site, the 1st review I received dated 9/1/2015. PREFACE/SUMMARY

Some Background & Why Select this Anxiety and Depression and Life Management True Self-Help Book?  

First of all, I need to identify, I (Author Ron) am one of those who is pretty much “Honest to a Fault” as they say, especially by today’s standards.  And hope all understand there is No Fault in Honesty… When you understand that Honesty is not only the Best Policy but the Only Policy, you realize there is absolutely nothing to hide… And Certainly, Honesty towards Ourselves and Others is Very Important in the process to Improve.  Yes, I am human, and hence, hardly perfect (!), and I do falter at times, but nothing like during those early formative/teen years which I do address in the Book’s only optional section 1.2; i.e. upfront, where I identify a bit about my upbringing, & in item “1) So am I honest?”,  along with some  :)s as it naturally turned out :).  Nowadays if I falter with dishonesty, it would have to do with harmless accentuations of truths if anything (i.e. saying whatever is bigger, worse, faster, slower, grander, etc. vs. reality).  However, I Assure you, there are no Untruths being told within this Book, about this Book, or elsewhere on Book sites when my words are used. And how could I anyway, with section 4 being what It Is :). 

I bet my Life on the contents of this Book because frankly speaking, I would not be around today (nor would you be reading this), had it not been for the Tremendous Skills/Tools I came across, Learned, and subsequently, to have been Lucky Enough to Grow to Experience and Know what is Written in this Book; And all this for the price of a Good Pizza, with extra toppings really, and future bargains are a possibility :).   And as for me, what that amounts to, is I would be receiving maybe an average tip as the delivery boy (at age 62 now :)).  Regarding the :)s  you will see throughout this Book:  You will understand that Humor, a Laugh, and a Smile are very therapeutic (for specific reasons), and is like taking a free natural pill to lift one’s Spirit and Well Being.  And yeah, you may find a grammatical error here or there, but not in Content, and what I say to that, which is the way we need to handle the mistakes we make day to day in our lives is, first of all, fess up and say, Ooopppsss, Sorry :), I’m just a human being, and to be human is to err.  

When looking back at all the Changes within … from having Significant to Extreme Levels of Anxiety and Depression for approximately 25 years, with all that went along with that … regularly suffering with panic attacks, and sometimes multiple times in a day,  feeling like I was the most fragile person on planet earth, (4) times in psych wards, attempting suicide  twice… Yeah, a Worse Caser (!)…  and then, understand  the complete 180 degree turnaround, and Transformation I went through(!), well, it just seems Magical really! Going from being excessively negative all the time, with all the Pains that went along with that, to being Predominantly Positive for the most part, and often Elated & Energized, but yet calm at the same time; you call that Peace of Mind :).  Cycling through the process made me feel like I was being set free for the first time in my Life (!), as I sensed the changes coming on … Just So Freeing!!  And then being able to look forward to the next moment, the next day, the next whenever … Motivated, and with Excitement instead of with constant dread and fear in the Life I was living; it is a WOW!… Now, whenever emotions are going south at times, based on Life’s Ups and downs, whether things are within my control or outside my control, I now Know, I  have the Positivity Tools/Skills, along with my Faith necessary to deal with Life’s Issues as Best as I can as a human.  In retrospect, I think I was truly the Ideal Guinea Pig for all of the downs, and now the True Ups involved, and most importantly, for the understanding what it really takes to turn it all around & Flourish.

I have been writing, editing, writing, editing, etc.…while continuing to Grow and Experience matters over the last 7 years, 4 months+ since starting to write this Book.  I originally started writing the Original publication, towards the latter part of 2011, even though I did not know I was going to be writing a Book at the time (?). This was spurred by my Son who at the time was going through a downward Anxiety/Depression spiral in his senior year in college, What-Ifing this and that, and the road ahead… Essentially, I started writing for Him to Help, or maybe Save Him, sometime after I had to Save myself back when I was 46.  Anyway, just about 2 1/2 years later, the Original Book was published 6/19/2014. 

I felt Very Strong about this Original Edition, after going through all I went through … with the 1st 23 of those 25 years just being a continuous saga of increasing levels of Pain & Struggle, till I was 46, and then Completely turning matters around with a Tremendous (Proven & True) Self-Help program I came across, purchased, & worked  (i.e. the “core” Process which I flowed down into this Book).  Although, I  made some serious mistakes of impatience in process which caused me to miss some Key elements along the way, resulting in me to meander some, and sometimes excessively/Deeply into those dark holes again, intermittently, for maybe 2 out of the next 10 years or so …  DA me (!) (…you guessed it :)), as I later realized the mistakes made…  This drove me to go through the full 15 week program twice more, in the prescribed time, as opposed to racing through it in like 9 weeks which I previously did…  And why twice?  Well, I wanted to squeeze Everything out of this I could, since by that time in my Life, I realized how Powerful this program was, with nothing better! 

Yeah, after I sped through the Program the first time through, I did crash real hard with an impending divorce coming along which I was in denial about, and then happening. And that landed me in psych wards (3) of the (4) times actually, with the last two being back to back; was just not ready as I tried to migrate back to my normal life too quickly…  But, when I was pulling out of those mental jams in the follow-up out-patient care facilities, which had zero to do with what they (the Professionals) were informing me of, and Everything to do with being able to again see and grasp all the coping Tools & Skills I had already learned, I realized how Powerful that Program was/is!  I Rapidly Improved back to my Good Positive form each of those times, which I know, more than raised the eye brows of the working Professionals.  I sensed and then knew thereafter, that I really did know as much or likely more of What It Really Takes to turn a Life around, than the Professionals seemed to, although obviously, I was missing somethings… Finally (!), I thought I better go back and do that Program again, and that is when I learned of those mistakes I made… Nonetheless, along the way in my journey, based on pondering the overall Process time and time again, that ultimately allowed me to shore up & Add to the Process, especially when falling off on the depressive side of the fence. These improvements, Certainly Helped me ++, and I Know can Only Help Others as well!  And Yes, in the Book, I do share those mistakes I made, so that the Reader does not make the same mistakes as I did to Progress!

Anyway, I had no idea I was ever going to make changes to this Original cut at the time.  I was (and am) Convinced, the Key Ingredients in this Book, including this Optimum & Proven Positivity Process I Knew & Know it to be, plus section 4 in this Book (i.e. Our Belief System, Spirituality, Mindfulness … Our Faith), Combined, is All We Can Do as humans to Take Care of Ourselves through Life.  But due to the continued Growth, Education/Experiences, and the grey hairs along the way, including having gone through some additional down times, this prompted me to greatly improve on the clarity, and rationale supporting this Book’s Combination of what it takes…  So Yeah, Changes were inevitable, and I was Driven to do so.  This included, providing another level of definition tying both the Positivity Process, and section 4 (Our Faith … allowing Our Faith to Grow) together, addressing the parallels/commonality between, and the complimentary relation of Both… and when Summed Up, this clearly defines All We Really Can Do to enhance Our Positivity, and Our Total Wellness & Well Being. 

Since the Original, 3 publications resulted, with the 2nd Edition published (rev. date) 2/19/2015, the 3rd Edition (rev date) 4/7/2016, and now the “4th / Final Edition -Final Cut” (planned to be added to the front cover), coming out sometime after 4/21/2019 (i.e. today’s date as I am finalizing words, and eeeuuuhh …grammar :)).  As for the Effectiveness of the Original vs. Final Editions, this really has gone unchanged; minimal tweaks only have been made to the Detailed Positivity Tools/Skills Instruction Set Process.  And as for Section 4 ( …allowing One’s Faith to Grow), well that involves One’s Personal Journey, and is impervious to changes made.

Per the last set of updates, I finally addressed this Book is not only Important for Anxiety & Depression, but is likewise Important/Solid in dealing with all negative thinking based conditions People suffer from.  These include, PTSD, OCD, ADD, ADHD, Other acronyms (?), and Addictions (Recovery), as long as Bi-Polar or Schizophrenia based conditions are not involved, which necessitates different/unknown (to me) solutions, including the apparent needs for medication for Life (?). This True Self-Help Book’s widespread use, was obvious to me for some time, and why I did not bother to add this in earlier edition updates, I do not know … Guess I can chalk this up as, Oooopppsss, Sorry, but I am only human here :). 

The Final Cut updates also include observations made while cycling through those psych wards & follow-up outpatient care stay overs & visits… As I connect those dots and sum matters up, with human nature qualities and how people operate… on how things are really going per related medication stats… and then realize the direction Society (driven by people) is going (ref: section 4.4.), it is Numbing!

As for the Book’s Main Ingredients etc.: 

A Complete Process including Detailed Instructions, and Optimum/Proven Coping Skills & Tools, Unmatched I believe, combining what I Learned from which Saved my Life upfront, plus additional elements provided which absolutely can only Help+, are provided for All. These Tools & Skills are those we were not born with, but we need to Learn.  This Detailed Positivity Process, which also addresses the importance of Exercise & Eating Well (i.e. per section 3), and laughter & :)s, teaches us how to change or reprogram a negative mindset to a Positive mindset to prevent or eliminate significant levels of Anxiety and Depression in Life. More Specifically, this allows us to drill down to our individual negative thoughts/mindset, changing those to Positive thoughts/mindset, and also drilling down to the sources of Our negativity and dealing with that as Best as we can; this personalizes the process for Anyone.  This is the Bottom Line Key to Self-Improvement or Recovery from an Anxiety & Depression perspective.  Besides, a Positive mindset is what it takes to Aspire in Life; most all People believe this by now. This Process is based on the premise & the (Logical) FACT that a negative thought impacts the brain/body chemistry in a bad/negative way, and a Positive thought reverses that, and impacts brain/body chemistry in a Positive way. If this process works for those most afflicted, such as for me, it will work for Anyone!  I am certain there is not anyone who couldn’t get something out of this Book unless they have been fully educated on these matters, and more importantly, have experienced all this.  Take it from someone who has been Living and breathing this for 40 years now actually; and believe me a lot of those years up front, felt like it was 24 hours a day. Why for Anyone, is further explained in the 1st paragraph of the Introduction/Rationale (section 1.).  

Additionally, this Book goes One Big Step further, addressing what I and many Others believe, is Necessary to Solidify Recovery (or Improvement) from Our Anxieties & Depression, and then Solidify Our Well Being (i.e. Our Positivity and Peace of Mind). This allows us the potential to achieve True Peace of Mind/Tranquility through Life, Living Comfortably in an imperfect world (Everyone’s Goal!).  When we become Positive Thinking People via the Key Tools and Skills Process included in this Book, which Is Crucial for People to appropriately deal with their earthly problems, especially for significant sufferers from Anxiety and Depression, we then become more Clear In Thought and More Apt to See and Sense What Really Is Important in Life; and that Should Include Our Belief System/Spirituality/God (addressed in section 4 of this Book).  When we acknowledge, per my and many other People’s Beliefs (hopefully), that without God, there would be absolutely nothing, including Ourselves, all the Animals and Wildlife, and this Ecologically Perfect World we were born into…  well, that pretty much sums it up and validates it … doesn’t  it, or shouldn’t it :)?  Unless of course, we believe in the Big Bang theory where, I guess, that belief is based on some state of entropy or something where All This including Ourselves, just miraculously by luck/chance, came into being and ended up this way ((?:)).  For those who are not sure, I ask you… did All of This come from nothing at all, or from Something rather SPECIAL :)? If you’re thinking from something Special, you are on the Right Track :)! … When we work on our Positivity via the Tools, Skills, and Instruction set specifically addressed in this Book, together with Our Faith (section 4), then I Firmly Believe this is as Good as we can do for ourselves as human beings on planet Earth, providing us that potential to achieve that True Peace of Mind through Life. 

This Combination of what it takes, allows us to appropriately cope under Very Difficult situations whether matters stack up within or outside of our control.  At times, our Positivity which we can develop extensively/beautifully via the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process, can only take us so far, until we reach that threshold within us, past the burden we can bare, when we need More (i.e. Our Faith…); unfortunately, help from another human is very much limited.   I have grown to know this from firsthand experience, with some of those (very) down times.  Considering an example of an Extreme case of the combination of PTSD, and subsequent Addiction (to alcohol), Faith was the only answer for Louis Zamperini! His biography is written in the Book“Unbroken”, addressing this, which is also addressed fully in the sequel to the movie “Unbroken”, entitled,“Unbroken: Path to Redemption”.

Additional rationale supporting the Importance and Need to Combine the included Positivity Tools & Skills Process with Our Faith, involves the synonymous nature of doing this when compared to those 12 Step Programs and their approach to deal with addictions (for alcohol or drugs).  These programs have been around since 1939, and to this day are considered to be the Best Approach in Dealing with addictions.  The basis of these 12 step programs involve the Best Approach steps necessary for the People to rid themselves of their specific addictions,  and combining this with the Needs for Belief in a Power Greater than Us; and that is Belief in God Ultimately. So, when Combining Our Belief in God with the included Detailed Cognitive/Behavioral Modification Approach, which I Am Convinced to be the Best Means to Resolve Our Problems with negativity, or Resolve Our addiction to negativity which it is in a sense, especially if we are significant sufferers with Anxiety and Depression, sums up and Validates my Complete Understanding (and gut feeling) that in a True Self-Help Book form, It Can’t Get Any Better.

Summing up the Total Process of Recovery, or Significant Improvement of Our Positive Thinking Ways for Anyone, and then Flourishing, depends on Amending or Taking Care of Our Heart & Soul (i.e. Our Spirit/Our Faith addressed in section 4), and Our Mind & Body (i.e. the Positivity Process covered in the majority of the Book, with details in sections 5, & 6, along with importance of Eating Well, & Exercise per section 3).  We Need to Learn, to Balance our Lives, Physically, Mentally, and Our Spirit (Our Faith) which collectively defines Our Total Wellness & Well Being. 

Few noteworthy points, before wrapping this Preface/Summary up:

  • Key information/text in the Book is often repeated for the reason, repetition of information is Important for education/training purposes. Most Importantly, this repetition applies to Sufferers in the Necessary process to reprogram their mindset, from being predominantly negative to being Positive.
  • As far as my unorthodox writing style … i.e. Capitalization of words which would not be normally capitalized …  that is all based on Passion, Emotions, and Certainty of this subject matter, considering the Tremendous Education & Experience I have had through the years, and the Huge Emotional swings I went through, from the deepest of holes, to Flourishing in effect.  As for the :)s, you already read something about that … and then the “… “s … well, just for the flow of what said at times, or for those afterthoughts … , and also when providing snippets to condense a long story into short form, when addressing e.g. a bit of my story which I wanted to keep short … Hey, this Book is not about me … it is about the Reader with the Desire to Help Someone.  

Bottom line, I wrote this Book to Help Someone #1, so they do not have to go through what I had to in my Life!  And I have seen the Power of this Book, with Book in hand only! 100% of those in an apartment complex where I lived at previously, who I Know Read and Worked it (in the 2nd or 3rd edition forms), the Positive Impacts observed were Impressive, to even Life Saving…  That Completely Blew Me Away and I was in awe …  I address a bit more about that in the Introduction/Rationale text.  I am an unknown and did not get too many Books out there to date, since it is such a Popularity game out there for Books and all, Interestingly…  But Yeah, I Know For Certain, this Book Is Truly Very Special,  now Tying & Rationalizing Everything as to why So Effective, and would be Tremendously Beneficial for Lots of People out there.  So Please, Read On for You and Your Loved Ones!

A Complete Process including Detailed Instructions, and Optimum/Proven Coping Skills & Tools, Unmatched I believe, combining what I Learned from which Saved my Life upfront, plus additional elements provided which absolutely can only Help +, are provided for All. These Tools & Skills are those we were not born with, but we need to Learn.  This Detailed Positivity Process, which also addresses the importance of Exercise & Eating Well (i.e. per section 3), and laughter & :)s, teaches us how to change or reprogram a negative mindset to a Positive mindset, to prevent or eliminate significant levels of Anxiety and Depression in Life. More Specifically, this allows us to drill down to our individual negative thoughts/mindset, changing those to Positive thoughts/mindset, and also drilling down to the sources of Our negativity and dealing with that as Best as we can; this personalizes the process for Anyone. Additionally, this Book goes One Big Step further, addressing what I and many Others believe is Necessary to Solidify Recovery (or Improvement) from Our Anxieties & Depression, and then Solidify Our Positivity & Well Being. This allows us the potential to achieve True Peace of Mind/Tranquility through Life, Living Comfortably in an imperfect world (Everyone’s Goal!).  When we become Positive Thinking People via the Key Tools and Skills Process included in this Book, which Is Crucial for People to appropriately deal with their earthly problems, especially for significant sufferers from Anxiety and Depression, we then become more Clear In Thought and More Apt to See and Sense What Really Is Important in Life; and that Should Include Our Belief System/Spirituality/God (addressed in section 4 of this Book).  When we acknowledge, per my and many other People’s Beliefs (hopefully), that without God, there would be absolutely nothing, including Ourselves, all the Animals and Wildlife, and this Ecologically Perfect World we were born into…  well, that pretty much sums it up and validates it … doesn’t  it, or shouldn’t it?  Unless of course, we believe in the Big Bang theory where, I guess, that belief is based on some state of entropy or something where All This including Ourselves, just miraculously by luck/chance, came into being and ended up this way ((? :)).  For those who are not sure, I ask you… did All of This come from nothing at all, or from Something rather SPECIAL :)? If you’re thinking from something Special, you are on the Right Track :)!

When we work on our Positivity via the Tools, Skills , and Instruction set specifically addressed in this Book, together with Our Faith (section 4), then I Firmly Believe this is as Good as we can do for Ourselves as humans on planet Earth, providing us that potential to achieve that True Peace of Mind through Life.  This Combination allows us to appropriately Cope when dealing with Very Difficult situations, whether matters fall within or outside of our control.  At times, Our Positivity which we can develop extensively/beautifully via the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process, can only take us so far until we reach that threshold within us, past the burden we can bare, when we need More (i.e. Our Faith…); help from another human is very much limited!

“Regarding the Importance of Positivity from other People’s perspectives, the Book “The Secret”, published in 2006, which is understood to be the #1 Motivational/Self-Help Book of all time, selling more than 19,000,000 copies, addresses it’s Importance.  The Secret essentially identifies, in the eyes/thoughts of famous people in the past, the common understanding is that we need to think Positive to Aspire in Life; how True that is!  As Wikipedia addresses about that Book: “It is based on the law of attraction and claims that Positive thinking can create life-changing results such as increased happiness, health, and wealth…… as we think and feel, a corresponding frequency is sent out into the universe which attracts back to us events and circumstances on that same frequency. For example, if you think angry thoughts and feel angry, it is claimed that you will attract back events and circumstances that cause you to feel more anger.” And of course on the flip side, when we exude Positivity, we get Positivity back in return from the Universe.   In a related DVD I saw “What the Bleep Do We Know Anyway”, highly educated People/Scholars discuss Positive thinking and the Positive return phenomena based on quantum physics and the mysteries of the universe, and some still wonder if there is a God;  (? :)); hmmm, so who created or designed our Universe and quantum physics :)?   Anyway, “The Secret” sounds to be a real Good Book, although, from my understanding, it does not address to the reader How To think Positive in Life.  23 years earlier, the Lady I learned from, started her business to determine the Best Approach to Deal with Anxiety and Depression. That Approach which she and her experts developed is, I am Convinced to be, How Best To convert our negative thoughts and mindset to Positive Thoughts and Mindset in Life, considering the way we are, think, and operate as humans.  And again, this is what I funneled into this Book along with a few Key Elements I was able to provide, which I Know can Only Help.

Need to identify, this Book is not only Important for Anxiety & Depression Issues, but is likewise Important/Solid in dealing with any negative thinking based condition People suffer from.  These include PTSD, OCD, ADD, ADHD, Other acronyms (?), and Addictions (Recovery), as long as Bi-Polar or Schizophrenia based conditions are not involved, which necessitates different/unknown (to me) solutions, including the apparent needs for medication for Life (?). I refer to PTSD, OCD, ADD, ADHD, Other categories (?), all to be subcategories of Anxiety/Depression, which they are, as well as possibly being an initiator of the A & D condition in the case of PTSD impacts. Note that, as you are reading this Book, and there are indications of solutions for A & D, then consider the meaning of that to be, not only for  A & D, but also for Other conditions addressed  above, as well (for the most part).

For those who suffer with PTSD, it is understood this condition occurs in Individuals or Soldiers who have been thru traumatic events, or who have witnessed traumatic events.  But the bottom line reason why some people suffer more, or less, or why some don’t suffer much at all with PTSD, considering like situations, is due to Individual specific negative thinking ways, which exasperates the condition when excessive. During Extreme conditions though, Our Positivity which we can develop extensively via the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process, can only take us so far, until we reach that threshold within us, when we likely need More (i.e. Our Faith); help from another individual is very much limited. An example of an Intense/Extreme case of PTSD and subsequent Addiction (to alcohol), resides in the Book/Movie “Unbroken”, and the movie’s sequel: “Unbroken; Path to Redemption”. I would think, such a condition would exceed Anyone’s human fiber/threshold of Positivity…  Inevitably, it took Faith (ref: Book’s section 4), to Save Louis Zamperini!  Nonetheless, Learning How Best To Change our negative thoughts/mindset to Positive Thoughts/Mindset, would be Important in Helping amend matters, and allowing an individual to increase their Positivity threshold and inner strength, although, One’s Faith could be most Crucial for a Sufferer’s Recovery for those Extreme cases.

Regarding Addiction recovery issues people face, I Know this Book would be So Positively Impactful as Sufferers migrate through 12 step programs (or related), or thereafter as they go through Life, dealing with their responsibilities, minus the addictions.  As we walk the fence of Life which is getting pretty thin these days, if we struggle with Anxiety and Depression, and hence with negative thinking ways, we either fall off the side of the fence dealing with significant levels of Anxiety & Depression, minus addictions (as I did for 25 years), or we fall off on the other side of the fence, with addictions in attempts to deal with the pain.  So again, it is a negativity vs. Positivity game, combined with One’s Faith, when dealing with these matters as Best as an individual can.

“Continuing to reflect further on the importance of the interdependency of the included Positivity Tools & Skills Process, and section 4 material, Our Belief System/Spirituality (& Mindfulness) provides what I believe is Essential for Us to develop a Solid Foundation/Core with Good/Solid Standards, Values, & Integrity, helping us become Good/Solid & Positive People through Life.  Without a Strong Foundation/Core, then I don’t believe it would be possible to appropriately build-up Our Positive Selves, and be Internally Strong People in the long run (i.e. with a weakened Foundation/Core). Besides, Our Faith/Our Foundation provides the basis of Our Positivity…You know how it is when we do the Right Things in Life … Well, that makes us feel Good and Positive, and if we Don’t (do the Right Things), we Don’t (feel Good nor Positive)!

The Positivity Tools & Skills Process essentially teaches us the importance of being and Living through Life with Love, Patience, Humility, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Joy, and Honesty to Best Deal with our negativity, and hence, our Anxieties, and Depression. And there are probably other Positive characteristics that are not coming to mind now while writing this.   Now, these are the same character qualities that are emphasized within the Bible on how we should operate as People/ Christians in Life.  I am not going to address any specific and related Biblical verses that apply to these characteristic qualities, but if interested, go on-line and do a google search on “Bible verses on…”, these qualities mentioned (Honesty, Love, Patience, Humility, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Joy, and Honesty).  Well, when I did this, I do not have a specific verse count for these respective character qualities, but for all these attributes the verse count was at least 70 for 5 of 7 of those attributes … and for Joy (40+), and Honesty (50+).  Positively Interesting, Huh :)?  Another Positive aspect regarding the included Positivity Tools & Skills Process is, this Process could provide the impetus or incentive to some People, to Help them to possibly begin the process to build up, or amend their Foundation/Core, which as addressed, is Essential. Yes, the parallels are Very Strong and that is one key reason why combining the Positivity Tools/Skills Process along with section 4 matters (Our Faith/Our Foundation), for Personal Improvement or Recovery from Our Issues, is So Effective.  By the way, I am Christian but I do not discriminate against any Faith or Religion; briefly go to section 4.1, and read the 1st paragraph which addresses this matter well…

Furthermore, the Positivity Tools/Skills Process does complement/supplement the Bible, addressing How Best we can take care of Ourselves, based on our Biological and Physiological makeup as humans, not covered within the Bible.  Examples of this includes: Importance of Exercise, Eating well, :)s/laughter… how to breathe Best as humans … how to deal with our worries as Best we can, dealing with those worries of today, and not the worries of tomorrow or thereafter, as addressed in the Bible (in Matthew).  Likely other complementary relationships exist but those are not coming to mind as I’m writing this.  But you get the idea… So Collectively, another reason why this Combo is So Powerful! 

Another factor rationalizing why combine the Positivity Process with Our Faith/Our Foundation … Doesn’t it seem when battling Our negative thoughts, as numerous numbers of those crop up,  we eventually think or realize… well, there are those negative thoughts that seem to be just trivial, ridiculous, and truly meaningless really, but are bothersome nonetheless …  But then, there are those other more troubling negative thoughts which crop up, or maybe a barrage of negative thoughts occurring at times, which we could swear, are Evil based or something like that, amounting to this negativity that is really trying to bring us way down.… I used to refer to that source of negativity as the saboteur within me !!??  Now, I feel this could be more (Evil) than that, but who knows…(?) Sufferers, I think you know what I am talking about here Well I go into this a bit more in section 4, for Very Good reasons :)!

Very Religious/Spiritual people often believe Faith alone is all that is necessary to shed one from Significant levels of Anxiety and Depression.  I believe for some that could be true.  Regardless, I am Pretty Darn Sure their situation could improve if they were to combine their Faith, with the included Positivity Tools & Skills Process to better deal with their day to day earthly issues, considering the realms of Life here on planet Earth, and the resultant negativity and Anxiety and Depression that All will have to deal with sometime in Life; A & D does not discriminate against Anyone!  As a minimum, I seriously think the included Positivity Process (or partial), would serve to put more Smiles on their faces (and within), and would enhance their Well Being and Positivity.  As far as the influence of Spirituality on One’s Positivity, Our Faith/Our Foundation is the basis of Our Positivity. We all should know how that works … When we do the Right things in Life, we typically feel Good and Positive, and when we don’t, we Absolutely Don’t!  In my case, I always did or always tried to do the Right things, but I had all that irrationality in thought, & negativity +, along with all the pains of Anxiety/Depression issues going on, which consumed me and dragged me down.

Now, for those busy minded, negative thinking People out there, and I certainly was one that fit that category to the Nth degree, it is imperative we do Learn and Work such a Positivity Process in order to get and stay Positive.  This subsequently Maximizes Our Ability To Reap the Benefits of Our Spirituality and Faith, as we become clear of mind seeing past all that negativity.  For those who experience significant levels of Anxiety and Depression, the included approach allows us to readily deflate our negativity so it does not result in a domino effect of more negativity, day to day, hour after hour, and yeah, even minute after minute, as it can get, which can seriously Impact and Control Our Lives.

I do understand it is an Individual matter, when considering the extent of the Positivity Tools/Skills Process needs in dealing with Anxiety & Depression (or related). The more negativity and the deeper the Anxiety/Depression holes an individual may find themselves in, the more the Needs for such a Positivity Process to turn matters around.  As you will read in the Introduction/Rationale, the first young lady I came across, who completely blew me away when I witnessed the Huge Positive Impacts the Book (in the 2nd edition form) had on her (with Book in hand only), was a Significant A & D sufferer and was Very Spiritual for her age (early 20s); in truth, I don’t think I ever met someone more Spiritual than she seemed at that young age… I thought She was all So Very Special and Golden (!) …  But Yes, she desperately needed the Book’s Education and the Positivity Tools/Skills Process to turn matters around for her; just like it was for me.  As for myself, when I suffered terribly, I guess I could have been considered maybe average on the spiritual side of things, and you know how my story goes…  On the flip side, for those who naturally have a more Positive mindset, and with lower levels of Anxiety/Depression going on, relying on Faith alone could satisfy their needs to keep them out of those very deep holes of pain with significant A & D levels.  Nonetheless, there is No Doubt, unless an individual is fully educated and experienced on these matters, that they would not Positively Benefit from this; and that could be Significantly with some effort put forth.  And hope all do believe, we have to Work hard on Ourselves in/through Life, since this is what Life is all about, granted we have the desire to have a relatively Joyous/Pleasant Life here on Earth; who wouldn’t want to feel this way?

In case an individual was to Work the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, minus any considerations of section 4 matters of Belief/Faith or in their make-up, early on I would think  things would likely work out somewhat okay for them.  However, in the long run, without having some level of Faith in a Higher Power, nor a Good/Solid Foundation (Factors which typically could be mutually inclusive), then I would think it would just be a matter of time before One’s initial Positivity spike which would likely be sensed, would start to subside/diminish, along with the onset of increased levels of negativity.  So if an individual’s Way/Attitude, and what they say and do are inappropriate, defiling that individual,  then I don’t think it would be too long before he or she were to crash and burn (… just a saying but maybe literally in a sense). …  Based on human emotions and all, how strong can a human really be deep down inside, male or female?  For Anyone, I would think, eventually there would be some level of dependence on something or someone, for support, although, dependence on another human can only go so far and is very much limited… So personally, I just can’t imagine not having Faith in Our Higher Power in Life (…allowing Our Faith to Grow with age), especially during Very Difficult & Trying times when matters fall outside of Our Control!  I Certainly Know this first hand now, based on a more recent down time I experienced.

For the average Individual, if your Faith is Good & Strong, then you likely would be doing pretty good or okay in Life.  But yet, dealing with negativity could still be a bit of a challenge, or maybe more so, living in this rather negative world/society we live in these days. So Yes, Learning the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process would educate Anyone, on how to fine tune their Game Plan in Life, in dealing with everyday negativity, and enhance their Positivity.  And if there are areas of susceptibility one comes across in the Book, where the individual could use some shoring up on, then Yes, the identified repetitive training of those areas could Certainly Help!  Look at it this way… the included Positivity Process, could only Improve One’s Well Being, increasing the Positivity threshold on how Positive we can get… This would just make for Better Days or Moments along the way in Life, and would strengthen the individual, making them more resilient under those trying times/conditions, and allowing them to bare their own burden under heavier loads; in other words, making for more Happy/Peaceful moments and days…

I do often refer to the Positivity Tools/Skills Process (i.e. Book’s majority in page count only) to be a Stepping Stone, or an Enhancement of Faith!  This Process would allow negative thinking Individuals a Quicker Path to allow One’s Faith to Grow, as we put those Positivity Tools/Skills in the Book in play, Clearing Up Our minds from all the negative clutter, and allowing Our Thoughts to be Clear.  Isn’t it understood, when we are Positive vs. negative, and we are Clear of Mind, Our Connection to Everything in and around us just seems to be So Much Better vs. when we are negative? Of Course it does or is, needless to say!  Hence, this Positivity Process does allow our Connection with the “Big Picture” (God), to become Stronger and Stronger, and Deeper and Deeper as we progress!  This is Certainly what I experienced…! 

It is really a matter of Righteous Living which I Strongly Believe is Necessary for Our Positive Well Being here on Earth!  Some believe, as long as we Believe, then we will get to Heaven no matter what mistakes we make or how often we make them.  Not sure about those who keep on doing the same unrighteous things in Life, time and time again, not Improving any, nor Trying to Amend matters (?)… Nonetheless, if that statement does hold True, then for those going through Life that way … Life here on Earth in the meantime would likely not be very pleasant, as you’d likely be paying the price in many uncomfortable human ways & Pains we all know about.  I think maybe Righteous Living would be the better option :)…

Considering all of what is said above, and what I Know based on all my Experiences, including the bad stuff (through like 40 years of Life), plus, simply put, without the “Big Picture” / Our Higher Power, there would be absolutely nothing at all … this is why I refer to section 4 matters (Our Faith/Our Foundation/Our Higher Power), to be at least half the Game in Life.

As far as impacts of the Book with Book in hand only for People I have personally witnessed, I have seen Tremendous Positive results +, and Yes even to the extent of being Life Saving while living at an apartment complex a while back.  This was a rather social environment around the pool area, and I swam pretty much every day (the luxury of living in CA :)), keeping those endorphins a swimming/flowing :).  I did get to know a number of People there… By the time I left the complex to live elsewhere, where I am now, some were calling me the mayor for whatever reason :), probably because of my frequency in the pool/Jacuzzi, and my many grey hairs :); otherwise, not sure why (?)…  I was just being me … Anyway, Seriously, for Everyone I know who received my Book, and who did obviously Read and Work It, based on the before vs. after reactions/demeanor changes I witnessed, the Positive Impacts were Impressive ++!  To see the initial Power of this TRUE Self-Help Book (per the 2nd and 3rd Editions), in the hands of two Young Ladies I came across, after about 2 1/2 months (ironically), from when initially getting the Book in both cases, not knowing how quickly they began working it, Validated Everything about its Effectiveness and why I wrote this Book!  I Was Absolutely Blown Away :) twice over as things went!  One of those Ladies provided their review on Amazon (dated 9/1/2015).  As for this Young Lady, seeing her Improve ++ from having Significant levels of Anxiety and Depression for very understandable reasons, to having all this Positivity, Confidence, and Assertive nature towards people in her Life she had to be Assertive with (!) … well I really kind of lost it in the most Positive way :) … lost a lot of water that day and I had to reach way down to grab my heart it seemed, and put it back in place… Yeah, again, this did Absolutely Blow Me Away ++!! As for the other 20 something year old Lady, there were similarities in Confidence and Positivity (besides how she was carrying herself) coming from her as well. But to see her in that state following that time period, after we (with help from assistant manager), had to call the paramedics on her due to an apparent suicide in works (her body temp was 93-94 deg F), likewise Blew Me Away!…  I Am and Felt So Humbled and Beyond! But, it is entirely up to the individual to put the work forth, doing the repetitive training, to reap the Benefits from this Education which can be nothing short of Tremendous, and to stick with it, since it is a way of Life, for Life, in how we operate and react to things!  Besides, gots to have Our Faith :)! I do address a couple more cases witnessed at the apartment complex I lived at, on the Amazon site for the Book as the overview of Book addresses, which were likewise Eye Opening, especially for a 17-18 year older who I came across … This teen/young adult was panicky as he talked to me … After 1 month, 7 days of getting it (in a plumbed up 3rd edition form), diving into it, Obviously, it Positively had a Dramatic impact on his whole demeanor, from being So fearful,  to being Excited! … I remember that same feeling after about a month and half of working the corresponding program I received, I felt that switch of Positivity being hit within me for the first time ever it seemed… In All, I felt/Feel Blessed living this and witnessing these Impacts!! Witnessing all this, again, completely Validated Everything about the Power of this Book that I thought it might be when I first wrote it …

The Key thing about reading and Working the Book’s Positivity Tools/Skills/Instruction set, is to Trust the Process and Just Do It (!), and have Belief in the Fact this will work if you TRY! The Detailed Positivity Process I learned from, and flowed down meticulously into this Book, has been proven by the Lady I learned from, and her Midwest Center Anxiety & Depression crew in the past, through approximately 16 years of formulating and proving it, from what I understand.  As far as the additional information which I was able to provide through Life Experiences, these additions can only Help +, especially when combining the Positivity Process with Our Faith as written!   I do not think it would be possible for a Sufferer not to Improve, and likely Significantly, if they were to give it their Best shot and Try & Work it…   And why someone wouldn’t want to Work this if they suffered with A & D symptoms (?) … well, it boils down to negative thinking once again… Interesting how it is … negativity is the reason why people suffer as they do for the most part, considering Issues addressed in this Book, and negativity is what prevents those sufferers from doing what they need to do, to amend matters; and as you read within this Book, you will realize that negative thinking is mainly unreal thinking going on, such as in this case.  But I do understand, if you are a Significant Sufferer as I was, and so consumed with negativity, to even read something was and seemed So challenging … However, as you will read in section 1.1, I address this very point, including a possible/probable solution so a sufferer can start reading and working this.

When I first received the Self-Help program I learned from, I had serious doubts about it, but realized I threw all my eggs in one basket here, and knew 100% without question, if this did not work, then I would be a gonner…!!!  I could not continue my Life any more with such a negatively entrenched mind!  Yes, Really That Bad! Well, I just dug in and did it while half of me and my negativity tried to keep me from trying.   About a month and a half after I started doing it though, the results I was starting to feel were Absolutely Remarkable (!)… And as you will read, I did drop down and cried like a baby, knowing this was the first time I ever felt Positivity roll through me automatically and naturally!… It was such a WOW :( … but then quickly replaced by ::))s!! After One goes through the Process, the Key to success through Life is again, to Stick To It, and continue to Trust the Process regardless of matters, even though there will be some down times along the ways, as Life is; as humans we are always challenged in so many different ways… But Always Remember, there is Nothing More we can really do for Ourselves as humans, period, and that is without question!

Oh, if you are/were looking through the Amazon reviews and noticed and read the “1 star(er)”, well,  I thought I would provide my follow-up comment below; you can see this comment on the Amazon site by selecting it’s title “Every other Word is capitalized For No evident Reason” (dated 8/1/18), and then selecting # comment.  I would ordinarily not provide a comment to a negative review but in this case, I Know I needed to, as I dug into matters more …  So if you were wondering about my unorthodox writing style, with the Capitalization of words and all, my comment sums it up real well:  

“Very Sorry You feel this way… As I stated in the Book’s section 1.8 f): “As far as Capitalization of words, or not, no need to give this too much thought really. Maybe if I did not capitalize the word God, then that would be a problem.  Otherwise, no ill intent.   I just weighted them based on the relative importance it felt at the time when writing.  Besides, this approach provides a Feel for what is being said as does the occasional :) I add, versus just having standard lower case words for the most part without a :); in my opinion, that would Just Not Do It :). I know it is unorthodox and is inconsistent at times and, therefore, sorry to some. But if you are feeling too critical of this, then maybe that might be telling you something. Some things in Life we just want to lighten up on and underreact to . . . so just let them go . . ., Life Is Too Good ! :).”

You could call this writing style driven by my Passion & Certainty of the subject matter, and up front, in the preface and early introductory text, more of the Book’s Key Buzz Words are addressed which deserve emphasis. If you had gone through like 25 years of a Worst Case Anxiety/Depression condition, with (4) stays in Psych wards, and pulled the plug on Yourself Twice, and then feel as Good or as Great as Anyone Could, Yeah, You Also would Feel Excited and Emotional about this as well… I Assure you!

And no, as the quoted Book text above indicates, not “Every other Word is capitalized” in the Book :). The Book is all about Content Integrity to Truly Help People, and was not intended to be a literary masterpiece. I would think People would go take a “Look Inside” before purchasing any Book where they could all judge for themselves, before deciding to get or not, especially for those who are critical as such; the Amazon Book site is written in the same way… Really too bad, since a Huge amount can be learned from this True Self-Help Book dealing with matters. Sorry All, but, can’t please Everyone…”

So Yes,  I had to live through lots of Pain and Anguish till the ripe older age of 46 before I came across the included core Positivity Tool & Skills Process, which  Saved My Life !  Sometimes I stop and wonder how and why I made it through all that in the past…  Before that, Nothing at all worked to resolve my struggles with Significant if not Extreme levels of Anxiety and Depression;  whether it be reading information (or a different book), or going to Psychologists, or Psychiatrists, where they often seemed to not really care (?), and Most Importantly, did not know how to help me…  In most cases dealing with Psychiatrists, it just seemed like I was just being categorized, which I know I was, and they just seemed to want to just force a pill down my throat in order to get the session over as quick as possible, knowing that I would be back…  All this just made me feel like it was just an endless journey of hopelessness to my eventual demise.  Yeah, I was really Bad Off, but I don’t think I am alone here in the way I felt and with this opinion!  Of course, to this day, I always felt and Know what is going on in the mental health arena, is fueled by $s for the doctors, and $s for the pharmaceutical companies, to at least some extent, but more likely to a great extent, since Greed is a strong force amongst people in Society. The mental health industry is obviously not alone here in this regard though.

Interesting when I saw the power and pull of likely, the, or some combination of the medical industry/the mental health industry/the pharmaceutical companies at work… When I was in the last stages of writing the Original publication of this Book, I was starting to reach out on Facebook and (4) of those Anxiety & Depression boards/sites where sufferers would go to see that they were not alone, and, what I would think would be their main desire to search for legitimate information to Truly Help them…  Well, almost immediately I was derailed by Facebook; whenever I would send a message out, it would never go out to the public site… it would just be automatically routed to my personal site?!!  So strange considering what they do allow for, vs. what I was trying to do… to Truly Help Someone #1! … Much more alarming though, was when I went to those (4) Anxiety & Depression sites, where one was known to be medically or mental health industry based.   One day when I addressed on all (4) sites, to “say No to meds, since it is Definitely not a Permanent solution to A & D Issues” … within 24 hours, I was banned from all (4) sites!! …  WWWOOOAAAHHH!!  Thereafter, I thought … I can’t even imagine what Lucinda likely went through with her business, in dealing with such interesting hardships… ”

[ (27) successive paragraph Additions]; First 23 of paragraphs up front are an Eye Opener but Truth — This was one of the most difficult parts of the Book, to get it Right.. :

“Please understand, I am not being mean or unkind about what is being said and written in this Book, concerning mental health Professionals and the industry.  I am just being 100% Straight Up, based on all past gyrations/experiences I have had with many a Professional along the way in dealing with Anxiety and Depression through the years, and corresponding feedback from others based on their experiences.  As for my experiences, mainly, that occurred while resident in those psych wards (4) times, along with follow-up visits to the out-patient care facilities. When I say “witch hunt” in the previous paragraph, that is my gut talking, having gone through what I have, although in those environments I frequented, there is no ability to choose.  In the next several paragraphs below, I provide what I have personally experienced/observed, with full intent to be objective, together with what the stats on the matter are saying; a definite eye opener when merged with, how people typically operate based on human nature qualities, and the continuing trends of what is going wrong in our Society these days (sect. 4.4)… When you sum this all up, not a pretty picture…!

Apologies to all the mental health Professionals with families and all to feed considering my thoughts here… Yeah, I Firmly Believe in other facets of my Education/Nature … Love Thy Neighbor as thyself/Ourselves, and Integrity, regardless of matters…, however, there seems to be a glaring problem within the Professional community, as I look back, on whether or not Professionals at all levels, have been properly Educated on Anxiety and Depression mental health issues as I have, or whether or not, there is some hidden agenda really going on considering the significance of the $ bill (?).  With the prevalence of Greed in our Society, especially these days, hard not to feel this way at times… But with thoughts of, how could all these Professionals be educated properly but yet seemingly be so dishonest or slanted as they work, just seems impossible…(!?) So it points to the Education system then I think (?)… But how could that be?

The first time I ended up in a psych ward, was in 1999 when I made a CO auto apparatus to end it all, but turned myself in instead …  I tried medication upon meeting a private sector Psychiatrist leading up to that point, but Hated and terminated all that,  knowing that the meds could not be the answer (hopefully!). Besides, it just made me feel Worse!  While dealing with the Psychiatrist, I learned absolutely nothing, about what it really takes to pull out of the mess I was in, Naturally.  In the subsequent stay in the psych ward, I finally moved past my denial on the matter, realizing I did have Anxiety/Depression going on, through likely the majority of my 43 years of Life by then.   Yep, that is all I learned, and with no viable natural solutions identified by the Professionals at all; the focus seemed to be on the meds only!

Ditto per the next (3) psych ward visits/stays I had. They seemed to be nothing but medication dominant environments, where medication seemed to be handed out like candy, and with no viable Education being provided on what it really takes to amend A & D Issues Naturally, minus the meds.  Bottom line, medication provides temporary band-aids only, at best, if they do any good at all (??!!) to help A & D matters some.  But, Yes,  I do Know at times, as I address in the Book, an anti-depressant would be Necessary, if a sufferer has a plan to hurt themselves, or have already followed through with that, which landed them in the ward to begin with … and I have found my way into the psych wards going both of those ways… Hopefully, before too long, an elevation in the sufferer’s spirit, from that medication will occur (?).  Thereafter, Education is a Must to find a permanent solution to all this, granted the sufferer has the proper material to work from… unless, the person desires to continue down the medication trail, or one step further in the case they have lost hope in all the meds by then … Yeah, it gets even Worse (!), as addressed in section 3.1.  Of course, lots of $s ++ go along with all the meds……  So, it sure seemed, medication was the focus/emphasis of what they use to “help” sufferers as opposed to properly Educating them, whether it be in the psych wards, or thereafter in the out-patient care facilities that follows.  It is understood the psych wards are likely overwhelmed with the rates/quantities of people coming through them these days, and hence quick fixes/quick turn-arounds of people seems necessary, maybe justifying their meds only approach…  But not providing the sufferers, any inklings of what or where to go, to seek more Permanent solutions to their A & D Issues or related, seems to be such an Injustice, if they do Know…!

In 7/2002, I came across a Tremendous (Proven & True) Self-Help program (ultimately flowed down into this Book, along with Additions made), which completely began the process of turning matters around for me. However, I made some serious mistakes of impatience in process which caused me to miss some Key elements along the way, resulting in me to crash hard a few times.  This was triggered by an impending divorce coming up, which I was in denial about, and then did eventually happen, which landed me in psych wards (3) of the (4) times in my Life.   In those (3) stays, I was always wondering what do these Professionals really know (?!)…  It was Very Puzzling, and it sure seemed like I knew quite a bit more, of what it really takes even though I was in dire straits early on in each of those visits…  In the meantime the “Professionals” would only reflect on some nebulous pointers of improvement it seemed, which did not do any good really for a Sufferer, especially when Knowing what it really takes…  I was always wondering about the legitimacy of the collegiate education systems for future mental health professionals, considering what I was observing, during those times and thereafter… I thought, if these Professionals do really know what it really takes to get out of this mess, as I have learned, then how come they are not coming forth with this information for all the sufferers who are, obviously, all in Desperate Need?!!…  It sure seemed the statement made in the audio portion of the Self-Help program I learned from, “They don’t have a clue”, which I initially thought was maybe doubtful (?), was really Accurate (!?).  What I learned and what that Self-Help program and this Book boils down to, is if you properly deal with the root cause and the lowest level of problems we have with Anxiety & Depression, or related, i.e. our negative thoughts, and the sources of those thoughts, and change that up and our mindsets to be Positive, well that is the Logical if not Factual solution… a solution I did not here of any time when dealing with Professionals (?); these thoughts, control our mind/body chemistry, and hence our feelings resulting in the A & D, or related conditions… 100%!

So unfortunately, the psych wards and follow up out-patient facilities are seemingly environments where sufferers are lost to begin with, and get further lost, thinking if anything, maybe medication is the only way out (?!).   I am not sure if things have really improved any since back in the 2010-2011 time frame, but this is exactly how I felt and what I remember per my experiences… I felt completely Bewildered/Perplexed in those environments for the most part, till my last few days in out-patient care, per my last/4th visit, when I really Knew what was going on, and exactly what I had to do; i.e. to go through that Self-Help program again and again per the suggested 15 week time frame for training, each round, to squeeze every little bit I could from it, Knowing that program Truly has lots of the Answers… Anyway, as I stated in section 1.6, I felt like a hamster running on those spinning wheels in a cage, going nowhere, really, when I was caught up in that professional web.

The first and only True Expert in A & D matters I ever came across, who I could Completely Connect with, was the Lady I learned from. And she was just talking on a Radio station at the time :)… Yeah, my Angel (!), who initially Saved my Life! …  And she was not a Professional, but was an X-Sufferer like I am :). Compared to all the Professionals I ever came across by this time or thereafter …there did not seem to be a close second to be Honest (needless to say)… And I am talking about those qualities of being Caring and Passionate in dealing with sufferers to begin with…  Unless a Professional has gone through Significant levels of A/D Issues themselves, and now doing Good, then I don’t think they would ever be able to really Care and Connect with a Sufferer, and then possibly Help them…  In other words, if a Professional does not have those True Life Experiences with the Bad and then turn matters completely around like I have, and as the Lady I learned from had, how could they possibly muster up that True Passion to really Connect & Help people on a continual basis?  It just seemed like most, or maybe all the Professionals I ever met in the in-patient or out-patient facilities, or in the private sector, did not have those Real Life Experiences/Education…  Apparently though, mental health Professionals cannot disclose in their advertisements, whether they have had Real Life Experiences with the Issues they are attempting to help people with…  If they were able to, no one would ever go to those with no such experiences…

I have never heard a  Professional address upfront, proactively (that would be nice…), or anytime, (3) Key pointers, which are NECESSARY (!), allowing a Sufferer, or Anyone really to Take Care of Themselves Naturally, thru Life :

  • We All have to do the Work/Training Ourselves, granted we have the proper material to train from (e.g. this Book) … As far as the training process is concerned, as a sufferer, I Firmly believe, it takes a repetitive training process to reprogram that negative mindset, along with switching those numerous negative thoughts, which are the root cause of our A & D Issues, to Positive thoughts & mindset.  Ultimately, this allows us to appropriately control our thoughts and actions which is KEY!  Just talking to a Professional and conversing about problems with them will not Change the way a sufferer thinks, and operates.
  • It Takes a Full Process (as in the contents of this Book), to do it Right for Life if you are a Sufferer! This is necessary to appropriately train, and initially condition the individual sufferer, facilitating the process and allowing them to deal with their fears as they need to, vs. avoiding their fears… Besides, this provides the step by step approach necessary to build up and strengthen the individual internally & incrementally along the way, as they step through the process.  As such, there is really no need for any special, hands on guidance along the way to help the sufferer recover.   When I was going through this process, by then in Life, I had felt all the pains imaginable, so this ride was nothing at all by comparison.  And once I got going with this, this journey turned into Excitement (!), since I finally saw the light at the end of this endless tunnel I felt I was in, for the first time in my Life!
  • It is understood, a Professional can never ask a Suffer… What or How about Your Faith? The Lady I learned from did not bring up Spirituality directly, nor did she stress the importance of Faith for a sufferer in the corresponding workbook, in dealing with their Issues.  However, she did indicate in her audio sessions, when she became overwhelmed at times… she would just let go and let God… She had a relatively bigger type business and all, so presume the background thoughts of matter were, bringing up Spirituality/Religion is considered taboo for business success … Sad actually!  Nonetheless, I Know for Certain, as stated through this Book, Our Faith/Our Foundation is at least half the Game in Life! 

Going to private Psychologists/Psychiatrists, may be more helpful, but really I am not sure of that based on my situation and experiences.  In my case, I have been to two private Psychologists, and only one private Psychiatrist, following my out-patient care visits; this is aside of the first private sector Psychiatrist I went to, as already addressed, to no avail…  By the time I met these other private sector Professionals, I already knew a great deal after going through that Self-Help program, the first time, even in light of those mistakes of impatience I made. These Psychologists and Psychiatrist seemed good, but they could not really help me any, since they could see at that time, I was doing Real Good on my rebound via my coping skills etc., and I Truly did know what it takes… So they did seem to acknowledge and agree what I was doing was the right thing to do (?)…  But it is such a mystery to me what the Professionals truly Know, as compared to the process I learned which again, allows the sufferer to whittle down and amend the root cause and lowest elements of A & D Issues or related … I should have asked them straight up :).

Recently I have been on twitter addressing my Book information (@RonnyLG123). There is/was a Professional advertising services, where she was addressing excellent food for thought mental health statements, which are right on target from all I have learned, with the exception of not mentioning anything about Faith; although, this is a given though for all practicing Professionals as addressed…  I did mention in a message sent to her … Great stuff, and indicated, it sure sounds like we all learned from the same teacher/person :) … and Yes, I intended all Good things saying this really… never did get  a response or a like back, which was not surprising, so she probably thought I had other/bad intent with this statement made … the powers and misinterpretations of social media at work (!!) :).

The Professionals do provide Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) services, which I think might be somewhat similar to the Detailed Cognitive/Behavior Modification Positivity Process included in this Book (?).    Well actually, not that similar, since apparently the CBTs they offer are individually personalized, requiring hands on services vs. what the Lady and her Crew came up with, and what is provided in this Book.  The Book’s approach is Self-Personalized, as the process appropriately Conditions a Sufferer, allowing them to drill down to their individual negative thoughts (and their mindset in sum), and sources of their negativity as Best as they can, to unravel and then amend matters Positively.  What can be more personalized than that, especially since, negative thinking is the root cause of most A & D, or related, Issues?!  When properly Conditioned, who knows more than the Sufferer does about their own negativity?… No One, and that certainly goes for the Professionals as well… So why personalize (?), I do not know, and I don’t know the specifics of these CBTs…

Interesting, when I bump into mental health Professionals as I am out and about, doing my thing with Book cards in hand, talking to people about the Book etc. …  I have gone through 22,750 cards to date actually (as of 4/15/19), since the Original publication of this Book, so such encounters do happen every now and then. Often, mental health professionals do not really want to carry on much with me, and some, not at all, since they do realize before long, I do say it like it is, which likely makes them uncomfortable…  But, Please understand, I am always more than Kind when conversing with them … However, there was (1) individual I met, who was with his child, who was Very Cool, Straight Up, Very Experienced, and who had a Real out of office type presence going on … when I started mentioning things about the Book, before long he indicated what he did or was doing for a living … and as the conversation continued, he too believed the Combo in the Book is really All We Can Do for Ourselves, and of course also agreed, We All have to Do the Work Ourselves!

So it seems, the Professionals at some level do know what it takes.  But, if this were the case, at the psych wards/out-patient care facilities I visited, they were certainly not showing it, except for maybe at some nebulous level (?)… The partial Truth (at least) of the matter is, when you $um it all up, the $ is being overplayed & overpaid when it comes to  the mental health industry, vs. concentrating on the #1 Goal which should be, how Best to  Help sufferers who struggle so…  Not surprising though, considering the nature of people and our Society these days, where things are not moving along in favorable nor healthy directions … And the Main reason behind this all stems from the only Biblical statement which I address in section 4: … i.e. “We can’t have two Masters, God and money… we are going to Love one and hate the other” … so which way is Society, or us humans taking us (as addressed in section 4.4)?  Yeah, the Very Wrong Way!

When you enter People into the equation, and associated  human nature qualities, the picture becomes really Interesting (that loaded word :)) … One factor involves the question, are people willing to put in some hard work for themselves, to Help themselves? Generally speaking, No… unless matters get Real bad for them… which leads to another quality, where people often need to hit rock bottom, or be very near that point in their lives, before they finally realize, they need to do something about their pains & Change …  Now typically, people do not really know much about mental health matters, nor what reality is, going into the Professional circuit as I did… So, when people struggle with mental health issues,  just like how people react when they have any physical ailments/issues going on, they go to see the doctor … So under duress, they typically will go seek services from a mental health Professional since they feel they know best.   So likely, or typically (maybe), they approach their Issues as I did, down the same paths in a sense, and you know how my story goes … Hence, when you add it all up, this is why mental health facilities and Professionals are overloaded with rapidly increasing numbers of people stepping forward with Anxiety/Depression, PTSD, OCD, Addictions, ADD, ADHD … and why there is such an large amount of meds being prescribed for Anxiety & Depression (or related)…

Look at the stats on the increasing problems we are having with Anxiety & Depression, PTSD, Addiction Issues, etc., throughout the world it seems.  Alarming when I last heard the stats on the percentage of all medications being prescribed; 70% of those were for Anxiety & Depression Only or related I presume!  This was quite a while ago, so who knows what that count could be nowadays as things worsen.  My Friends, that is Absolutely Appalling!   Obviously, the current approaches of resolving Our Issues, and How We Are Living Our Lives these days, are not faring well.  Besides, how the mental health industry deals with these matters (predominantly with the meds as addressed), seems to be just exasperating the situation… I Hope things change, which I am afraid they won’t, since there are $s to be made. …Isn’t it time we take matters in Our Own Hands at the individual level?  Change will not happen from the top down considering what is said…

If Anyone is in the dark regarding the Significance of Anxiety and Depression issues with Our Youth these days, the Time magazine Cover story “ANXIETY, DEPRESSION AND THE AMERICAN ADOLESCENT”, dated November 7, 2016, clearly addresses all this and how matters are just getting worse. It’s time We All open up our eyes… This article informs Us How Urgent of a matter this is, and it just Reconfirms, We really are generally unaware on how to deal with it all.  The opening larger font text in the article summarizes matters stating “The Kids are Not All Right…Experts are struggling on how to help them”.  Ironically, the name of an Individual/sufferer who is mentioned up front in the article is “Faith-Ann- Bishop”, who lives outside of Bangor, Maine.  Nowhere in the article does it identify losing sight of the “Big Picture” (lack of Belief/Faith) as I call it, as being a Key factor why all this is happening; YES, this is a Key Problem as addressed in section 4 of the Book.  Other contributing factors mentioned in the article are consistent with what is mentioned in section 4.4 of my Book (e.g. overuse of social media, and our cell phones, the Complexity of Life we have made it into). Of course none of the Other Important information I bring up in this Book is addressed … i.e. that we All have to do the work ourselves … that it really takes a Full Process to do it Right for Life … and that meds are Truly not the answer(!).

This article prompted me to send out my Book’s information to over 500 school districts in America.  I Know How Huge of an Impact this would have on the Lives and Livelihood of Our Youth as a read when they are like Juniors and Seniors in High School.  HUGE!  And Straight Up, Probably the Most Important Education in a Lifetime for them.  But as a School Superintendent addressed to me in reply: “Your concern and facts about anxiety and depression are real. Also, unfortunately, so is separation of church and state. While I have not read section 4, it is likely the contents of this section on spirituality and God will cause it to be a resource school districts could not offer to our students. While I personally agree with your statements, I fully understand, from recent experience, that school districts are subject to liability when promoting God and spirituality. Please do not criticize school leaders for understanding the laws that we are governed by, whether we personally agree with them or not.  I will do my best to check out your book, and thank you for your efforts on a very important matter.”

I do understand all Superintendents are caught between a rock and a hard place here. But when you sum it all up though, collectively, it sure seems adults in numbers, have lost sight of What and Who are Most Important here … and that should be the Students/ Our Youth, and their Livelihood and Well Being… Very Sad!  Of course Professional mental health personnel are part of the school personnel as well, or are who the students are referred to in case they are struggling. And since the Book tends to go against the grain of the professional community, this Book which tells the God’s Honest Truth, would never be accepted…  Such is the Society/World we live in…Welcome to Planet Earth…

I could say, OMG, with Revelations here, or I can just say Numbing!!! … As I connect the dots and sum matters up, addressing what I have observed within the mental health industry, those human nature qualities and how people operate, how things are really going per the above noted stats on the matter, along with the mental health industry seemingly fueling that fire, and then realizing the direction Our Society is going (ref: section 4.4.), we are in a world of Hurt… And Like I said, I don’t think change will ever happen from the top down where there are $s to be made.  Change, seemingly, can only happen from the bottom (the Individual level), and on up in our Society… If you haven’t latched onto anything Bigger than us in Life, not a better time to start :)!

I guess maybe some might be thinking I am not being objective enough in this evaluation (?)… Well, (2) more things to speak of … as I brought up before, when I was in the final stages of writing the Original publication, I was on (4) Anxiety & Depression boards/sites, where thought only one was medically/mental health based … when I mentioned one day, “say No to meds” since this is Unquestionably not the Permanent Solution to these Issues, within the next day I was banned by all (4) boards!  As for the other issue been pondering some… as I’ve mentioned, I do get around a lot and talk to people with Book cards in hand, and have gone through over 22,750 cards now as I am writing this… I have been wondering why I am coming across so many cases of people diagnosed with Bi-Polar type II disorder, rather recently only it seems…? … Haven’t really seen much, if any of that in the past!?  But it sure seems as far as Bi-Polar type II vs. those that suffer with Anxiety & Depression, they seem so very close in the relevant symptoms… I often wonder, that maybe in Truth, Bi-Polar II is really Anxiety & Depression, with some bad choices being made, maybe associated with Issues with One’s Foundation…  Since Professionals will never consider One’s Faith/Foundation, as being linked to  any of the conditions they deal with (…Wow..), then it would be easy for them to come up with that Bi-polar type II condition, with maybe the key underlying reason being, that condition is identified as requiring medication for Life…hmmm?!  I’ll leave it at that…

This Book is now a 4th and Final Edition.  Since the Original publication (Rev. date 6/19/2014), (3) subsequent publications resulted, with the 2nd Edition published (Rev. date 2/19/2015), 3rd Edition published (Rev. date 4/7/2016), and now the 4th and Truly Final Edition coming out sometime after 3/8/19 when I started generating this update.

Although I have generated several Book editions, none of the changes have had anything to do with the lack of Effectiveness of the earlier editions of this Book, including the Original.  The Detailed Positivity Tools/Skills/Instruction Set Process, which encompasses the majority of the Book, was meticulously formulated and flowed down from Who & what I learned from.   This took just about 2 ½ years to get that appropriately written into the Original publication; didn’t miss a beat over that timeframe, considering all the readings/reviews/fine tuning which I went through.  I just picked up the Original while writing up the Final edition updates, scanning through it as a refresher of what I had in it…  This still remains to be a Special True Self-Help Book, including all that is necessary to take care of Ourselves as humans, with bare bones rationale as to why this to be True.   So yeah, if anything, the rationale/proof of why So Effective is what was lacking which has been the emphasis of the (3) editions which followed, culminating in “The Final Cut”.

Since the Original, the Book has had a few minor tweaks only, with minimal if any impacts on the Detailed Positivity Process, and with no impacts on its Effectiveness.  As for section 4 matters, which in effect suggests to the reader to … allow Your Faith to Grow (with age)… well, this is impervious to changes made since this Wellness Factor, if you will, is general in nature and involves One’s Personal Journey only.  Pretty much all changes made involved updates to the clarity and rationale of introductory text & explanations, concerning the Detailed Positivity Tools/Skills Process, the section 4 Spirituality/Faith/Foundation matters, and the Importance of tying the Positivity Tools/Skills and the Section 4 elements together. Per the last set of updates made, aside from the/my needs to clean up a wishy washy 1st paragraph in section 4.1 (Spirituality), addressing the Book’s continuing non-discrimination towards any Faith or Religion, which spurred my initial thoughts for an update, there was a growing desire to add another level of definition pertaining to the Positivity Process & the section 4 material.  Specifically, this included explanations addressing the parallels/correlation between Spirituality and the Positivity Process, tying these matters together, and in all, further rationalizing and proving in effect,  Why Collectively this is So Effective, and why I keep on saying, this Is Really All We Can Do for Ourselves as humans.  The deciding driver for an update though, was due to recovery from a recent depressive tumble I went through, due in part to matters which fell outside my control.  During these gyrations, I again realized, bottom line what I wrote, is All I can do! How So True this is, as I subsequently dug in, with additional emphasis placed on Faith for out of control circumstances, pulling myself out of that mud again… This rebound just Validated Everything written once again. This also provided me Valuable lessons, culminating in additional revelations in thoughts and analysis about the relative nature of the Positivity Process & Our Faith in pulling us out of those pits/holes of Anxiety & Depression and  keeping  us True & Good (… the way “Bruce Almighty (i.e. Jim Carey)” said it :)) for Life.  Things definitely happen for a reason, and did I ever feel this way as I am now wrapping up the Final Cut of this Book :).

Sorry, but in order to cover the bases on thoughts one could possibly have on planet earth :), in no way do I work for or have I ever worked for Lucinda, or her Program/Center (Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety, Inc.), so I assure you this is not a secondary advertising attempt or gimmick. I really just care and know what would be best for you.  Guess what path I had to follow, when I was truly at Rock Bottom in my Life?  Written material alone was not good enough since I was so desperate, anxious, and perplexed, and I was not really in a state of mind to be able to read or comprehend things in my A & D saturated mind.  Of course, I did not have this Book in hand.  But even if I did, as bad as I was feeling, I would likely have fallen into this category 2), and ordered Lucinda’s (Midwest Center’s) program which is consistent with the fact the “Attacking Anxiety and Depression Program” was geared to and was advertised for those most afflicted.

“Please NOTE though: If you go this route, as you proceed through her program and start feeling better, which I certainly know will be the case if you consistently and diligently work it, it is still suggested to go through this Book, which again, has Additional Key Supplemental Information that can only Help.  Based on what I have learned through the many years of my Life (62 years now), I strongly feel section 4 material is paramount in Solidifying ones Recovery, Well Being, and Peace of Mind which is everyone’s goal in Life.  Besides, section 4 matters (… allowing Our Faith to Grow with age),  just may turn out to be at times, our primary means to appropriately cope with Very Difficult situations whether matters stack up within, or outside of our control.  At times, our Positivity which we can develop extensively via the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process, can only take us so far, until we reach that threshold within us, when we likely need More (i.e. Our Faith…) to Help; help from another human is very much limited.

I included Positive self-talk that I found to be Very Important in my recovery and everyday Living. This included merging Positivity self-talk together with section 4 elements, as addressed in section 4.4, empowering the self-talk statements and Ourselves, as we talk to ourselves :).  Additionally I included those mistakes I made, when I initially jumped into the program… mistakes you do not want to repeat (Believe Me!).  Subsequent to Recovery and Self-Improvement, this Book would satisfy your needs for as required refreshers, which certainly can be very beneficial at times in Life!”

“An Individual’s reading comprehension ability, associated with their struggles with Anxiety and Depression, may be a deciding factor in determining the effectiveness of working this Book vs Lucinda’s (Midwest Center’s) program, although the program has a workbook which needs to be read and worked similarly (?).  Section 1.1, item 1), includes an approach which I believe would support improved reading comprehension for sufferers, up front, to allow them to initiate the Process via this Book (i.e. to start off with  the Relaxation media,  as instructed in 1.1, from the get go).

As far as the understanding you are not alone in your struggles, twitter hashtags, e.g. #Anxiety, #Depression, #PTSD, #OCD, #AddictionRecovery,  certainly do support more than enough of that…  As far as testimonials, well, really, only have a few Amazon reviews really to speak of as of now.  All I could do to satisfy this area somewhat, was to address what I personally witnessed at an apartment complex I lived at which I share in section 1. Introduction/Rationale; i.e. 100% of those I witnessed who received the Book, and who Obviously Read  and Worked It (with Book in hand only), the Positive Impacts were Impressive, and apparently, to the extent of even Life Savings in a couple cases!

As far as Trusting what I saw, and what I am writing about in this Book, always remember what section 4 is all about :)… There is no conceivable way I could ever tell the untruth here!  If I were untruthful in any way, completely going against the grain/fiber of who I am, & my Faith,  I Seriously would have been or would be feeling the pains in so many ways over the last 7 years+ or so… No Doubts! Any untruths as such, would literally kill me !… Besides, how could I possibly be going stronger than ever about this Book for, getting close to 5 years (as I write the final edition updates), since the Original was published, if  I was not So Incredibly Sure of this Book’s Content & Integrity. Otherwise I would have petered out a long long time ago… As far as my knowledge base, I certainly Know all what Lucinda taught me via Her Self-Help Program.  But I Know I have really pushed matters to another level really, considering the additions made, and in all the pondering and rationale which followed.

If for whatever reason, this Book doesn’t quite get you to where you want to go, then Please Purchase Lucinda’s program.  The program will provide you lots of the key answers to your success for recovery.   Also, there would be no hiccups nor speed bumps in case you did happen to switch, since you would not have to learn a new trick (tool/skill), nor would you be learning the same tricks (tools/skills) in different ways.  If you decide to go forth with her program, I urge you to still read through section 4 since this content goes beyond what Lucinda has provided, and from what I have learned and experienced, is at least half the game of achieving True Peace of Mind.  Also, there are other things added that can only help as previously addressed.”

“This section contains Key Wellness Factors/ Information, which goes beyond the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, including Our Belief System, Spirituality, Mindfulness, and Living Life with Gratitude, Humility, and Child Like enthusiasm per sections 4.1 – 4.3.  Additionally, section  4.4 addresses problems with how people are operating in Our Society, with the increased complexity of Life we have made it into, creating  additional stressors for people; i.e. issues with excessive use of social media (or antisocial media it should be often called),…  excessive communication via texting vs. using our vocal chords we were born with, negatively impacting our verbal communication skills, … and Most Importantly, being caught up in all so many trivial matters, as opposed to tuning into the Important Things in Life, including of course,  the “Big Picture” (i.e. God and What Was Provided To Us).  One’s Belief System/Spirituality/Mindfulness, can only help one during the recovery process, and can truly help one post recovery as an individual strives for Tranquility and Peace of Mind in Life. When I come across and talk to People about this Book, handing them a Book card if interested,  which is usually the case, I typically address the Book’s section 4, saying … “as for section 4 of the Book … allow Your Faith to Grow (with age)”, and I always do point straight up when  I say that :).  That is what the overall message and emphasis of this section is to the reader. Contrary to the Detailed Positivity Tools/Skills & Instruction set which covers the majority of this Book in page count, but not in Importance, One’s Spirituality (4.1), Mindfulness (4.2), and tuning into the “Big Picture”, which is really another way of summarizing this section, involves One’s Personal Journey… 

I am Christian, but I do not discriminate against any Faith or Religion as addressed in the 1st paragraph in section 4.1.  Occasionally, Bible matters do come up in discussions. But I Never press it, since I do not want to drive or push People away, since the majority of the population likely would not be interested up front, and often uneasy, or maybe annoyed by such discussions.  If such discussions ensue, and it is apparent, an individual is unsure of their Faith or Beliefs, I often address to them … Look Up and Around at Everything which exists… Pretty Special, Huh?  Well, need to ask yourself, did all this come from nothing at all, or did it come from Something rather SPECIAL :)? If you are leaning towards from Something Special, then you are on the right track :)!  If you are aware of the Bible but don’t believe what written in the Bible could be True ,with all those  miracles etc. … then I say to you, … Look Around Again(!) … This Ecological Perfect World/Earth we were born into … the Universe! … All the Living and Breathing Things & Matter including Ourselves … DNA?! … Quantum mechanics which is understood to be associated with the laws of attraction … so Who designed All This, or did this all just magically appear from nothing (?) :) … Pretty Darn Amazing Really + when we really ponder such matters and look into them… It’s a WOW!  Wouldn’t you call All That Miracles as well? I Certainly Do!!!    

As far as allowing my Faith to Grow with age, being Christian, I presently read scripture from the Bible, and often read daily, one chapter from the Old Testament, and one from the New Testament. Besides, I always do the designated daily read in Sarah Young’s, “Jesus Always” 365 daily devotional Book; each daily read conveys multiple Biblical scriptures/messages. Love that little Book :)!  There is Power in doing this :)! … Yeah, allowing Our Faith to Grow, does not mean to just go belly up, drawing in Spirituality by osmosis :)…  ”

I firmly believe there is a need to believe in a Higher Power in our lives. Need to identify up front that I am Christian, so I refer to our Higher Power as God, and our Savior as Jesus Christ.  Other Religions may have a different name for their Higher Power and may not have a Religious Being that parallels Jesus Christ; that, I am not certain of.  So please, if you practice your Faith through a different Religion, while reading through this Book, then make the associated switch to the name of your Higher Power, and it should be fitting for you as well.  If you are not sure of, or have doubts about the basis of your Faith, then consider the Christian Way consistent with the way this Book is written; sure is Doing It for me :)!… Yeah, I do know what the Bible says, but I always wanted to Lure and not Discriminate nor Drive People away from this Book’s stated Matters/Considerations.  In effect, this is written and consistent with the 2nd most important commandment in the Bible: Love Our Neighbors as Ourselves…  There are Certainly Many Beautiful People who practice their Faith through different Religions and Belief Systems, indicative of what Morgan Freeman’s “Story of God” series addresses.  All that I can say is, I am not the JUDGE/MASTER, and understand that Only God Knows how we all will fair, when all is Said and Done.  

Reading through Spiritual based literature can be very refreshing and enlightening.  A Book that was recommended as a read by Lucinda is the “The Quiet Mind” –“Sayings of White Eagle”.  This is a Real Good Book which was described as a collection of sayings based on the theme of following the master within bearing no particular religious ties.  During the recovery phase, I read it daily, 2 pages a day, and it was refreshing/enlightening.  Since those earlier times, I have switched over to a  Christian daily read of one of Author Sarah Young’s 365 day devotions Books entitled “Jesus Always”.  Love it :)!

I again am Christian, and it is important to acknowledge that regardless of what is going on in Life, God/Jesus has unconditional Love and Forgiveness for us all.  However, how significant sufferers feel when we are overcome by all those negative A & D thoughts is often quite opposite; we feel like we are being punished for some reason and that is why we have this A & D condition.  Well, this latter/negative approach unfortunately consumed me prior to beginning Lucinda’s Attacking Anxiety and Depression program in 2002; I just could not feel or think any other way.  My A & D saturated mind hardly ever did cater to a Positive mindset when approaching God, Jesus, and Church prior to receiving and commencing Lucinda’s programReligion/Spirituality, alone, not being the answer to one’s significant A & D condition, is further exemplified by my experience with this matter post recovery, and is also exemplified by the experiences of a panel member in Lucinda’s audio series (discussed below).

[[ The Blue text below in this sector of what provided was a necessary Correction based on a hasty oversight I made in the 3rd Edition updates of the Book, concerning the program I learned from; but Ooopppsss…, well,  I was wrong :)… Otherwise, some minor adjustments made here only]]:

  • Forgiveness toward ourselves… In order to Love ourselves, we need to forgive ourselves for our imperfections. Remember we are all Human Beings, and to be Human is to Err!  Often A & D sufferers are Perfectionists, and that is something we need to back off on.  Just do the best you can do (which really is the meaning of not failing), and whatever happens, happens making errors or otherwise. Let your perfectionist attitudes go and forgive yourself!  

Per the Core material I learned from, and as I recently felt first hand, having experienced a recent depressive hurdle, Forgiveness towards Ourselves, is a Huge Factor when dealing with and overcoming our negativity and resulting A & D.  What is stated/”NOTED” in the Program I learned from, is “Refusing to forgive oneself is quite an arrogant stance.  This position places you above all others.  Refusal to forgive promotes self-centered pity.” This is True!  Refusing to Forgive oneself does make it look like they would be placing themselves at a level above human standards and hence would be quite arrogant… The feelings that I should handle things and my emotions Perfectly when things are not going well, due to unrealistic Perfect standards being placed on myself, or that things should be Perfect at times, was/is a problem I had/have to deal with based on the included Tools/Skills I have learned and have written about.  And Yes, this does lead to self-pity if not appropriately dealt with!  Besides, this attitude or way of thinking results in us getting critical towards Ourselves and Others; and this of course is Not Good!  I at times need to remind myself and write to myself occasionally and appropriately (per the Tools provided and detailed in section 5), to back-off on such negative attitudes of un-forgiveness, perfectionism, and being critical when they crop up. Praying certainly helps too :). 

  • Forgiveness toward Others. Remember what the prayer “Our Father who art in heaven … says: …Forgive us our trespasses as we Forgive those who Trespass against us …. How few of us really do that?  It is really sad actually.  How often do we jump to conclusions about someone that upsets us?  As an example (maybe not the best example), let’s say you see some individual apparently racing aimlessly (an assumption actually) down the freeway.  The normal reaction to such an individual is that we would generally get festered about the situation, cussing that individual out etc., although, yes, understandably, there would be a valid concern for the safety of yourself and others on the freeway.  Otherwise, instead of festering, adjust your thoughts and think that maybe, that individual is really hurting/festering about something real and important that could be happening in his or her Life and you hope no one else gets hurt.  Understandably, it may not be true and that individual may just have bad/reckless intent for no real reason, however, if you have this more Positive and forgiving attitude,  you will end up feeling a lot better (yourself), and more calm, than if you just vent on about it.  Yes, not easy to be non- reactive about circumstances like that, but if you can catch yourself in those moments, and look at the situation from a different perspective, it will likely make you feel better and the reaction would probably be more compassionate as well. And don’t forget one more factor regarding Forgiveness, when associated with  Love, considering the Importance of the 2nd Most Important Commandment in the Bible (i.e. Love of your neighbor as yourself):  Love without Forgiveness is no Love at all!

I have the impression, Very Religious/Spiritual people often feel that Spirituality/God alone is all that is necessary to shed one from significant levels of Anxiety and Depression.  I believe for some that could be true…  I do understand it is an Individual matter, when considering the extent of the Positivity Tools/Skills Process needs in dealing with Anxiety & Depression (or related). The more negativity and the deeper the Anxiety/Depression holes an individual may find themselves in, the more the Needs for such a Positivity Process to turn matters around.  As you will read in the Introduction, the first young lady I came across, who completely blew me away when I witnessed the Huge Positive Impacts the Book, in the 2nd edition form, had on her (with Book in hand only), was a Significant A & D sufferer and was Very Spiritual for her age (early 20s); in truth, I don’t think I ever met someone more Spiritual than she seemed at that young age… I thought She was all So Very Special and Golden (!) …  But Yes, she desperately needed the Book’s Education and the Positivity Tools/Skills Process to turn matters around for her; just like it was for me.  As for myself, when I suffered terribly, I guess I could have been considered maybe average on the spiritual side of things, and you know how my story goes…  On the flip side, for those who naturally have a more Positive mindset, and with lower levels of Anxiety/Depression going on, relying on Faith alone could satisfy their needs to keep them out of those very deep holes of pain with significant A & D levels.  Nonetheless, there is No Doubt, unless an individual is fully educated and experienced on these matters, that they would not Positively Benefit from this; and that could be Significantly with some effort put forth.  And hope all do believe, we have to Work Hard on Ourselves in/through Life, since this is what Life is all about, granted we have the desire to have a relatively Joyous/Pleasant Life here on Earth; who wouldn’t want to feel this way? 

Yeah, in my case as a Significant Suffer (I was),  I desperately needed a Positivity Punch or Crunch I often call it, since I was so negatively entrenched, and really could not see past all that, especially with all  the corresponding negative body symptoms going on … Anything Worse? No Way!   So there was a Need for the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process up front, at age 46, for survival, and then to really turn matters around. I then merged the Positivity Process with Faith I had at the time, Praying for Improvement, which I truly felt, enhanced my Progress.  Subsequently, with the continued Progress… this was or felt like a Catapult or Enhancement/Stepping Stone of Faith, I often call this, as our thoughts become Clearer and Clearer… Upon pulling out of this negative funk I was in for as long as I could remember, looking Up/Around, & Truly Observing things Clearly for the first time it seemed, the Realization kicked in… Certainly can’t forget about That (“The Big Picture”, or God/Jesus being Christian)!  I was then stoked and motivated … to allow my Faith to Grow More… :)!  

Again, I often refer to the Positivity Tools/Skills Process (i.e. Book’s majority in page count), to be a Stepping Stone, or an Enhancement of Faith!  This Process would allow negative thinking Individuals a Quicker Path to allow One’s Faith to Grow, as we put those Positivity Tools/Skills in the Book in play, Clearing Up Our minds from all the negative clutter, and allowing Our Thoughts to be Clear.  Isn’t it understood, by All, when we are Positive vs. negative, and are Clear of Mind, Our Connection to Everything in and around us just seems to be So Much Better vs. when we are negative? Of Course it does or is, needless to say!  Hence, this Positivity Process does allow our Connection with the “Big Picture” (God), to become Stronger and Stronger, and Deeper and Deeper as we progress! This is Certainly what I experienced…!

For the average Individual, if your Faith is Good & Strong, then you likely would be doing pretty good or okay in Life.  But yet, dealing with negativity could still be a bit of a challenge, or maybe more so, living in this rather negative world/society we live in these days. So Yes, Learning the included Positivity Tools/Skills Process would educate Anyone, on how to fine tune their Game Plan in Life, in dealing with everyday negativity, and enhance their Positivity.  And if there are areas of susceptibility one comes across in the Book, where the individual could use some shoring up on, then Yes, the identified repetitive training of those areas could Certainly Help!  Look at it this way… the included Positivity Process, could only Improve One’s Well Being, increasing the Positivity threshold on how Positive we can get… This would just make for Better Days or Moments along the way in Life, and would strengthen the individual, making them more resilient under those trying times/conditions, and allowing them to bare their own burden under heavier loads; in other words, making for more Happy/Peaceful moments and days…

In case an individual was to Work the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, minus any considerations of section 4 matters of Belief/Faith or in their make-up, early on I would think, things would likely work out somewhat okay for them.  However, in the long run, without having some level of Faith in a Higher Power, nor a Good/Solid Foundation (Factors which typically would be mutually inclusive), then I would think it would just be a matter of time before One’s initial Positivity spike which would likely be initially sensed, would start to subside/diminish, along with the onset of increased levels of negativity.  So if an individual’s Way/Attitude, and what they say and do are inappropriate, defiling that individual,  then I don’t think it would be too long before he or she were to crash and burn (… just a saying but maybe literally in a sense). …  Based on human emotions and all, how strong can a human really be deep down inside, male or female?  For Anyone, I would think, eventually there would be some level of dependence on something or someone, for support, although, dependence on another human can only go so far and is very much limited… So personally, I just can’t imagine not having Faith in Our Higher Power in Life (…allowing Our Faith to Grow with age), especially during Very Difficult & Trying times when matters fall outside of Our Control!  I Certainly Know this first hand now, based on a more recent down time I experienced.

So, it is a matter of the Individual merging the Positivity Tools/Skills Process with Our Faith to Best Take Care Of Ourselves.  And I do understand through my Life’s Journey, As Faith Grows, Fears do tend to diminish :)…

The Positivity Tools & Skills Process essentially teaches us the importance of being and Living through Life with Love, Patience, Humility, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Joy, and Honesty to Best Deal with our negativity, and hence, our Anxieties, and Depression. And there are probably other Positive characteristics that are not coming to mind now while writing this.   Now, these are the same character qualities that are emphasized within the Bible on how we should operate as People/ Christians in Life.  I am not going to address any specific and related Biblical verses that apply to these characteristic qualities, but if interested, go on-line and do a google search on “Bible verses on…”, these qualities mentioned (Honesty, Love, Patience, Humility, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Joy, and Honesty).  Well, when I did this, I do not have a specific verse count for these respective character qualities, but for all these attributes the verse count was at least 70 for 5 of 7 of those attributes … and for Joy (40+), and Honesty (50+).  Positively Interesting, Huh :).  Another Positive aspect regarding the included Positivity Tools & Skills Process is, this Process could provide the impetus or incentive to some People, to Help them to possibly begin the process to build up, or amend their Foundation/Core, which as addressed, is Essential. Yes, the parallels are Very Strong and that is why combining the Positivity Tools/Skills Process along with section 4 matters (Our Faith/Our Foundation), for Personal Improvement or Recovery from Our Issues, is So Effective.  

Furthermore, the Positivity Tools/Skills Process does complement/supplement the Bible, addressing How Best we can take care of Ourselves, based on our Biological and Physiological makeup as humans, not covered within the Bible.  Examples of this include, the Importance of Exercise, Eating well, :)s/laughter… how to breathe Best as humans … how to deal with our worries as Best we can, dealing with those worries of today, and not the worries of tomorrow or thereafter, as addressed in the Bible (in Matthew).  Likely other complementary relationships exist but those are not coming to mind as I’m writing this.  But you get the idea… So Collectively, another reason why this Combo is So Powerful!

As we proceed through, and Hopefully acclimate to section 4 of the Book, Repetitive Training definitely comes into play in our personal journey to shore up Our Foundation, and allow Our Faith to Grow;  i.e. via repetitive readings of the Bible/Scriptures etc. (if Christian), and of course Prayer.  This is similar to Repetitive Training needs when learning the Positivity Tools/Skills Process, addressed in section 5 & 6.  And Yes, Prayer is synonymous in a sense, with the Positive self-talk we provide to Ourselves as we proceed through the Process.  When we then inter-mix Our Positivity self-talk with Prayer in statements  we say to ourselves, as I address in section 4.4, per the (4) bulleted self-talk statements provided as examples, this becomes Especially Effective…  So when we include Prayer in the Positive Self-Talk statements to Ourselves, this I believe makes these Self-Talk statements as Powerful as they can be, as we allow Faith to Grow. 

As I’ve aged, having some temporary setbacks/hurdles along the way in Life, and as I allowed my Faith to Grow, I realized the Significant Influence of Our Faith/Our Foundation in dealing with Anxiety/Depression especially when matters fall outside Our Control, or even sometimes in Life when we just get Overwhelmed. Under such circumstances, sometimes after giving it Our Best shot in Trying to handle matters on our own, even with the included Positivity Tools/Skills we’ve learned, we may just feel Overwhelmed … In such a case, just think and go with… Let Go and Let God :)… and tune into that Channel; Serious Power can emanate when doing that and focusing your thoughts on God & Jesus if Christian :)… The Lady I learned from indicated she would divert to “Let Go and Let God”, when she felt overwhelmed at times as well. And that is exactly what I thought and did, per my most recent down time when matters fell outside my control. 

Another factor rationalizing why combine the Positivity Process with Our Faith/Our Foundation … Doesn’t it seem when battling Our negative thoughts, as numerous numbers of those crop up,  we eventually think or realize… well, there are those negative thoughts that seem to be just trivial, ridiculous, and truly meaningless really, but are bothersome nonetheless …  But then, there are those other more troubling negative thoughts which crop up, or maybe a barrage of negative thoughts occurring at times, which we could swear, are Evil based or something like that, amounting to this negativity that is really trying to bring us way down.… I used to refer to that source of negativity as the saboteur within me !!??  Now I feel, this could be more (Evil) than that, but who knows (?)… Sufferers, I think you know what I am talking about here … So Yes, this is yet another good reason to lock into section 4 (Our Faith/Our Foundation/ Higher Power) providing us That Shield or Safety Net supporting us, during Very Difficult times.  And I could swear, as I was initially writing the Final Edition text, and contemplating matters… there was some Very negative force it Really felt like, which wanted to pull me down and away from doing this writing… Yeah, just like the Bible says, I am convinced at times, the devil/Satan is at work, trying to bring us down or tear us apart…

When considering all of what stated above, besides, the Fact (I Certainly Believe it to be), without the “Big Picture”/God, there would be absolutely nothing at all… this is why I refer to  section 4 (Our Faith/Our Foundation/Our Higher Power), as being at least half the Game of Life! How could I express This any other way?! 

It is really a matter of Righteous Living which I Strongly Believe is Necessary for Our Positive Well Being here on Earth!  Some believe, as long as we Believe, then we will get to Heaven no matter what mistakes we make or how often we make them.  Not sure about those who keep on doing the same unrighteous things in Life, time and time again, not Improving any, nor Trying to Amend matters (?)… Nonetheless, if that statement does hold True, then for those going through Life that way … Life here on Earth in the meantime would likely not be very pleasant, as you’d likely be paying the price in many uncomfortable human ways & Pains we all know about.  I think maybe Righteous Living would be the better option :)…

((This Paragraph only shown for  reference, considering what the next additional paragraphs says:  Ironically, when I was writing up the previous paragraph, I was E-mailing friends voicing my concerns to see if they have also noticed negative issues/impacts with people’s communication skills in the business world and elsewhere over time, attributed to today’s texting ways, etc. going on.   I received a reply from a friend who sent me a quote Albert Einstein made concerning this matter: “I fear the day technology will surpass our human interaction.  The world will have a generation of idiots.”; certainly I do not want to make anyone feel bad with word choices here, but interesting, huh?   But of course, considering that this would not put more Money in people’s pockets, this would never be something that Big Business would ever advertise, unless maybe they actually cared about important things in Life to truly benefit People and our Society as opposed to what is going on now, with People and Society heading in the wrong direction. ))

With all the texting going on, and with smart phones always in hand for some wherever they seem to go, walk, eat, or …  this does seem to have instilled fear in People to talk to others,  or to say hi, or engage with others… Seems to be a fair share of discomfort for some walking along, in instances they don’t have  their eyes focused on their smartphone for who knows what reason, or maybe no reason at all other than to look busy, with possible fearful what-if expectations engaging with others around them?  Well, I did see there is a phobia term someone came up with involving this … i.e. Nomophobia, defined as the fear of being without a mobile device, or beyond mobile phone contact… Sure seems like this may be happening an awful lot these days!  Interesting world this has become… So Yes, it may be Very Wise to Simplify Life, and shed those wireless interfaces people get caught up with, way too often, and naturally communicate and socialize as you are out and about, walking around, or going somewhere to eat, or … Pretty much how we all were without those contraptions in hand, not too many moons ago  :)… Yeah, I am afraid technology is causing more harm than good at times for us… Well look at that Einstein’s quote in the paragraph above  :)… !!! Smart Guy! … He saw all of this stuff coming…

Regarding the Big Picture: I think a Real Good Way to start seeing and feeling this from an individual perspective, is, first of all go out and look up and around and notice what was provided to us without those cell phones in hand (as previously mentioned)!  Be Gracious and Appreciative of all that was provided to us.  Tune into that YouTube link on Gratitude, included towards the end of section 7!  Additionally, I suggest you add the following words to those Positive statements that you say to yourself when you go through the process of Improvement, or Recovery, or Post Recovery: ……“Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus & Have Faith & Trust!”.  And remember, God and Jesus is within each one of us, so Having Faith & Trust means Having Faith in God/Jesus and Ourselves.  (4) Cases in point, per the listing of the Positives that we want to say to ourselves in our Daily lives (ref: section 6.16), to make for a Good if not a Great day: 

  • Look for the Good, the Pluses, and the Positives in anything, everything, anybody, everybody, anytime and all the time Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus & Have Faith & Trust!. This does not mean you need to always see the Good, but just keep on looking for it … and again Have Faith & Trust :)! 
  • Feel the Excitement, Energy, and Enthusiasm of Life with Child Like Exuberance and Enthusiasm, Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus (& Have Faith & Trust!). 
  • Live in the Present moment, make the most of the moments and enjoy the Special Moments with Child-Like Exuberance and Enthusiasm, Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus (& Have Faith & Trust!). 
  • Positives, Positives, Positives — Emanate Positive Energy and Good Feelings no matter what, and no matter how I feel within reason,  if I can, when I can, the Best I can, Through You God and Jesus, Because of You God and Jesus (& Have Faith & Trust!). 

If you can lock into a section 4 related Belief system as you become a Positive thinker, then such Positive self-talk could feel so Good and Uplifting for Anyone really,.  It sure does for me, but it is a matter of not only just saying the words, but Feeling Those Words (from the Heart).  Allowing your Faith to Grow enhances your ability to Feel this way; this I am Completely Convinced of, but words can’t explain That Feel, or How Exactly To Get There, other than the need for True Belief!   I have been saying and Feeling these Positive statements regularly for quite some time now, and it just feels all so Good, Positive, and Real….. Because It Is :)!!

 ( The (3) successive paragraph Additions):

“I am Certain, when we battle Deep Depression as I have, the Power in Something Much Bigger than us, is a Huge factor in the Process to help deal with such matters in Our Lives, when coupled with the Positivity Tools/Skills Process.  What Definitely Helps, as I’ve learned, are those (4) Positivity self-talk statements intermixed with Prayer mentioned above, as we allow Our Faith to Grow… Doing this just seems to double up on How Powerful they can be when dealing with Our Issues.  

In fact, I formulated those (4) bulleted Positivity/Prayer statements above, when I was going through a Significant Depressive time in my Life early on, prior to generating the Original publication.  I was definitely in a Bad way at the time… I just remember when I kept saying/thinking those words during those times, things really started turning around for me Positively, pulling me out of the mud …  Previously, I was working Positivity statements which I had learned by that time, but that alone did not seem to cut it in that state of mind I was in.  I Needed Additional (!), and that is when I felt the need to lean more on/into my Faith…  That was What I Needed!  I Knew by then, no way in hell I was going to go with that medication garbage (!); hmmm fitting words :)!  That made it Very Clear, the Importance & Power of tying Our Positive Statements in with Prayer (Faith), especially when in Recovery from Depression (at the very least for me as I felt at times).  But Yes, I found providing such self-talk to myself, seems to be Effective all the time. And an FYI for ya … I do often end those end of Positivity/Prayer statements now with, “….. Totally aligning myself with Your Principles God & Jesus that I learn from the Bible”.  

The Importance of Faith in dealing with Issues, Certainly does not apply to me Only, needless to say… How Often have We heard from So Many who have gone through some Seriously Difficult & Tough/Rock Bottom times with e.g. Addictions, Depression, or other, where the Common Denominator for Recovery was Their Faith #1…  How SO TRUE as I Felt It and Lived It myself first hand, especially when matters fall outside Our Control.  As previously mentioned, you may want to Read “Unbroken” (a terrific Overall Book!), or see the “Unbroken” sequel “Unbroken: Path to Redemption”, which addresses an extreme case where Faith ultimately Saved The Life of Louis Zamparini, who suffered, understandably and terribly, with PTSD, and consequently, alcoholism.”

“I included a YouTube link below, provided to me from a loved one, that was so refreshing and fitting that I had to include it at the tail end of this Book. This YouTube link is by far my favorite, especially since I really understand its True Meaning upon Recovery from Anxiety & Depression.   This link is entitled “Gratitude” and it points to the Way Our Attitudes Should Be Toward Living, Life, and Being Grateful in the process.  The storyline could be identified as, every day in Life is like a fingerprint, where each day is different than any other day.  Live Life with inner child-like exuberance, and be Thankful/Grateful for each day we have.  Consume the beauties that surround us, including the environment, and the people that surround us.  In effect this is a reflection of all aspects of what has been provided to you in this Book and the awareness we can achieve, as we reap the Benefits of Recovery.  Enjoy! 

Life Is Good!

One thing Lucinda identified in parting, at the end of her program, is she felt the program, the audio media, and all the people involved were Blessed in the Self-Help Program’s development.  She’s Right!  Similarly, I felt this same way myself as I was writing and completing this Book! Yes, I do feel truly Blessed and have had that Feel/Sense through the 4 editions, culminating in this Book’s “The Final Cut”.  And have to include “4th/Final Edition — The Final Cut” on the Book Cover!! This driven in part by my Thanks to D. Gilmour & Pink Floyd for providing the music which I constantly listened to, via Pandora at first, and then Ipod(ing) it through the majority of the writing pleasures for 7 + years total … till 4/9/19 when me Ipod died for sure I thought :( … Then just before getting that unbelievably quick Amazon Prime delivery early the next day(!), with a replacement Ipod Nano (? why not a smart phone instead?… :) you ought to know why if ya read 4.4…), I pulled the dead Ipod out of the trash before trashing the trash, and it rose from the dead ?! … Well, I guess it is that time of the year :) … how strange (?!), so coincidental I think :).…..  HHHOOOYYYAAAHHH :)!

Sections 4.2… Mindfulness (Spiritual Connection between Nature & Ourselves) & 4.3… Live Life from the Heart, Humble, and with inner Child Like Exuberance. (3/2/19)

Thought I would address the additional information provided in the Book’s section 4 which covers other areas aside from section 4.1 Spirituality which has been the focus of previous twitter and Blog posts generated to date for the most part (i.e.  in light of a Key Aspect of the Wellness Process to… allow Our/Your Faith to Grow… ).  As stated, I  cover subject sections 4.2 & 4.3 in this Blog post.  Next post will include the last section 4 section 4.4 Simplifying Your Life & Putting this section 4 Belief System in Perspective; in this section I address  such things as the current issues/problems with Overuse of the Cell Phone & Our texting ways, Social Media, Overly Complicating Our Lives, and most Importantly, Losing site of the “Big Picture”… all adding up to reasons why we are hurting more Now than ever before as humans.

As written in section 4.2 Mindfulness

“In Buddhist meditation, Mindfulness is a Spiritual faculty that is considered to be of great importance in the path to enlightenment according to the teachings of Buddhism.  I am not sure how far and wide that Mindfulness comes into play but the aspect of Mindfulness I am discussing here is the understanding that here on earth, all things are interconnected and can be considered having the same make-up; this part of Mindfulness cannot be argued.    ..

What I am providing below is a mix of Christian and Buddhists beliefs, thoughts, and understandings.  There is a Book that I read in one of my recovery phases during my Life, called “Coming Home”.  This Book essentially draws the parallels in thought and beliefs between the Christian faith and Buddhism.  For Christians, this was a real good initiation and awareness of “Mindfulness”.  The aspect of Mindfulness involving the connectivity of things here on earth makes complete sense.  Please understand that the Book Coming Home is all that I am drawing from as far as my understanding of the Buddhist faith, so I am only referring to the Christian faith below as far as the religious ties are concerned.

All things, Living or not, were created by God.  God has provided us Perfection in terms of the Perfect world we were brought into.  Think about it, our Planet Earth was ecologically Perfect.  The only things that have tainted Earth, through the years, are people.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with this since God provided us all the resources here on Earth for the livelihood of all Living and breathing things (plant Life as well).  If people could only live their lives with reverence, respect for others, respect for planet Earth, Nature, and Wildlife, finding a balance between meeting our needs (only), and our environment,  Love and Forgiveness of ourselves and our fellow man/woman, being free from Greed and those strong needs for Power and Control, it would be nearly a Perfect world.  Unfortunately, that is not the case and that is strictly a Utopian way of thinking, and a mere Fantasy. 

……………. All of our needs for survival are provided to us through the beautiful resources and environment provided to us from God, that we live in and that surrounds us.  So appreciate these gifts, the relatively Simple things to the Magnificent things… The Sun, well that is physical presence in the universe that is God’s natural light and warmth that shines upon us and within us.  And without the Sun there are no Living things essentially, including ourselves, plants, trees, bushes, and animals.  There would also be no light to see, nor would there be Vitamin D that our bodies needs for our health (e.g. promotes calcium absorption for proper bone development and health). Then there is the Earth structure and it’s elements. Every Living thing extracts all their nutrients from the rocks, stones, metals, pebbles, boulders, and soils (and of course soil is the naturally processed form of all of this over a very long period of time).  So, whether we eat vegetables, or animals, we are getting our nutrients from these elements on the earth.  And as far as the Air we breathe (oxygen), it is provided by God (like everything) and replenished by the surrounding plants, trees, and bushes.  And of course, the plants, trees, and bushes require carbon dioxide which is the by-product of us, and the animals/wild life when we exhale. And then there is Water.  Without the precious resource Water (the staple, necessity, baptism, cleansing, and the sanctity of Life I call it), there would not be any Life, no plants, trees, bushes, etc. So when you sum it all up, when we live, eat, and breathe we are essentially eating and breathing all the Gifts provided to us, the Sun, the Earth, the Waters, and the Air.  

Well how about our other needs for survival, i.e. our clothing and shelter.  Well as you know everything that is built comes from either the Earth (metals, rocks, sand (for concrete)) or plants/trees whose source again is the Earth, Sun, Air, Water.  And as for our clothing, well that comes from plants (cottons, etc.), or animal (leathers), and you know where this is going.  So with all this in mind, you can see how everything is really connected and all things have a common make-up.  Interesting huh?  If this was a universal way of thinking wouldn’t it be easier for us Human Beings to live Life and treat our Environment with Reverence/Respect?.

 So, Mindful thinking is a great way of getting ourselves in the present moment which we often need to do, to help us concentrate on what we are doing as opposed to constantly thinking about how we are doing as A & D sufferers can be.  It really does help.  So, when I go get one of those Hazelnut Lattes on ice, easy on the ice, I call it Gods Milkshake, because it has all elements of our environment contained within.  So when you go out and you are about to eat or drink something,  outside, or inside a house or building, be Mindful of what you are consuming and where you are at; it is a real good tool and very pleasant/calming!”

And as written in 4.3 Live Life from the Heart, Humble, and with inner Child Like Exuberance:

“Try to Live your Life with the attitude of a child, taking in the present moments, the special moments, our surroundings & nature, and the simple things with inner Child-like Exuberance and Enthusiasm.  Otherwise, we turn old and grumpy :); what fun is that?  And if you believe in God/Jesus and the Bible, to get to heaven you need to approach things like that of a child.  And where do we prepare for heaven?  Well, simple – here on earth.  So, live your Life day to day and Feel the excitement, energy, and Enthusiasm of Life (like that of a child).  A YouTube link that I have included in section 7. really demonstrates much of what has been written here in section 4.  It is so refreshing and it is so fitting for this section as well as the whole Book.” …

 “And, Please, be yourself, live from the heart, and be humble.  Don’t put on any false image of yourself in real Life situations, on the job or anywhere really.  Isn’t it annoying when you see people putting on a false image of themselves?  And how about, when you see people in the business world, being arrogant, doing whatever it takes to get ahead, stepping on people in the process.  I have ZERO RESPECT FOR PEOPLE LIKE THAT! I certainly don’t know how such people face themselves in the mirror on a daily basis.  The magic word is DENIAL.  So instead, Live Life with Reverence/Respect.”

If I were to change anything … Sect. 4.1 Spirituality, & Influence of Positivity Tools/Skills Process vs. Our Spirituality/Our Faith dealing with Anxiety/Depression or related (1/31/19)

The most difficult paragraph in this Book to write was the opening paragraph in section 4.1 (Spirituality). :

I firmly believe there is a need to believe in a Higher Power in our lives. Need to identify up front that I am Christian, so I refer to the Higher Power as God and our Savior as Jesus Christ.  Other Religions may have a different name for their Higher Power and may not have a Religious Being that parallels Jesus Christ; that I do not know. So please, if you practice your faith through a different Religion, while reading through this material, then please, make the associated switch to the name of your Higher Power and it should be all real and fitting for you as well.”

WELL, THIS PARAGRAPH TURNED OUT TO BE THE INITIAL IMPETUS TO DO THE 4TH/FINAL EDITION — “THE FINAL CUT”  OF THIS BOOK… SEE THE 3/19 BLOG POST AND THE UPDATED WORDS PER THIS SECTION 4.1 FIRST PARAGRAPH….

I wrote this Book for the general public and it was intended not to discriminate against any Faith or Belief System. But being Christian, made this a Very Difficult task to initially write and keep these words as is.  For a minimum reword consideration, per a middle of the road approach, I would remove the words “all real and” in the last line/sentence , and leave it written as:   “… So please, if you practice your faith through a different Religion, while reading through this material, then please, make the associated switch to the name of your Higher Power and it should be fitting for you as well.” Just a better feel here … Tough subject!…

I was considering applying additional words to the end of that paragraph, which were in mind when writing and when justifying this paragraph along the way; something to the effect:

I do know what the Bible says, but I thought I am not the JUDGE nor MASTER, so how could I say otherwise not knowing what the final Verdict will be when All is Said and Done. And I know there are Lots of Good/Solid People out there who are not Christian, so … although, All that will be Done is already written in the Bible… Yeah, thought I would have to leave this hanging some if attempted rewording(?)

FYI: I never wanted to be Too One sided here, based on my Christian ties. This would tend to Turn Away, probably, the majority of the General Public … Always wanted to Lure and not Drive People away from these said Matters/Considerations.

So, Yes, the 1st paragraph words written in section 4.1 are in a nebulous state.  Just did not want to offend…  But what I had in mind to justify matters: For those questioning or uncertain about their Faith, aside from addressing my Christian Faith/Roots, I have Jesus or God/Jesus written in the text in 35 locations within the Book following the noted 1st paragraph, making it Very Clear where my Faith resides and What Works. I felt this would tend to draw those unsure about their Faith, in the direction of Christianity… Again, didn’t want to turn off the General Public/People to these matters up front, but wanted them to not be offended and be willing to re

In a other section 4.1 paragraph, I do happen to have a very near-sighted/boneheaded personal insight/sentence which I just did not see when publishing the 3rd/Final Edition changes for the Book.  That sentence is underlined:

Per the Core material I learned from, and as I recently felt first hand, having experienced a recent depressive hurdle, Forgiveness towards Ourselves, is a Huge Factor when dealing with and overcoming our negativity and resulting A & D.  What is stated/”NOTED” in the Program I learned from, is “Refusing to forgive oneself is quite an arrogant stance.  This position places you above all others.  Refusal to forgive promotes self-centered pity.”  Although this may pertain to some people as far as their feelings are concerned (?), I never felt this way from the perspective that I would or could never put myself above anybody else for and about anything (period), unless I were to pay attention to occasional but unreal negative thoughts which I certainly know are not real and, most importantly, are thoughts I never would or could act upon. ……” —- Yes, a very near sighted/boneheaded sentence! Obviously, refusing to Forgive oneself does make it look like one would be placing themselves at a level above the human standards. But I Forgive myself for this :).

& YES THIS WAS ALSO UPDATED PER THE 4TH/FINAL EDITION — “THE FINAL CUT” OF THIS BOOK … SEE BLOG POST DATED 3/19…

Aside from these section 4.1 issues, I do include various Book statements saying e.g.  “…. if you are a significant A & D sufferer, being able to heal yourself on faith alone without the proper Skills/Tools addressed in this Book, just does not seem possible….”  Or earlier in the Book’s Introduction I indicate:  “Very Religious people usually believe that Spirituality/God alone is all that is necessary to shed one from significant levels of Anxiety and Depression.  I believe for some that could be true.”

I do understand it is an Individual matter when considering the Influence and Needs for Our Spirituality/Our Faith/Our Foundation vs. the Positivity Tools/Skills Process in dealing with issues of Anxiety & Depression or related. The more the negativity and the Deeper the Anxiety/Depression Hole we are in, the more one would feel as those existing words indicate.  With a more Positive mindset and lower levels of Anxiety/Depression going on, relying on Faith alone seemingly would be more than feasible, as I have understood from others.  As far as Positivity is concerned, Our Faith/Our Foundation is the basis of Our Positivity…  When we do the Right things in Life, we typically feel Good and Positive, and when we don’t, we don’t…  But don’t get me wrong. In my case I always did or always tried to do the Right thing, but I had all that irrationality in thought and  negativity that dragged me down… Additionally … As Our Faith Grows, Our Fears diminish…

In the Book I already address the general influence of the Positivity Tools/Skills vs. Our Foundation/Our Faith in dealing with Anxiety/Depression, indicating Our Foundation/Our Faith/Spirituality is “at least half the game” in dealing with and Solidifying A/D matters, and Peace of Mind. I did mean to change all those areas in the Book where I originally had “is half the game”, but missed a couple spots.

As I age, having some setbacks along the way, and as I allowed my Faith to Grow, I realize the Significant Influence of Our Faith/Our Foundation in dealing with Anxiety/Depression.  And when merging the Positivity Tools/Skills Process with Our Faith/Our Foundation there is really nothing more than we can do for Ourselves in Life. Book Blog posts dated 9/19/8, 9/27/28, & 10/11/18, address and expand on these matters, as they contain extensions and extrapolations of the Book’s material which could be included in the Book for added definition.

I have been thinking about doing an update to this Book associated with what is stated within this Book Blog post, including contents from those Book Blog posts mentioned. Although, the main update I would want to make would be to that 1st paragraph in section 4.1, which I would have to leave hanging some as indicated.
